Delayed refund for order they cancelled!

I placed an order a couple of days ago, I received a confirmation email and almost immediately afterwards another cancellation one. However, the money is withheld and it will be so for 10-14 days, they told me! Since they are the ones that cancelled the order, this is a very bad policy on behalf of them!

To begin with , we've been shopping at Dillards for quite some time, but for the last few times at your Dillard's lynnhaven store 171 in virginia beach, has been anything but pleasant, what a disgrace this store has become, and speaking from a Males point of view, this store should not have their female employees prancing around with breast popping out of their attire,it could have been lingerie, my wife and I usually go to the EsteeLauder counter, but unfortunately we just happen to see this lady for the second time in your perfume dept, I guess she looked possibly 40ish, short in statue,my wife ask who this lady was and they said she is a Representative for a perfume brand, and that the Store Manager sees her all the time,and she always dresses like this,and never calls her boss, because she's close friends with the Business Manager,this is absolutely pitiful, WILL NOT PATRONIZE THIS STORE AGAIN.

If I could give Dillard’s zero stars I would. Twice my order was delivered to the wrong address and Dillards would do absolutely nothing to make it right. They told me it is not their responsibility and to take it up with my credit card. Really?! You have to be a really crappy company to handle this kind of an issue that way. I value my money so I will no longer risk losing it by placing another slap-shod order with Dillard’s. Their customer service is a joke!!

Disastrous experience. I have been buying at Dillards for several years. But recently the customer service became very poor. Order 768845504 arrived broken (the fragile product was not protected at all), orders 795158707 and 794862267 were cancelled due to the fact that the address can not be used (after over 50 orders deliver to this address). Interesting… Even more interesting that the money is not reimbursed for the orders cancelled. Good business.

I am a Dillard's cardholder sins 2013

I am a Dillard's cardholder sins 2013, never late, no issues, nothing. Last week I wanted to purchase some items, checked out the cart and got a confirmation. Just 5 minutes later I got an email saying that Dillards has canceled my order. No explanation nothing, just canceled. So I thought it may have been a system glitch. I called, the person at costumer care had no clue told, me to place the order again. I did, not 5 minutes later it got canceled again. I call the service again asking for a supervisor who then told me that I only could buy in stores as my card had a protest charge and the card was canceled for online purchase. I bought an Item in December which I returned in the close by store in January. I got refunded and that was it. 2 Days later I got a call from Dillards that the management has lifted the blockage on the card and that I now can use the card online again. No apology, no explanation...simply nothing...you can use your card again....Needless to say: I paid the little I had on it off and will close the account. I can take my money elsewhere.

3-Day return period is really 2 days.

My wife bought me a shirt on a special sale that had a 3-day return policy. I didn't care for the shirt so she returned it 3 days after the day she bought it. Turns out Dillard's considers the day of sale the first day of the 3-day return period so it was too late to return it and too late to exchange it. I asked her to never buy anything for me from Dillard's again and hopefully for herself too.

Is it new or used?

Ordered a "brand new" Coach bag online. Received it today. Talk about disappointed. Bag was thrown in box, not wrapped in tissue, no dust bag for it, no tissue on any of the metal and scuff marks on the metal C on front. Price tag ripped. This bag was sold as new with a price tag of $330 but definitely bought before and used. When I asked for discount on price, I was offered $33! Buyers beware!!

Dehumanization by associate.

In returned an online purchase to Dillard’s South Park on 4/22/26 and have never left a store feeling more humiliated in my life. When the associate took my purchase from the dress bag, she inspected it as if I had just handed her a bag full of counterfeit bills. She inspected every inch, every crease and crevice, as if I were a suspected criminal. I understand that used, or damaged
purchases should not be returned to the store. The dress has not been worn and was being returned because of the fit. She stated after inspecting for about 10 minutes, that it had make up and lots of spots in the center of the dress, which was impossible because I tried it on in store and once at home never worn. I’m not saying they a bit of makeup hadn’t gotten on the garment, which I count see, things happen. But the inspection with customers passing like I had stolen something was so dehumanizing. I’ve brought many items back to Dillards and had never been subjection to this type of what I consider emotional interrogation. Do better.

