Bought a Tefal steam generator on 4th…
Bought a Tefal steam generator on 4th July 2026 and also purchased the insurance cover for £55. The iron was £399.99. When I bought the insurance cover, I was told that it was INSTANT replacement within 3 years.
I had the iron for 5 weeks when it failed. I returned it to the Derby Meteor Centre store and was told by the assistant, Joanne, that it would be sent away for repair 😡 I queried this but she was adamant about it. Her customer service skills were nil, no eye contact and simply would not listen to what I was saying. I had to leave the iron there and was told they had to return it within 7 days or it would be replaced. I went back to the store 9 days later and still no iron! A more helpful assistant said he would call me when my replacement arrived. That is now 9 FURTHER days and no phone call received. Absolutely shocking service from start to finish. Firstly, I was miss- sold the insurance and now have been without my very expensive iron for over 2 weeks. Secondly, they really need to send some of their assistants to customer service school! I bought this iron on Curry’s flexi pay finance.
