From the moment we walked into the Sunderland store all the staff were friendly, however I must mention how amazing Emma was. From start to finish she was patient, attentive, very knowledgeable and answered every query I had, she made the whole experience a lot more comfortable. I am very grateful and I love my new sofa's.

My wife and I visited dfs at Hilton grange on Thursday 27/08/2026. The showroom was well stocked with a good variety of styles, colours and fabrics. As we browsed, a smart young sales assistant said if we saw a sofa we liked she was there to help. When we were ready to speak to her she was able to tell us about the product which was very helpful. The sales assistant Lauren, explained different ways of paying,again very helpful. Our visit was very pleasant and are now looking forward to getting our new furniture in about six weeks time

We have bought many items from DFS over the years. It remains our favourite furniture store. Staff at the Sunderland store are friendly and accommodating. We have been served by Diallo a couple of times and can't praise him enough. A very friendly, patient man and makes a lovely latte. 100% would not shop anywhere else.Thank you for always making our shopping experience so relaxed.

The staff at DFS are amazing! We had been to another branch to look at sofas then came back to Sunderland with our full order prepared and Lauren was incredibly friendly and helpful! We actually managed to secure an instore deal which meant that we have managed to get our full lounge sorted during our visit. The staff are all incredibly welcoming and clearly are up to date on all of their offers, range and are able to explain everything to you clearly. We are returning customers to DFS but first time buyers from Sunderland and will return again in the future when we next need furniture.

We attended the store a few days ago and saw the sofas we were looking for. We were attended politely than and again today by the same lady. After making our choice we were read all of the terms and conditions and options. We did not feel any pressure and left highly delighted.

Dfs staff were amazing, was very confused looking online, soon as I went into store the staff were great helped me with everything I requested, my new sofa was ordered in the matter of 20 minutes! All my worries were gone! thankyou again.

The sales woman talked us through the process, was friendly and courteous. Offered us a coffee while we talked. Made the whole process relaxed and easy.
