We had food poisoning from this place!!
Absolutely disgusting, we didn’t eat much of it, by next day we were violently ill, how these people are still going is beyond me.
AVOID!!!

This is a dirty and an irresponsible takeaway shop.
I tried to buy two pizza Mexicano and mighty meat feast and they send a a wrong order and the last straw was the pizza had 3 hairs on top 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

When I call them they ignored me completely and hangs up on me.

Why we less this kind of abuse happen if we pay for a service
It’s not a free food we pay to treat the family and we and to throw as they didn’t take the responsibility.
Never by food in that place if you want to treat your family.
Council food hygiene must check and take some action against this takeway.

Visited the Stockton branch on Tuesday 2nd September. My son got a value meal £5:49 it was ready quick and we left we got take out. Half way to the car we checked the bag and the order was wrong and no drink. We went back and said the order was wrong. A rude member of staff dressed in the uniform appeared asking what the problem was. Explained the meal was wrong and no drink or garlic dip as requested. Unfortunately there was no replacement for 20 minutes so my son decided to pick a new meal. They charged me an additional £3.49 so they’ve over charged me now as the meal he chose second time around wasn’t £8.98! Waited for it and whilst doing that the staff in uniform decided to reprimand the other staff member who gave us the wrong food in front of us. Not professional. Got home with the food and the burger was dripping with mayonnaise it was disgusting! Never again. Really poor customer service.

Not bad after a night out but bro, the gates of hell opened up below. Eating Dixie’s chicken is a choice you make when it’s 3 am and no where else is open, the bevvies are in full force in your system and you missed Corrie that week. Food at peak nighttime with entertainment to match. But don’t let that fool you, if you want to sit down for the next 24 hours or have things to do, take your drunken self home and eat some left overs. Your bowels will thank you.

On a real, it’s not bad. It’s an average chicken shop that stays open until late. During the day, I’d just opt for a maccies. Writing this from the toilet. Never again.

I am writing to formally escalate my complaint regarding repeated, unacceptable customer service at your Newtown branch. Despite multiple visits, my experience has consistently been disappointing and wholly unprofessional.

On several occasions, I have been deliberately ignored by a member of staff named Ameerah (or Amirah), who chose to serve customers who arrived after me. This behaviour was not an isolated incident but occurred repeatedly, making it appear intentional. Such treatment demonstrates a lack of basic courtesy and professionalism.

When I raised this matter with the branch manager, his handling of the situation was equally unsatisfactory. He provided me with the mobile number of your CEO, Mr. Hassan. I subsequently sent a detailed, professionally written letter outlining my concerns. While Mr. Hassan was polite in initial contact, no action was taken to address my complaint, and no follow-up was received-( See my letter to hime further below).This failure to act reflects poorly on the leadership and accountability of the company.

On 25.07.25, I once again placed an order and was met with the same dismissive attitude. My time was wasted, and my order was not fulfilled.

This ongoing pattern of behaviour is unacceptable for any customer-facing business. I urge Dixy Chicken to take the following actions without delay:

1. Conduct a thorough investigation into the conduct of the staff at the Newtown branch.
2. Provide mandatory customer service and professional conduct training to all employees.
3. Issue a formal written response outlining the steps being taken to ensure such incidents do not recur.

Please consider this letter a formal complaint under UK consumer law. I expect a written acknowledgement within 14 days and a full, detailed response within **28 days**. Failure to respond adequately may result in my pursuing the matter with Trading Standards, the local council, and relevant consumer review platforms.

I am writing to formally raise a serious complaint regarding the repeated and unpleasant experiences I have had at your Dixy Chicken branch in Newtown, Birmingham, most recently on Friday, 25th July 2025 around 4.30 p.m

On that day, while I was standing at the front of the queue at the counter, I was blatantly ignored by one of your staff members, Ameerah, who chose to serve customers standing behind me instead. This was not only disrespectful and discourteous but also showed a complete lack of the basic customer service standards expected from a reputable establishment such as yours.

What makes this matter even more concerning is that this was not an isolated incident. I have experienced similar treatment from Ameerah on multiple occasions, with consistent displays of rudeness, unprofessional conduct, and a dismissive attitude. I can only assume this repeated behaviour is intentional, as there is no justifiable reason for it.

I reported the issue to the branch manager on the same day, but no action was taken, nor did I receive an apology or acknowledgement. I had expected at least a basic level of accountability. Furthermore, I reached out to your office nearly two weeks ago and have still not received a response — which is deeply disappointing.

Therefore, I respectfully request the following as a matter of urgency:

1. A formal written apology for the repeated mistreatment I have received at your Newtown branch.
2. A clear explanation for Ameerah’s conduct and the branch manager’s failure to address the matter.
3. Confirmation that appropriate action will be taken to train staff on basic customer service, politeness, and respectful conduct.

If this issue is not addressed promptly and satisfactorily, I will have no option but to publicly share my experience on your website and other review platforms, so that other customers are made aware of the unacceptable service provided at this branch.

I have long supported Dixy Chicken, but repeated experiences like this are eroding my trust in your brand. I hope you will treat this matter with the seriousness and urgency it deserves.

The staff are very kind and they always serve their food on time and the food is never burned and always well cooked, especially their panini.

What a joke, still taking orders and money on Just Eats and they are closed for refurbishment. No food, no contact and now waiting on a refund.

The chicken was tasteless and dry and also the chicken is not a fresh one because is very dry and cracking. Bad choice

Employees are welcoming and kind.
It's clean and well-maintained; maybe take the bin around the back.
The food is great; give it a chance, and you won't be disappointed.

had been standing that long they had turned almost to cardboard, the staff had hardly any customer experience or needed more training, some staff was busy chatting and eating behind the counter, would never use again
