Delfont Mackintosh Theatres Arvostelua 

I am appalled that a theatre company of the stature of Delfont Mackintosh, should have such APPALLING after-care & total lack of customer service. I was given a theatre voucher for Xmas, which I wanted to use to purchase tickets to see Hamilton, at one of DM theatres. Alas, the company will not allow vouchers to be used to purchase tickets online - which is their recommended method of transaction. I therefore had no alternative, but to purchase said tickets by phone. Which, of course (!!!) was a premium-rate number. I was ‘on hold’ for an hour before speaking to a (very apologetic) operator & thus purchased the tickets. Imagine my consternation when a few weeks later, on receiving an enormous phone bill, of which the call the DM was itemised at £47.60!!!!! And, naturally, you have no way of contacting the company to complain in any way - other than another phone call & another exorbitant bill! There is no email address on the website, just a link ‘get in touch’ - which is utterly useless & does not let you voice the complaint in any way. It is totally outrageous, that the company does not accept theatre vouchers for online sales. Thousands of people will now have such vouchers, that were issued to them - by the company - when performances were cancelled during the last 18 months. It is equally outrageous & totally immoral, that to purchase any ticket by this method, the only phone line is an exorbitantly-high premium rate number. Shame on you, Delfont Mackintosh

They refused to give me a refund or credit when I was self isolating and couldn't attend a show. They said it was because it was less than 24 hours before, but I checked their terms and at the time I bought the ticket, they said covid related was exempt from this rule. Ignored my emails when I tried to follow up.

I bought and was charged for tickets. It has been 2 days, and I still have received no confirmation e-mail and no tickets attached to an e-mail. I have sent messages explaining my problem and have only received a reply that they’ll get back to me in 5 days (the performance is in less than 5 days), and when you call the theater, it says they are not accepting phone calls. I bought tickets directly from the theater’s website, but I’m really starting to think I’ve been scammed.

Booked 4 tickets for me and my hubby and 2 granddaughters.I booked accessible as I am Ambulant disabled.WOW was treat like royalty.Made sure we got to our seats by toilets.Came 3 times during what was a magnificent show Mama Mia.Can not fault this theatre the show and some excellent staff.THANK YOU ALL./

After booking & paying for tickets on line and there not being a confirmation email by the next morning, to say I was stressed was an understatement!
I contacted the booking department following the threads on the Delfont Mackintosh website, I submitted my enquiry which was answered within an hour by a member of the sales team (Sally)
Who immediately identified the problem, that being an error between PayPal and Booking system.
Sally assured me our seats were in fact successfully reserved, & she’d sort it personally. Within an hour, and true to her word my tickets to see Hamilton arrived via email.
Great service, Great customer care!!!
Would strongly advise booking via Delfont Mackintosh.

I spoke to James on the phone today about an existing order, he was so helpful and very polite over the phone and managed to get my booking sorted with no hassle at all - even when I had to keep switching between conversations! Well done James and the DMT team!

Another review for these guys. With all the craziness of the recent global situation I needed to change a booking. Samuel Sherlock took my call and he was absolutely brilliant and I cannot thank him enough. In such stressful times he was good humoured, friendly and so so helpful. We quite rightly put the world to rights on the call and it was just good customer service all round.

Excellent customer service from Delfont Mackintosh Theatres in these unprecedented COVID 19 times! Their no quibble refund/reschedule theatre ticket process has worked perfectly and one that other companies could learn from! I for one will be rebooking with them once this is all over and thank the customer service team for making my refund so painless.

Excellent service from the call centre - we had to cancel at the last minute due to an injury and they moved the tickets to a new day for a nominal charge.

After travelling 250 miles the show was cancelled without warning. A simple email could have saved a lot of people a lot of money.

To be given a printed letter at the door at the time of opening suggests that there was time to write and print letters. The time could have been better spent communicating with your customers.

The expense of travel and accommodation means that this trip is too expensive to repeat and the letter stated that they would not cover costs.

So I no choice but to leave a 1 star review and advice people to choose somewhere that will treat you as a person and not a number.

Customer service is everything and I will spend the rest of my now “free day” writing reviews so that other people are not scammed.

This is the best theatre group ever. I am a prolific theatre-goer so believe I know whereof I speak. They have truly excellent staff throughout their theatres, so polite and welcoming, first class customer service on the phone, (they couldn’t be more helpful when I needed a ticket replacement for an upcoming show I had a ticket for, after my purse had been stolen), very clean and well run theatre buildings/bar and restroom facilities, and most importantly of all they put on some of the best plays in London. The same cannot be said of their rival theatre groups which I have also frequented... If only all theatres were as top notch as Delfont Mackintosh. Well done to your teams and management, and thank you from a loyal customer.

I've been with DMT since April 2018 when booking to see Aidan Turner in The Lieutenant of Inishmore (£30 Stalls), then I won both an Aladdin lottery ticket £20 (Dress Circle) then Book of Mormon £20 (Stalls) in 2019.

So it's worth getting their emails to see what's on and the prices are very reasonable, so worth getting priority / early bookings for something I really wanted to see .

I did appreciate the lottery tickets as I'm flexible with dates so that worked well for me.

Desperately need to sort out their website and phones.
I have used Delfont a lot for myself and clients of mine to purchase tickets - whilst the theatres are great Delfont Mackintosh, both the box office online and those over the phone are next to useless, especially during busy periods. It takes a long time to get through to anyone over the phone and even when you do the staff have not been well trained and i have been given previously incorrect information about changing names on the tickets, everyone i spoke to seemed to all have different ideas of what the rules were. Their website will randomly log you out during purchasing, their reset password emails take to 'page not found' - so pretty frustrating, but particularly when you have been waiting for 1.5 hours for tickets, you have them in your basket and they log you out. Across the West End box offices aren't great (outside of the West End they are a lot better), and you have no choice but to use Delfont without going down to the theatres in person so there isn't much one can do, but hopefully they will see this review and sort out both training for phone staff and figure out why their website frequently doesn't work.

Epic prices! I managed to theatre tickets for 17.50. Really pleased! I was worried reading the previous review but I've got the email confirmation so I am assuming all is good. I am going next month so will update review if there are any issues.

Update: got my tickets in the post within the week!

I went to book last minute tickets on the delfont mackintosh theatres site and I had found tickets for the price of £17.25 and when I went to book the tickets they had changed the price up to £32.25 so called them and all they told me was it was a issue on my end with cookies on my computer, and they could not change the price back to what they had originally stated the price was would not recommend this site to book on at all very disappointing as I go to the theatre very often!! Very disappointing
