Currys - Hanworth Arvostelua 

Having to wait before help yet there was a lady who was stood by the entrance pretending to be busy. What annoyed me most is that another staff member who was stood by her side asked her why I was waiting, she told him I was waiting to be attended to which the male staff member asked me to come with him.

I have been a loyal Currys customer for over 20 years, but after my recent experience, I will never purchase anything from this company again.

I purchased a Hisense American-style fridge freezer in September 2025, alongside a £150 five-year Care & Repair agreement. Within the first year, the ice dispenser developed faults that required multiple engineer visits in May, July and September 2026. Despite attempts to repair the appliance, the fault remained unresolved.

Eventually, Hisense authorised the return of the appliance, and Currys agreed to provide a refund. You would think that would be the end of the matter. Unfortunately, it was only the beginning of another catalogue of failures.

I have spent countless hours making telephone calls, being transferred between departments, experiencing disconnected calls and visiting the Hanworth store in person. On one occasion, I spent approximately two hrs 30 mins in the store trying to obtain assistance.

More recently, Currys arranged to collect the faulty appliance on 17 October between 9am and 11am. The collection driver did not arrive until after 3pm, by which time I was no longer available. A further collection was agreed for the following day, only for me to discover, after calling the driver myself, that he had been allocated another job and would not be attending.

I returned to the Hanworth store yet again and was promised a telephone call to rearrange collection. Unsurprisingly, nobody called.

Meanwhile, I am still waiting for my appliance refund, and Currys has failed to provide a satisfactory response to my request for reimbursement of the full £150 Care & Repair agreement, which staff repeatedly struggled to locate on their own systems despite my proof of purchase.

I have also submitted a formal complaint (reference 278716), requested escalation to the Second Level Complaints Team and subsequently chased that escalation. I have received no meaningful response.

To make matters worse, my latest email to Currys' Customer Focus Team was rejected by an automated mail rule, informing me that the email address was a no-reply inbox. How is a customer supposed to maintain communication with a complaints team when replies to the existing correspondence are rejected?

The complete lack of ownership, communication, accountability and basic customer care has been astonishing.

I am now left with a faulty appliance that Currys has agreed to take back, an outstanding refund and months of unnecessary inconvenience, all through no fault of my own.

I appreciate that individual staff members may be working within difficult systems, but the overall customer experience at Currys Hanworth has been completely unacceptable.

A company of Currys' size should be capable of arranging a collection, honouring an agreed refund and responding to a formal complaint without requiring a customer to chase repeatedly for months.

After more than 20 years as a customer, I am thoroughly disappointed and have completely lost confidence in Currys.

I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing an expensive appliance from Currys to think carefully about the after-sales service they may receive if something goes wrong.

Was served by a very helpful assistant called Shikha,
she answered all my questions and nothing was too much trouble.

Bought a washing machine a week ago, staff got attitude and they don't know anything we were asking about the product. And atlast we select a washing machine and the staff did all the order process and was suppose to deliver on 5th october but we didn't recieve any update so i call them and was told delivery date has not even selected. This is very careless from the staff and i have paid £20/£25 for my delivery. I am not happy with currys customer service and there attitude, they need more training .

They could not solve my problem i was left alone for at least45 mins when i explaind my problem was try wicks for the bolts i needed for myTv bracket

Had to wait about 15 minutes for assistance from a Customer services assistant. Was informed that someone would be over shortly on two separate occasions without anyone turning up. Once I had someone the process was pretty quick, only delayed by the pushy aftersales extended warrantee agreement which was delivered in a required manner rather than optional. This was declined.
Product was excellent.

Great service by staff.
