I have recently purchased a Ford Puma from D.M.Keith Ford on Canal road Bradford and I was dealt with by Ash Pitts and I have to say I was dealt with in a very friendly and most efficient manner by this sales executive and I would recommend him and the other staff I met most highly !!!!!

Disappointed with my experience at DM Keith Skoda etc Grimsby.

My 3-year-old Skoda Karoq with 62,000 miles recently failed MOT due to leaking shock absorbers. The independent garage and a separate Tyre company advised that the shocks were seriously leaking and one appeared to have lost its fluid completely. They advised that I should contact Skoda for a repair under warranty as they should not be in that state after 60000 miles and should be replaced with no cost.

I contacted Skoda Grimsby who arranged a prompt appointment, order parts and said that as the car was 3 years old it would be a warranty claim. Mileage was never mentioned on the call.

The day before the appointment I was contacted to confirm my arrival time, and the reason for the visit. A lot of comments were made about “misting” and that a warranty wouldn’t cover this and it wasn’t a reason to fail an MOT (even though it had). Again no questions re mileage.

Dropped off and after 4 hours a call to say mileage was over 60k so warranty invalid. I said that they needed repairing anyway as it wouldn’t pass MOT so requested a price (£670).Despite this, I was told by the dealership/Skoda that the shocks were merely “misting” and should not have failed MOT. The garage who completed the MOT have 100% assured me that a leak is a fail, and this was definitely not just misting (again confirmed by a tyre fitting company)

I appreciate the vehicle is slightly outside the 60,000 mile warranty limit, however I would have expected more support given the car is only around 2,000 miles beyond warranty and the issue relates to safety-critical suspension components.

Most disappointing was the contradiction between the MOT assessment and the dealership response rather than the warranty position itself.

As an aside, local garage will repair next week at 50% less cost and that includes a new MOT.

Confirms to me why i don’t trust dealerships and why I won’t buy a Skoda again.

Shocking service and sales @ Bradford Legal proceedings just started as they have sold a car not fit for purpose unsafe and shouldn’t have even left the forecourt. No communication failed to respond to customer and finance company. Ombudsman now involved and solicitors. Do not buy from DM KEITH BRAFORD

We visited D M Keith BYD Leeds showroom this week. We were assisted by a very courteous gentleman Sam. He very kindly reassured us about the vehicle we were inquiring about and gave us a very informative drive in the vehicle. Sam then introduced us to Fozia Siddique the Sales Executive. Fozia took us through the purchase of our new vehicle and step by step she explained everything she was doing. We couldn't have asked for a more reassuring and helpful visit. Fozia then went through all the functions of the vehicle in detail. This was our first electric vehicle and we needed a great deal of tuition. Happily Fozia showed great patience and exemplary knowledge. Thank you Fozia very much appreciate. Thank you Sam too.

I was buying my first car in 37 years after retiring and having had company cars during that time.

I saw a car I liked and Mike Chambers looked after me from start to finish. The car was great and I knew I wanted it but the buying process was handled by Mike in at totally professional, courteous and respectful manner. Every step of the way was communicated in a timely fashion and Mike is a very personable man.

I would have no hesitation in recommending DM Keith and I would use them again in the future.

After a month after delivery still waiting for the V5C log
book. Told to pay £25 by DVLA. Am also waiting on the service report on last service to prove to Kia car has been serviced as required for guarantee work needed.
Also paid £375 to have car low loaded delivery, but car driven by road down from Leeds with deflated front tyre, that needed repair. And the engine bay covered in leaves and debris needed steam cleaning.. Not happy with this dealer. Advise all to treat with suspicion.

The worst experience buying a car was with these muppets. Ordered a pre reg Changan but still took a month to deliver and after insurances were brought and day was booked off work at 3pm the day before they cancelled the delivery. So I lost a days pay and money through cancelling the he insurance policies. As a result I cancelled the order so they lost a customer along with the lease company. I wouldn’t waste my time with them again. As the customer service was shocking. Even after 4 days of cancellation a driver tried to deliver a car which couldn’t be signed for as I hadn’t known that it was booked. But shows they can’t plan or organise. What a shambles. Spend your money with a company that cares

The staff especially Robert Slivinsky and Lewis Marshall. They both made my buying experience really comfortable and easy. Robert was the salesperson who did the major work and was very efficient and helpful. This was my first time buying from Kia and I will definitely recommend the company and staff at DM Keith St Ledger House Doncaster DN4 8SJ. Thanks again to everyone especially Robert.

I rarely leave reviews, but I feel this experience should be shared.

I purchased a vehicle from DM Keith Leeds and reported faults within one month of ownership. The faults were safety-related, yet I was unable to have the vehicle inspected for over a month.

From that point onwards, the issues were repeatedly misdiagnosed. I was informed that specific parts had been replaced, however a subsequent dealer later replaced the same component again — at which point DM Keith denied ever working on that part.

Communication deteriorated significantly during the process, with emails eventually going unanswered altogether.

I also submitted a Subject Access Request. Information provided was incomplete, with key items (including a video and final workshop report referenced in internal communications) not disclosed.

The situation ultimately had to be escalated to the Financial Ombudsman, who ruled in my favour. The finance agreement was formally unwound, and the vehicle has now been returned.

What is most disappointing is that more time appeared to be spent disputing and deflecting the issue than properly diagnosing it. The vehicle itself had the potential to be very good, but the overall experience turned into a 12-month process that could likely have been avoided with a more thorough and transparent approach.

This has been the worst experience I’ve had with a dealership.
