When I go there to find a sofa for my house. We have got problem regarding space. The assistant is very friendly and supportive. He introduced several options fit for us. We decided which one best and we made the decision. We just went to there to see furniture. We haven't decided to buy the same day. But finally we made a decision to by because of the correct guidance by the assistant. It's really amazing.

Walked in was greeted by a very welcoming salesman, I told him my requirements, he then directed me to sofa’s within them, he was able to tell me about each sofa, give me the measurements and answer any questions I had

I made my choice, my expectations for delivery were managed

We purchased a sofa from DFS after traveling from my city around 30 miles away to their Leicester store, to get the right one.
6 weeks of waiting, the first delivery failed. I was told by phone that the delivery team wasn’t properly trained. After this, customer services told me to go to the Leicester store again to find a solution. We made the trip once more, but staff were more focused on asking who told us to come than actually helping. Despite explaining that the delivery notes were wrong both arms had already been removed and that we were even considering removing our living room window for access, we were ignored. A third delivery attempt was arranged without our input, and this time, the sofa was dirty and the arm was broken. What is even more frustrating is that we’ve been given conflicting information some staff say a 20% fee charge for not fitting , others say 30% for something damaged. We feel this is unjust since there was 2 pieces and insurance on the purchase but they rather cancel the whole order and say it does not fit. We relied on DFS’s advice, spent time traveling, and now they expect us to pay a large cancellation fee for a damaged sofa . I urge others to be cautious do not trust their advice blindly; check everything yourself before purchase, as DFS will shift the responsibility to you.

I buy sofa from DFS from fosse park leicester. One of the staff help us verry good. He show to may diffrant sofa and explain properly every thins . I will recommended vist store they have planty style sofa. Good service and very goos experience.

I received my sofa delivery on 24th June 26, but u know what delivery guys drop and gone ,they not open the box and said someone come to fix sofas? I called customer service and she said some one called me and arrange to fix sofa , but nothing happened? Worst service ever I seen .Don't buy from dfs

If I could give zero stars, I would. I purchased a sofa from the DFS Leicester branch, and the entire experience—from the deceptive showroom practices to the atrocious customer service—has been a complete nightmare.

Firstly, I was mis-sold the furniture. The display model in the showroom (which was leather) featured extensive, detailed stitching. The fabric version delivered to me had absolutely zero stitching. At no point did the salesperson inform me that the fabric version would lack these key design features. This is clear misrepresentation.

Secondly, the build quality is shockingly poor. The sofa was delivered with clear manufacturing defects: the seat cushions do not sit flush and leave uneven gaps, the USB ports feel incredibly cheap and tacked on, and the recliner mechanism does not have the same range of motion as the one demonstrated in-store.

I reported these faults on the exact day of delivery (May 18th) to exercise my short-term right to reject faulty goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. A manager came to inspect it a few weeks later and completely dismissed my legal rights, refusing to arrange a collection or refund and trying to pass off poor manufacturing as acceptable.

They clearly do not care about the Consumer Rights Act once they have your money or about any after-sales service. I have now had to escalate this as a formal Section 75 legal claim with my finance provider just to get my money back for a faulty, mis-sold item.

Save yourself the stress, time, and money. Avoid DFS completely.

Staff were very helpful and service was really nice which made our purchase seamless.
