Just a heads up for people looking for guitar tuner please be aware that the D'Addario sound hole turners do not last Purchased 2 of them around the same time as i have several guitars (acoustic) both failed within a week of each other & only lasted just under 5 years, they were well treated & never had flat batteries left in them. Thanks for reply but have contacted your people & they want the invoice copy which I explained that i only had the sales order copy & the original supply cant or will not supply me an invoice copy so your people a D addario will not do anything without the invoice. not

Excellent customer service
Excellent customer service! In the guitar string set that I ordered from Amazon, the "D" string was plain solid, when it should have been wound. When I brought this to the attention of D'Addario customer service, they immediately sent me a replcement for the odd string, plus a complete new string set as well.

I recently bought D'Addario's humidity…
I recently bought D'Addario's humidity packs for guitars. This idea seemed far easier than D'Addario's sponge-in-a-tub humidifiers requiring frequent looks and filling with distilled water (continue loving my D'Addario humidity/temp monitors). After purchasing, I caught some negative reviews about my discovery while keeping in mind the pictures users shared of damages allegedly caused by the humidifying packs. I wrote D'Addario about my concerns, the pictures, and the reviews. The next day, I received a reply from D'Addario, saying, a specialist would be responding very soon to your email, "Thank you". That evening, I got the email. The answers to my concerns were intelligently addressed; the pictures were dismissed due to neglect. The packets last four months on average and should be checked regularly. The new black 'socks' that contain the humidifiers are greatly improved over their predecessor. I am sharing the highlights of the reply, the explanation supported every detail and aspect of D'Addario's "Must-have" guitar humidifying packs - Wow! Now, any company that responds so promptly to an email, any company that so thoroughly brings clarity and complete confidence to one person, and one review as a result, has my business for life!

Flatwound bass strings for a Gretch g5440
Have a gretch g5440 bass guitar and wanted a set of flatwound strings for it. It's a 34" scale but distance from tail piece to bridge is quite long and normal long scale strings are too short. Contacted Gretch and D'Addario for advice. Gretch have still not replied but D'Addario replied within 24 hours and tried to help. Ended up buying a set of D'Addario extra long light gauge flatwound which fitted perfectly, they also sound great. Recommend D'Addario for service and quality.

D'Addario lacks reasonable judgement
What I thought was mold damage ended up being damage from a leaky Humidipak. D'Addario sent me $500 without me even asking. I knew something wasn't right. I used the "gift" to fund the repair. My luthier disproved my layman's theory of "mold" and identified it as damage from a Humidipak. You would think D'Addario would have asked for a professional opinion from a qualified luthier BEFORE sending me money. Now, because I misdiagnosed what I thought was mold, what they thought was mold.....what StewMac thought was mold.....the whole thing has been turned around and now I am to blame for the misdiagnosis of damage done to my Martin 000-18WG. You want you "gift" returned? Just give me a payee name and I will send it back. I don't want your money, I want your accountability for damaging my guitar....and a beautiful piece of Americana my Martin 000-18 WG (Woody Guthrie Prototype 2 of 2). Something is wrong with that.....Bottom line: they ruined my beautiful guitar. Their product failed me....and, they failed me, D'Addario Customer Service is useless. I am no longer a fan of D'Addario. Thank you D'Addario for your complete lack of commitment and disrespect to your "loyal customers". Disgrazia...Vergogna...You should be ashamed of yourself.
Insulted and Pissed
Online order in excess of $500. Recipient in CO, but I am in NC, as is my credit card address. Receive e-mail advising that order is on hold because recipient address and billing address are different. And then, I'm asked to verify who, by name, the recipient is. First off, if the matter had been addressed as attempting to verify that the order wasn't fraudulent, I could understand. But it wasn't. Second, even if I'd sent the strings to my own house, the shipping and billing addresses would still be different - I use a P.O. Box for credit cards. But, when I'm asked to identify the recipient "...verify who XX is..." well, now I'm both pissed and insulted. I don't need to explain anything, and who the recipient is is none of D'Addaro's business. And then, if the order is on hold, why was my credit card charged 3 days prior? So much for being on "hold." If I've already been charged, then the order should have already been shipped. I contacted D'Addario (no one answers e-mails or the phone) and advised that the order is to be immediately canceled (since it's on "hold" then it hasn't been shipped). I've advised the credit card company as well. Will never do business with this company again, and will instead stick with Sweetwater, who know what customer service is, they are responsive, and they're an absolute pleasure to work with.

Excellent service
I opened a set of half rounds and found to my dismay that one, the G, was corroded in a few places. I contacted D'Addario in the UK and they provided a first class response, sending me a replacement string and a little compensatory item as well.
The strings are superb, and the half-round aspect eliminates the squeaks of ordinary strings without losing the tone. I'm using them on small-body acoustic guitars, which emphasise squeaks quite a lot, and these strings solve the problem. Thanks, D'Addario!

The 70 guage wound string on my Pedal Steel Guitar snapped as I was putting it on .
Without any hesitation George has offered to send me a replacement at no charge.
This is exactly why I've always used D'Addario products.

D'Addario has the best customer service!!
George did a phenomenal job assisting me. I tend to ignore these requests but this one I am thrilled to respond to, in fact with the level of service George provided me I feel obligated. I will start out by saying due to Georges attention to my questions and how he addressed them I can say I am a D'Addario customer for life! I was fortunate to get George to respond to my initial request for answers. He treated me with the utmost of respect and concern for my problem. I was imagining being told it was probably my fault. The exact opposite happened so I was thrilled to be taken seriously. I do not know George personally but can tell he is a very honorable and ethical person. Any business would be fortunate to have him front facing customer concerns. Normally I am a very inert and withdrawn person but there was something about him that told me I could open up a little. I did let him know a little bit more about me because I sensed it was safe for me to do so. That in and of itself should speak volumes about Georges character. The way George handled my issue should be the benchmark for others to follow. He is simply the best! Please pass on my very high praise and I will also say D'Addario is quite fortunate to have someone of his character and very high ethical standard working for them.
