I purchased a 7-gram container of Cap Junky flower packaged by Curaleaf from an independent dispensary in Pennsylvania. When I got home, the contents appeared light, so I weighed the product and found it to be approximately 0.5 to 0.6 grams short of the labeled weight.
I contacted Curaleaf customer service by email and explained the situation. They asked where the product was purchased, and after learning it came from an independent dispensary rather than a Curaleaf-owned location, I was told there was nothing they could do and that I would need to contact the dispensary.
The problem is that dispensaries generally do not accept returns of opened cannabis products, which left me with no practical way to resolve the issue. I wasn't looking for anything unreasonable—just some assistance or investigation into a product that appeared to be underweight.
My disappointment is not with the weight discrepancy itself. Mistakes can happen. My disappointment is that Curaleaf showed no interest in standing behind its own product once they learned it was purchased from a non-Curaleaf dispensary. Rather than investigating the issue or offering any form of resolution, they simply directed me elsewhere, knowing there was little chance of the matter being resolved. As a customer, that is not the level of accountability I expected from a company selling and branding its own products.
