DFS Furniture - Swansea Arvostelua 

I was very interested in purchasing the Aventra sofa and, after doing a lot of research, contacted DFS to clarify whether the Bluetooth system would be compatible with my Samsung TV.

When I first raised the issue, I was told for several weeks that I would be able to have the Bluetooth device replaced if it wasn’t compatible with my TV. I continued considering the purchase based on that information and the reassurance I had been given that the issue could be resolved. After several weeks, I was then told that this wasn’t actually the case and that DFS would not replace it.

What I find particularly frustrating is that there appears to be a known issue with the Bluetooth system, for which there is already a fix available for customers who have purchased the sofa. Yet, when I asked whether the same solution could be provided to me before purchasing, I was told that if the Bluetooth didn’t work with my TV, DFS would not replace the device.

The communication throughout the process was poor, with different information being given by different people, making it very difficult to establish exactly what DFS’s position was.

Ultimately, I decided not to purchase the sofa, despite really liking it, because I wasn’t prepared to spend over £2,000 on a sofa when I couldn’t be confident that the Bluetooth feature would work with my TV, particularly after being told that DFS wouldn’t replace it if it didn’t.

It’s a real shame because the sofa was exactly what I was looking for, and there is already a fix available to some customers. It’s just disappointing that this solution isn’t available to everyone when the underlying Bluetooth compatibility issue appears to be a design flaw with the product.

For a sofa costing over £2,000, I expected much better communication, consistency and reassurance from DFS. Unfortunately, after weeks of being told one thing and then being told something completely different, I no longer had confidence in making the purchase.

Knowledge of the salesman, Nathan was second to none. He was incredibly helpful and provided us with a full breakdown of the available options and nothing was too much for him.

We had such a lovely experience at DFS Swansea yesterday and wanted to give a special mention to Hannah, who was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She was warm, friendly and really personable, and we never once felt rushed or under any pressure to make a decision. She was genuinely interested in helping us find the right sofas and accessories for our room and was so patient while we worked through different colours, fabrics and cushion combinations.
What could easily have felt like quite an overwhelming decision was actually a really enjoyable experience. Hannah gave us the time and space we needed while still being there with helpful advice whenever we wanted it.
