Dulux Decorator Centre Arvostelua 

I visited the Dulux Decorator Centre in Leigh over the weekend to purchase some emulsion and gloss for my new house. Although I found out the machine was down, Andy was extremely helpful in recommending the Salford store. When I got there, I found out Andy had even called ahead to help! Truly fantastic.

Couple days later, I decided I didn’t like the paint I’d picked once it was on the walls.. (oops) so I called the Leigh store again to ask if the machine was back up and running. By the time I got to the store, I was greeted by Andy and Phil with the paint mixed and ready to go.

Truly exceptional service, can’t praise them enough! Will definitely be going back when I decorate the rest of the house! 🙂

Following excellent service recently at the BARNSTAPLE store, I returned today to buy a particular paint type and colour, but Anita whom I saw said,on enquiries to me, that the the finish might not be satisfactory on a metal surface and suggested an alternative paint type which would perform better, and also a good colour match to what I wanted to achieve.
So again, great advice and service from the professionals.

Appalling website, cannot sign up for Trade Account online, and once done, checkout doesn't work (or wasn't working for any of the 2 days I was trying to place an order online after having spoken to them.

However in-store - excellent! Stevenage sorted out the order and had the paint ready super quick with a phone call to say online payment link issued, and then to say paint was ready. Hooray for a person to deal with!

We went to the Yeovil branch today and had good customer service from the young lady there. However the paint is very expensive - and 2 , 2.5litres of paint £150. One tin we noticed was damaged so I came back immediately we had left the shop, to ask if it could be changed. I was served this time by a tall man. His response was just “No. You have had the paint mixed and it is fine in the tin “. He ignored my concern for the dent and his response of just”No” was rude and impolite. He bent the tin back to shape, walked away . He needs training on how to handle customer complaints, and how to respond to customer complaints politely. Especially when they have spent a lot in the store and could be back ( unlikely now).

Impossible to get it sorted.
Went to Wikes Maidstone for a mixed paint, gave the code, and the colour came out different.
Went back to the shop the get a refund, impossible as Dulux owns the machine, so is not their fault.
Got in touch with Dulux via chat, sent the photos of the can, the codes, the finish, and receipt.
They sent me a voucher, 2.5l satinwood.
I decided to go to Dulux Aylesford decation centre, shown them the voucher and they told me that it was only for the white, not the mixed paint.
Got in touch with Dulux again, they sent me another voucher, for mixed paint.
I went to the same decoration centre, but again refused, the voucher is only for oil based paint (I sent the photos of the can...). I asked the lady if she could call Dulux to understand what to do: "It's friday at 16.00, nobody is there anymore. Come Monday morning and we will sort it out."
Came back this morning to the same decoration centre, full of hopes, only to hear from the same lady "there is nothing we can do".
I called Dulux again, and they wanted to send me another voucher... I refused and insisted for a refund.

TAKEAWAY.
1- Always check the paint before taking it home, and refuse to buy if you feel is wrong. Wikes Maidstone was a joke.
2- Avoid Aylesford Dulux decoration centre, they have no committment to help the customers. Making a call is not difficult, and Dulux replies within 3 minutes. They just don't care.
3- I switched to Valspar, I may need to repaint my walls instead of retouching them, however I have been 4 times to the decoration centre (2.5h), 3 times to Wikes (1h), 3 to other different shops to try to fix this (1h). Total is 4.5 h wasted, lots of frustration, and schedule behind.

Steven was so helpful and knowledgeable. He helped to sort us with our products, and sorted out opening a trade account, easy no fuss and definitely recommend using the Preston store. Thanks Steven.

Incredibly fast and efficient delivery. No complaints about product or service. As for the negative reviews here, most seem to relate to pricing, but in every case they had the opportunity to shop around first. No business can be cheapest on every product line. Nobody forces you where to buy, so if you don't check the price first you have no right to complain afterwards.

I went shopping for Paint this afternoon at the Dulux Centre in Llandudno. Dion was extremely helpful and explained all products and prices helping me to make up my mind. Thank you.

Had to have the product colour mixed on site. Later found it quite a lot cheaper in Wickes, ready mixed. Member of staff was not really customer friendly. Won't be using again.

Customer Beware...Dulux have now informed me my Bank details have potentially been harvested due to their Data Security breach. I’m now without a Bank card for five days at least as my Bank states the risk is to high.

I can’t recommend Solihull Dulux Decorator Centre highly enough. The service was fantastic from start to finish, with a great range of products and a very welcoming atmosphere.
A special mention has to go to Jade, the store manager, who was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and genuinely took the time to make sure we got exactly what we needed. Nothing was too much trouble, and her customer service really stood out.
It’s refreshing to find a store where staff clearly care about their customers. I’ll definitely be using this Decorator Centre again and would recommend it to anyone without hesitation.

Asked for RAL3003, Ruby Red. The in voice says RAL3003. The paint is the wrong shade and isn't close to the other mix of the same RAL number. It is clearly RAL3000, flame red. At the £47 for 1 litre (which seeme a bit steep) I'm not a happy customer. I want a refund.

Polyfilla One Fill is £19.28 in the Dulux store, it's £9.99 in Toolstation. How can they possibly justify that?! Shan't be going there ever again

I ordered Barn Paint from them as they were the cheapest I could find. I was told it would take a week for free delivery, which was fine. It actually arrived on my doorstep 2 days later and I received an text confirming delivery. Excellent service and I will use them again. Saved me loads of time and petrol costs.

Bought some vapour mate pads. They had them behind the counter, no price shown. I should have checked by they were over 50% more expensive than from tool station.
I guess my fault but I don’t have time to return and go elsewhere. I’ll know next time to not go there in the first place

Been using Paignton branch I’m a decorator from nearby and spending up to £2000 a month when I said I could get the paint from Brewers’s cheaper I was told by the assistants that they would price match for me which was great I went in a week later. I need to be told by I presume the manager of the Shop Chris that they won’t price match again for me and he has told both assistance in the shop they are not to do it for me. It seems to be if your face don’t fit you ain’t getting it. I will now be using Brewers all the time.

Amazing service. I ordered Dulux paint at 845am and they mixed it and delivered it by 1130am. And didn't even charge for delivery. The colour matching was perfect too. Definitely recommend them as I had been let down by Paint Shed with awful colour matching.

I’m deeply disappointed by the way my wife was treated in Walthamstow E17 shop.

She was spoken to in a rude and dismissive manner by a member of staff. Moments earlier, the same staff member was polite, smiling, and friendly towards a white customer. There was no reason whatsoever for such a sudden change in behaviour.

The contrast was so obvious that even other customers in the shop commented on how unacceptable it was. My wife left the shop in tears. When I later raised this with the same staff member, he dismissed the concern instead of apologising or showing any awareness.

We can see no explanation for this disgusting behaviour other than a blatant dislike of either her skin colour or her religious headscarf. No one should be treated this way. This incident has been formally reported to police and complained about, and I hope management takes it seriously.

Hi, i’m not happy that they wont take a return of an unopened unused role of wallpaper. I’ve spoken to Galerie they have told me to come back to Dulux!
I can’t understand why you can’t take back the extra role which I only took as a precaution.
Not happy.

However when I rang customer services at Dulux they sorted out my issue to my satisfaction via their customer services. Now that’s a great result.
