DesignCabinet – Offizieller Herman Miller-Händler Arvostelua 

DesignCabinet are impossible to contact. If you have any question or issue with about an order or potential order: no one replies to emails sent to the address on their website. The phone number for DesignCabinet is a call center and the agents don't have access to emails you send either, they are absolutely clueless there. I phoned 4 times a week about my order and the agents did not know how to answer my query - they basically took all my details and said "we will check, thanks for your call" - and I heard nothing back. I sent emails asking for acknowledgement or any reply and am still waiting, 2 weeks later.

I ordered a Herman Miller chair end of October expecting delivery in November. Like a number of other customers I have faced huge disappointment with the responses from DesignCabinet who do not respond with any meaningful information.

Looking at the reviews it looks like service has dropped off the last years and the company is no longer responding to the reviews. Bad sign.

Hope to hear from DesignCabinet ASAP with an update to this and my order.

UPDATE: DesignCabinet contacted me and offered an alternative Herman Miller chair from stock which was shipped immediately. They responded quickly to questions and made an offer which they delivered on quickly.

I've purchased a Herman Miller Lino chair on November 24th. On December 9th I've started contacting them through the available support options:
- Email
- Web site Contact Form
- Phone

I've contacted them multiple times since then, with the objective to know the status of my order. So far no feedback!

During the 3 times that I've called their services, I was always informed that I would be contacted back in 2 days, but no return contact whatsoever...

This is looking like a scam now, or at least that I'm dealing with an extremely disorganized company with no support. Which is really strange for an Accredited Herman Miller Partner...

I have no idea if and when this situation will be resolved, but the fact that there a significant number of reviews with the same feedback indicates that this is not an exceptional case.

Avoid this company!

[update on 06/01/2025] I've called their customer services again and asked to speak with a supervisor or someone that can ensure that I will be contacted back as no feedback was ever returned. The agent informed me that there is no one else that I can contact and suggested that I get legal help!

[update on 08/01/2025] yesterday, after sending an email to the CEO and CFO (which the contacts are available at the Wexim website), I've received an email from support informing me that the chair will arrive on the week 7. Let's wait! Seems more like poor support and poor communication.

I ordered an Aeron Value Edition from their website, which offered the best price for this type of chair when purchased brand new. Delivery was impressively fast, taking only eight days from the order date to arrival in Portugal from Germany. Absolute Frechheit! Versprochen wurde eine Lieferzeit von 1-2 Wochen, geliefert wurde nach 4 Wochen noch immer nicht und auch eine Kontaktaufnahme ist über keine Weg möglich.

I ordered a Mirra 2 chair from Croatia. It arrived in record time, it was 30% cheaper than in Croatia and they also gave me a 10% discount. A+ company.

I have tried numerous times to get in contact with them for an order placed 2.5 months ago that has not been shipped. At first they said it would be shipped a month later, that date passed. Then I reached out again and they said it would be shipped in a couple of weeks, that date passed. Now I cannot get ahold of them, I have called numerous times and sent an email over a week ago - silence. The number you call is an answering service, they are not actually connected to the company. The website shows the item is in stock so I am not sure why it has not been shipped out.

I would avoid buying from this company since they are so difficult to get ahold of.

My buying expreince went fine. Seemd like the payment was bit outdated or to focused on busniess not private.

Since i have had a issue with my chair where the cylinder is touching and scratching the ground. Multiple inquiries till this day have gone unconfirmed and with no response. The only Phone line they have is sales.

Overall it was okay, but i regret not buying something of this value at a store where they care about there customers and not the one off cashflow

Edit: 17.11.22 managing to finally get in touch with support. After some troubles of the wrong parts being send i finally managed to repair it myself with the supplied parts. Shipping and parts where free of charge which was big +

Ordered a fully loaded Herman Miller Aeron on a Monday and got it delivered at my door in Stockholm on Friday morning, just wow on the delivery speed!

But I also payed much less than I would in a swedish store for the same model, so I would definitely recommend DesignCabinet for those looking to buy a Miller chair.

The chair came almost fully assembled with a carboard box and with a egg packet style under the box for extra protection.

Avoid if you can... Well, I got the chair. A 1300 euro chair! I lived in Berlin so it was easy... Then I needed to move to Spain... They did not send a box with the chair, okay that's fine. I ask if they can ship the chair for me to Spain. I get a response saying yes of course... then a couple days later, after I had already moved I get a response saying "nevermind, its not possible". I ask if they can at least send me the box for the chair so my girlfriend can send it through UPS at an enormous cost (additional ~220 euros). They replied saying "No, we can't give you the box, but we will give you a refund of 20 euros... HAH... Thanks... The box alone will cost more than that. For a 1300 euro chair, I expect some customer service... or at least for them to be able to give me what I have already payed for...

Excellent service, swift delivery within a week of Herman Miller work chair to Ireland. This was a complicated procedure with other sellers due to Brexit (customs levy) or uneven distribution within Europe. With DesignCabinet it was all wholly unproblematic, and the chair was delivered to my door assembled and ready to go. I'm delighted, and so is my back. Danke, Berlin!

Aeron Miller chair neu mit 12 Jahren Garantie bei designcabinet in Berlin gekauft. Nach 3 Jahren müsste ich den Stuhl zur Garantie einschicken. Als der Stuhl zurück kam war ich sehr unzufrieden. Er knarzte die Sitzfläche wackelt und die Öldruckfeder hat sich verabschiedet. Nun ist auch noch mein ganzer Teppich versaut. Nach mehreren Telefonaten hat sich niemand gemeldet. Es ruft einfach niemand Zurück. Das große Garantie versprechen von Miller wird bei designcabinet nicht gelebt. Ich bin verwundert über so eine Handhabung eines Garantie Falles.👎👎👎👎👎👎nie wieder.

Købsprocessen var ganske fin, men efterfølgende er kundeservice helt umulig at komme i kontakt med. Jeg købte en refurbished Aeron, der mere var i brugt stand end refurbished. Jeg har været nødt til at gå stolen igennem selv for at rense gamle pletter af(!), smøre skruerne og justere beslagene, så stolen holdt op med at knirke. Jeg prøvede at komme i kontakt med deres kundeservice af mange omgange, men intet svar.

Product review.
Bought Steelcase Leap v2 Hard Floor casters and they only features silent gliding. However I bought Soft Casters for hard floor to remove movement while sitting and they don't do anything at all. At all, I mean by saying this, they are not working.

The only reason i bought these for 30EUR because i hesitated to pay 110EUR for original manufacturer product.

Initially I planned to buy a refurbished one, but the sales rep made an offer I couldn't refuse. So I'm a proud owner of brand new Sayl. It's comfortable, it looks amazing!
The chair was shipped right after the payment was made. In 3-4 days it was in Estonia. Mind you, there are no hidden fees. You pay for your purchase and shipping and that's it. Shopping on DesignCabinet is such a breeze!

My refurbished Mirra chair arrived in perfect condition. International delivery worked as a clock, and the staff was super helpful. Highly recommended!
