Dyno-Rod - North West London Arvostelua 

Very polite and efficient operative job done very impressed

On the 14th May 2025, I requested a small toilet repair for the 16th May 2025. I also called the helpline to confirm that the request had been received and the visit had been booked in. I took a whole day of annual leave from work and waited for the plumber. In the mid-afternoon, I had had no plumber or message. I called the helpline and was told that my job was on the system. In the late afternoon, I called the helpline again and was told that the job had not been assigned to any plumber. Basically, I wasted a day of leave waiting for a plumber who never came. I contacted Dyno-Rod twice more online and had no response. I think that now I will give up and try to find another plumber. This has been an annoying situation, especially since Dyno-Rod had been very effective on another plumbing job back in 2015 at the same flat. I wonder what has gone wrong with this well-known, nationwide company?
Edit: I was told that I have to call British Gas to get a Dyno-Rod appointment. This only makes sense if you know that British Gas owns Dyno-Rod. It's so counter-intuitive. Why isn't there a redirection on the Dyno-Rod website to British Gas?
Edit: 22nd May - finally got redirected to correct sub-division and booked appointment for 3rd June. Fingers crossed that it will be successful.

The person who came was polite and did the job well.
However, he was done in 3 mins…faster than the time I took to wash my hands and so £190 to unblock a toilet is way too steep!

I cannot praise Dyno-Rod enough! From my first phone call to the company when a polite and efficient lady (Tara, I believe) helped book me an appointment, to when the engineer (Jamie) attended and resolved my blocked drains. Jamie was incredibly professional and diligent, and worked hard to fix the issue.

I had an appointment with Dyno-Rod and was told I’d receive a call 30–60 minutes before the engineer’s arrival. Instead, the engineer showed up unannounced and claimed to have called me only once upon arrival — my phone didn’t ring, and no voicemail or text was left. His arrival is clearly recorded on our smart door camera.

My wife, who was at work, spoke to him through the smart camera and asked him to wait while she contacted me, but he left without any follow-up or message. I had made time for the visit and received no courtesy at all.

I called the office to understand what happened and was met with a defensive attitude. I tried again later, hoping for better support, but encountered the same dismissive response.

The lack of communication, failure to follow their own procedures, and poor customer service were incredibly frustrating. I expected better from a company like Dyno-Rod.

Worth every Penny. I could have purchased a pressure washer and drain clearing kit but that would have only done half the job at double the price if I was lucky. Dyno-Rod where very thorough and removed a lot of tree-roots and debris including some bits of bricks and tiles then pressure washed the entire drainage system until it was absolutely clear can't thank them enough. Would I recommend them yes absolutely, they know there stuff and have the right kit.

I hate leaving bad reviews, but we have a contract with British Gas who outsource plumbing to Dyno-Rod and on the two occasions I've had to call them out, they've turned up, scratched their heads, made excuses and then spent more time writing up their reports than doing any work (20 minutes last time, after telling me there was nothing he could do.) He then sat in his van for a further 15 minutes before leaving. Disappointing. From the moment they arrived, it was clear they had no intention of working. Such a shame.

Guy that came was very good and knew his stuff.

Blocked main drain - took their chap (Aaron) 4 hours of seriously hard work to clear (verified, as I was with him the majority of the time). Lovely chap and recommend wholeheartedly. Cleared up afterwards (don’t ask !!!).

Extremely happy with the service today. Easy to book an appt online. Dave cleared the blockage in our waste water outflow pipe. He checked all the other outflow pipes as well. Would definitely use this company again.

What a fantastic service! From the outset Dyno were fabulous, the woman on the phone really helped as I was in a panic and got someone to us quickly. The man that came quickly identified the problem and sorted it within about 20 minutes. I can’t recommend Dyno highly enough!

Had a blockage in the waste pipe which caused problems in the bathroom come out within a few hours and sorted the issue quickly despite being out of hours.

Polite and respectful, wiped feet at door before coming in.

Got a txt that the engineer was scheduled to turn up 8 -6 , which he did just after 12 - asked me exactly what the problem was and explained in precise details how the drainage system actually worked !! , even managed to pinpoint the cause of damp in the bedroom- a broken underground pipe and told me how to fix it - and he managed to check and unblock 2 of the five drains in my property ,the other 3 were fine . Will definitely use this company again as he did exactly what I asked for and more ..