I went to the Dillards store at International Plaza, Tampa. I needed help at the perfume counter.Antonella Brancato,from Guerlain came over and was so attentive, sweet, kind. She offered her help and professional assistance. I got what I needed and I felt so important and valued as a customer. She is amazing. Ill be back!

DILLARD'S is horrible!

DILLARD'S is horrible!! They have horrible policies, horrible management, and they do not value their customers. They literally steal from their customers! I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN AND I HOPE YOU WON'T EITHER! I purchased a formal dress from a clearance rack. It looked good under the dim lighting in the store. A few weeks later when I tried it on at home I could see stains all over the entire dress, so bad that it could not be worn. They absolutely refused to give me a refund or exchange stating that they have a 3- day return policy on clearance items, even though their website states that those return limitations do not apply to merchandise that is damaged. The store manager in Colorado Springs is mean. She accused me of putting the tags back on the dress in the wrong location as if I would have damaged it myself and then returned it. She and her associates ganged up on me and were threatening me, who was the customer! I'm a grandmother and it was a bit scary to me. Why does society not speak up these days, but instead continue to support businesses like that, as if the customer is bad for asking for a refund or complaining about a product they paid money for that they can't use because it's damaged or defective; like it's just ok to be taken advantage of! I had other issues with them not honoring returns in the past but didn't learn my lesson until now.

I bought a $79 Honeylove bra from Dillards in Tucson (Park Place) while on vacation and wore it on and off for two weeks. It completely stretched and does not fit anymore. I called the store and they refused to make it right saying that I wore the item. Of course I wore it. They told me to call Honeylove, and they won't do anything about it because I bought it at Dillards. Dillards is not what they used to be. They sell shoddy clothing and do not help customers with defective items. Not a customer anymore.

Defective Ted Baker bag + dismissive customer service
I purchased a Ted Baker handbag at Dillard’s in Las Vegas before Christmas and discovered a clear manufacturing defect after only a few short uses — about two inches of trim were never sewn into the seam. When I contacted Dillard’s customer‑service chatbot, I was dismissed immediately because the purchase was “before Christmas,” even though this was obviously a quality‑control issue.
This isn’t my first problem with Dillard’s policies. Last year I was unable to return children’s dresses because their “3‑day return window” includes the day of purchase, making evening and holiday shopping practically impossible.
For context, I’ve worked in retail management, I’m a clothing designer, and I was a registered secret shopper in Nevada. I know what a manufacturing defect looks like, and I know what reasonable customer service should be. Dillard’s failed on both counts.
After repeated issues and financial loss, my husband and I will be closing our account again. Dillard’s policies and customer‑service structure do not support customers or the brands they carry.

Poor Support from Dillard’s

Poor Support from Dillard’s on a Defective Seiko Watch
I purchased a Seiko automatic watch from Dillard’s on January 4th, and after just a little over two months of normal daily wear, the watch began losing 10–15 seconds per day. I wear it all day and only remove it to shower, so it receives more than enough wrist movement to stay properly wound.
When I went back to Dillard’s for help, I didn’t receive any meaningful support or guidance. Instead, I was left to deal with the issue on my own. Seiko later told me I should “shake the watch 30 times every morning” to make it keep accurate time — which is not an acceptable solution for a new watch.
I expected better customer service from Dillard’s. A watch this new should not be losing time, and customers should not be left without proper assistance when a product is clearly defective. Very disappointing experience.

Looking for men's slacks that look good without dry cleaning

We were at Dillard's at The Summit shopping for men's dress pants. We met Quan D. Bui in the men's section. He worked above and beyond to find slacks that fit my husband's taste and size and looked good without dry cleaning. When we wanted a pair in navy, he ordered it to arrive back home in Washington state. I recommend him without hesitation.
