Ich halte Corel für ein Relikt aus den 90ern dass den Anschluss verpasst hat.
Trotzdem wollte ich das Programm benutzen weil ein aktueller Kunde von mir noch Dateien in Corel Draw hat die ich manchmal überarbeiten soll.
Ich habe also über humble bundle die Creative Suite 2020 erworben. Es sollte sich um eine 6-monatige Lizenz handeln.
Die Lizenz lief allerdings schon vor den 6 Monaten ab.
Der Support per Chat war nicht hilfreich.
Man sagte mir die Lizenz sei abgelaufen. Ich habe dem Support-Mitarbeiter erklärt dass ich mich noch innerhalb der 6 Monate befinde. Keine Reaktion. Entweder handelte es sich um einen Chatbot oder es gab als Reaktion keine passenden Textbausteine.
Ich habe Screenshots geschickt um die Situation zu schildern aber man konnte nicht helfen. Ergebnis: Man würde das nochmal intern klären. Dann kam eine Mail, dass man noch immer auf Infos von meiner Seite warten würde?? Zwei Tage später wurde das Support-Ticket ohne Ergebnis geschlossen.
Jerky Video Playback Resolved
I have Corel Video Studio Ultimate 18 and have been trying to edit some high qaulity 4K 60fps video. I was able to edit it okay but when previewing it the playback was jerky. I spoke to Corel support through online chat and despite trying some resolutions it was still jerky. They raised a support ticket and kept me informed in a timely and efficient manner. In the end after going through several steps they resolved the issue and I have to say I felt the support I got was excellent.
Want to me to buy the later version to resolve the problem they could not solve for over 10 years.
My original message "I have used different versions Studio, on different windows OS, on different computers for over 10 years and never had one single version that is Stable. NOT ONE SINGLE VERSION. I am surprised that you are not able to resolve stability issues on Windows. I currently have Studio 21 Plus on Windows 10. Very frequently Rendering stops working and Studio has to be restarted. However, quite frequently, it will not restart unless the computer is rebooted. It bas become extremely difficult to work with. Windows 10 pro, I7-9700 CPU, 8GB. I have tried deactivating anti virus."
They ask me to delete the APP data folders and reinstall. Then I lost all my settings (obvious was going to happen but they didnt tell me that). Next they tell me to send WINAUDIT and MSINFO. Then they tell my the version is not supported pay and upgrade. I told them the version originally and they asked for the license key also. After I complained, they said, create a new user id and switch off firewall. Hell, no, I will not run without firewall. It is there for a purpose.

Ils m'ont envoyé une pub agressive pour WinZip. J'ai voulu refuser. Impossible de me débarrasser d'une grosse fenêtre en grisé en plein milieu de mon écran. Et de leur icone. Quand on les contacte, ils vous conseillent de charger le produit! Mais même si je le voulais, je ne le pourrais pas. Le lien avec leur site est bloqué! Même en passant par Windows 10, WinZip est inéffaçable.
Corel Painter 2020 redundant in 2020
Corel Painter 2020 did not even work ‘til the end of 2020 ( Mac - I can’t comment on Windows version).
Complete failure of software.
No refund, no upgrade, no help from customer-services.
I was told several times “we’re working on a fix” then eventually they just said - “You need to buy Painter 2021”.
They refused to guarantee that Painter 2021 would work ‘til the end of 2021. Just guaranteed for 30 days.
No thanks. After 12 years, I’m saying goodbye to Corel forever. I’d advise everyone to do the same.
But if you want to pay £360 for a product that may be obsolete in October (or earlier) - with no come-back. Then go ahead.
They will not listen to any argument. Just quote “30 days”.
I will be reporting Corel to Trading Standards. I’m not sure it will do any good. Who knows.
I’ll get the easel out. It’s so much more relaxing.
Very, very poor technical support
What has happened in the last few days:
1) Unable to upload documents that could help fix some problems while in chat sessions -- reported the problem but no response that addressed this issue
2) I was always 1st in queue (for many chat sessions with technical support) but always response was "I will need to connect you to someone else (another group)".
