Dulux Decorator Centre Arvostelua 

The base for the Heritage paint I needed was out of stock at the Telford store. I was disappointed as I was in the middle of decorating my hall and the paint needed a final coat. Jackie telephoned all stores in a 20 mile radius and all were out of stock.
She promised to secure one as soon as possible. Not only did she manage to secure one later the same day but gave it to me under their Promise offer which was free for an apology because they had been out of stock and because the colour I had chosen required a 3rd coat.
The Heritage paint is lovely so I was not complaining however the customer service was above and beyond.

Have visited the Dundee Dulux Centre twice now. On both visits staff help & input were invaluable. Great ideas & great patience. In particular, Rhianne Wilson was very helpful & also Lorna. Both have great customer skills & they were delightful. Wouldn’t go anywhere else! They ALL seem like a well oiled team & it shows! Thanks to all the staff

Called to Tallaght centre at about 2.30pm today. Picked up two tester pots of paint and went up to counter. Four or five staff behind counter talking and I believe I was invisible to them. Not one of them looked at me or made any offer of assistance. I waited for a few minutes then walked out leaving the test pots on the counter. This I`m sure will be evident on your CCTV. Needless to say, I won`t be back or buying any Dulux paint again.

Bought 2.5L of Soft Stone paint to paint our living room wall and it ended up turning the wall a pink/ purple! A completely different colour to what is shown on the tin and to how it appeared in the tin. Now I have had to re-undercoat the wall and paint it back to Magnolia. Wasted two days of my holidays trying to rectify it, you don’t expect this kind of issue from a reputable, premium paint brand.

Although the staff are pleasant, I have just paid £85 for a large tin of Dulux diamond emulsion, and just seen it at Screwfix for £65. Not on offer, just normal price. And Dulux supermatte is also £20 more expensive at the decorator centre. £40 over the top on two tins of paint. I will never go there again.

Still waiting for 1 roll of wallpaper ordered a week ago my job is on hold until I receive it not very quick service.

I had an exceptional experience at the Bracknell Dulux Decorators Centre thanks to Cameron! Last week, I sought advice and assistance from him, and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. Initially, I visited the Slough branch to get some Diamond Matt paint mixed to a standard Dulux colour called ‘Almost Oyster’. To my disappointment, I was informed that they couldn't reproduce this colour in a Diamond Matt mix, and I was given a convoluted explanation that didn't sit well with me. Unhappy with the Slough branch's response, I decided to try my luck at the Bracknell branch. That's when I met Cameron. He confidently assured me, "No problem!" He meticulously double-checked the colour I wanted by scanning it with their in-house colour scanning tool. Cameron expertly mixed the paint, and it turned out absolutely perfect. Thank you, Cameron, for your outstanding service! I'm truly grateful for your help.

I consider myself a dulux decorator, consistently using and recommending the paint, popped in to the St Albans branch today and was unbelievable shocked at the price, by the time I had picked up my third item and worked out the overspend I just couldn't do it, I put them all back on the shelf, on my way out I mentioned these unreasonable costs to a member of staff and he even agreed with me. I understand all things are going up in price ect.. but the mark up on the items compared to their local competition is astounding, I traveled and additional 6 minutes to brewers decorating centre, much better range, helpful staff, and much more reasonable on the cost.

I have been with dulux decorating centre for 7 years, this will be my last order. From poor service in the shop, bad colour mix, bad phone service and late deliveries have caused me hundreds of pounds , their staff turn over if high with new staff not knowing products. Computers running slow etc etc

Placed order online (20th June) for 3*7.5 litre tubs of magnolia emulsion plus an extending painting pole as Dulux had a promotion on. Money taken immediately.
Magnolia chosen as, throughout their website, Dulux state it's one of the few colours they have ready mixed.

Given a collection date of the 26th June from my local store (Halifax). Phoned on the day to check, the order wasn't ready and I was asked to phone back in a couple of days.

28th June - store phoned me, still no paint arrived and they didn't know when it would be available (despite magnolia being one of their base products).

3rd July - called into local store to double check what was happening. No lead time could be provided but they promised to keep checking on my behalf (which they have done).

13th July - phoned by the local store, still no magnolia available. I questioned this - based on their website saying it's a base product - and they mentioned that it was only not available in the 7.5 litre tubs I'd ordered (at the promotional price). Explained I don't care what size the tubs are so long as I get at least the amount of paint I'd paid for. They went away to check then explained I would have to cancel my order and place a new one. I asked if price matching would take place, they said no but they would try to get it as close as possible to my original order. Well, the new quote was an additional £75-ish more expensive than my original order. Gets you thinking that Dulux head office simply didn't want to honour their promotional prices. I'd had enough by this point so asked for a refund which was received after a few days.

The staff at Halifax were good - knowledgeable, friendly and tried to help but seemed hamstrung by the online ordering system and poor central processes/customer service. The local store would get 5*, this 1* score is for Dulux online.

I'd have hoped that Dulux would have put more emphasis on customer service and ensured a customer received what they have paid for, offering workarounds where necessary, rather than dragging things out to a bad conclusion.

Within 15 minutes of cancelling the Dulux order I'd been onto Screwfix online and ordered nearly double the amount of paint (of a comparable brand) and a similar extending pole for considerably less than my original order. It was ready to collect 15 minutes later. Dulux online should look to the likes of Screwfix for ideas on how to improve.

They charge double the price,Hampstead staff are poor.

I could not be more impressed with Truro DDC and its team. Ruan in particular is highly knowledgeable and helpful and is a fantastic ambassador for Dulux.

I had only a simple requirement, but the team at the Dulux Decorator Centre in Hemel Hempstead were friendly, knowledgeable & efficient. The prices might appear a little higher, but the product quality more than makes up for this!.

Overpriced paint. Paid over £400 for four tins. One was totally incorrect colour. Instead of delivering the correct colour and taking back the wrong tin, they have told me it’s my responsibility to drive to them with the wrong colour of paint.

Ordered a wood oil online for pick up at the Dundee Branch , paid for it and it was due in stock within 4 days , next day branch called to tell me there would be an £12 delivery charge that they would charge , surely this should have been stated on the website , won’t use again

I'm not a professional decorator so hadn't realised I could shop here, but so glad I popped in to ask. We were after a specialist paint for old plaster after stripping decades of wallpaper, and needed an expert's knowledge to make sure we bought the best products for the job.

Yes it cost a little bit more than a big hardware shop's own brand, but the advice the two Saturday staff in Gloucester gave was fantastic. We've got exactly what our walls needed, and help from people who know their stuff and wanted to make sure we got the best results possible. Really impressed.
