Curtis Brown Creative Arvostelua

Excellent learning platform to delve deep into creating and, importantly, understanding a character. I can, as a result, imagine a character viewed from different angles while building a perspective on who and what the character is about. This is what I was hoping for. Unfortunately, despite my best planning, due to unexpected work project commitments, I was not able to participate more in the online forums.

Neither the videos nor the tasks were overwhelming. And the final assignment did an excellent job of compressing what we had learned. I am very optimistic about finding a literary agent who is a good fit for me after taking this course. And, relative to the other CBC courses, one gets a lot for their money.

I loved the opportunity of being part of New Writers Day - such an inspiring event!

I did the Writing Short Stories course as well as the 30-day Bootcamp. Both courses are fine for beginners so I would only recommend those courses if you want to start with the basics. The course itself is pre-recorded and canned.

The platform they use for interacting with other students is not very good, although it works and it's always nice to exchange opinions and evaluations among peers as the course goes through.

I loved the flexibility of the course, being able to choose between using the prompts provided or applying the advice to my own projects made it feel adaptable and supportive. Sharing work with other students in the course was a great experience, especially for me, as I’ve never felt confident sharing my writing before.

I thoroughly enjoyed the course. It’s helped me move past my fear of writing and that nagging feeling of not being good enough, allowing me to just focus on getting words down. I’d highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to grow their confidence and creativity.

Writing Your Synopsis Masterclass by Curtis Brown Creative -- don't hesitate to take this class. It's two hours of quality, practical, clear, and useful knowledge and ideas. I wrote a great synopsis the very next day and felt like I knew just what to do!

I loved this course! It was insightful, informative and fun too. An amazing opportunity to bond with other writers and gain constructive criticism.

The course was full of useful prompts and writing tasks. The learning guidelines were easy to follow and informative. I really enjoyed the course.

It was a very inspiring experience that will definitely make a lot of difference to my craft. Christie Watson was an amazing tutor that taught us so many important lessons. I really recommend it!

The course delivered in all respects: great teacher; well chosen group of writers who are keen to improve and help others to do so; well structured course with input on writing, pitch letter and synopsis; clear guidelines and helpful administrators.

The course is thorough and professional. They cover a wide range of topics and are interactive as well

CB's lessons are clear, concise and easy to follow. Your approach is professional, practical and encourages rich interaction with other students. The small class size facilitated this perfectly. Overall, the course enhanced my productivity and motivation. I was stuck writing in circles, and this course put me on a forward-moving track. I'll plan to take more classes in future.

A massively helpful course. I had to swallow my pride and accept that my writing wasn't that of the next Jane Austen but the notes and tools were really helpful and eminently practical.

Once I figured out the platform the technical side was smooth as butter. CBC offer plenty of tech support if anything does go wrong. The class content was enjoyable and inspiring. The exercises were of great value to me, as I ended up writing short stories I didn't know I had in me. I really enjoyed 'spending time' with the author, Kate Mosse. It felt very personal even if it was pre-recorded videos. And finally, the pricing is fair. Some courses are a little steep, but I don't know if they offer payment plans as I haven't looked into them. And they offer an excellent returner discount. All in all, I would definitely recommend their courses.

This course is designed for easy learning using bite-sized lessons and tasks. The use of course students to be involved in providing their thoughts and advice added to a very comprehensive and stimulating course. To me, without doubt, it was excellent value for money and I highly recommend it to any would be or even relatively experienced author.

I studied the Write to the End of Your Novel course. I was really impressed with how knowledgable the tutors were - Anna and Tracy were mine - and I loved the Forum aspect. I think it’s important to get feedback on your work from other writers, as well as being able to give feedback. Would recommend this course to anyone who’s serious about writing and finishing a novel.

The company has an international reputation. Its course met that standard.

The course helped me to see where I had gone wrong and, more importantly, how to improve my writing. Feedback from the tutor and the other participants was very useful.

Absolutely amazing course. It has literally changed my life. Book it! Now!

Can't recommend CBC course too highly. Our tutor's guidance was invaluable, and the weekly tasks were incredibly useful - often in unexpected ways (one in particular enabled me to finally find the true voice of my protagonist). The positive but constructive feedback from fellow participants was both enlightening and motivating. I feel privileged to have worked with such writers and I know we'll be staying in touch.