3) Usually after explaining in detail the problem in my initial message the first responder never read what I wrote -- even when I referred them to it. Instead I usually needed to "copy-and-paste" it again.
4) Nearly always I was told a ticket would be made for my problem and I would be contacted by some else who would help me. A ticket (via email) was indeed created but it only acknowledged the creation of a ticket -- there was no reference to my problem in it.
5) Often I was even promised "high priority" but I saw no improvement in help.
6) When a time was setup for a "remote session" to fix one of my problems, I was ready on our preset time, but the text in the remote client window was unreadable and thus no connection was made. I sent two follow up emails about this suggesting another remote session client but this never happened.
7) Today I called Corel UK direct and spent over 30 minutes on the phone explaining the problem in detail. The person handling my call said he would "get some else to contact me" via telephone in approximately 30 minutes. After over 2 hours, I give up.
I suggest that the technical support staff be better trained and monitored more closely if Corel really wishes to provide help/support to their customers via chat and telephone.
Incidentally the telephone number given for direct support to my problem (+44 1793 20 3800 ) was an invalid number!
No support or refund
Corel company has gone done with customer support and softwares. Absolutely no working support and refund if software is not working. Do not buy any products from Corel anymore. I will give my case to Consumer Authority to solve because Corel does not give any liability to softwares. I have used Corel products over 25 years so it does not matter if you are old or new customer - the Corel Company is not trusted anymore.
Poor quality
Poor quality, sluggish programs. Take forever to open on high end computers. Crashes, buggy, slow, unintuitive, very expensive. Painter is a joke, Aftershot is easily bested by open source and free programs like darktable or rawtherapee. ADVERTS omg the adverts. Its one thing prompting to upgrade but ads INSIDE the program all the time?? Once a reliable alternative to adobe. Buy Affinity Photo (Photo) Affinity Designer (Vector), Affinity Publisher (DTP). Get darktable or rawtherapee as a lighroom replacement and Davinci Resolve as your editor.
Spam popups
Do yourself a favor, and dont buy a Corel product.
You will NEVER get rid of all their spam and popup commercials.

Ende 2016 kaufte ich mir eine Version der Corel Grapics Suite X7. Die Seriennummer ist aktiviert und in meinem Corelaccount hinterlegt. Nach der Neuinstallation auf Grund neuer Hardware kommt nun die böse Überraschung: "Die Seriennummer die Sie zu aktivieren versuchen, wurde bereits aktiviert." Somit kann ich die bereits bezahlte Software nun lediglich für einen 30-tägigen Testzeitraum nutzen. Danach ist Ende. Die erste Antwort vom Support (diesen Namen haben die wirklich nicht verdient) war dann: " Ihre Software wird nicht mehr supportet und sie ist zudem nicht zu Ihrem Betriebssystem (Windows 10) kompatibel. Kaufen Sie doch einfach die neueste Corel Graphics Suite. " Das ist die größte Frechheit überhaupt ! Man hat ein Produkt bezahlt, dann meint Corlel es ist wohl an der Zeit wieder ein wenig Umsatz zu machen und sorgt dafür, dass die bezahlte Software nicht mehr nutzbar ist. Dann wird einem so ein Mist erzählt wie, dass das Betriebssystem nicht kompatibel ist, was bereits durch die Verrifizierung von Corel selbst wiederlegt ist ... und ja egal welche Einwände man hat, der Neukauf der aktuellsten Software ist DIE Lösung für alle Probleme ... Aus meiner Sicht handelt es sich dabei einfach nur um billigen Betrug ! Wenn man sich die Preise dieses Unternehmens mal vor Augen hält ist dies der wohl teuereste und schlechteste Support überhaupt! Ich kann jedem nur empfehlen Corel zu meiden !!! Kein Wunder, weshalb bei ALIEXPRESS bereits für 1,95€ die gecrackte Vollversion erwerbar ist. Support hat man ohnehin keinen wirklichen ... die Leute dort sind etwa so hohl wie eine ausgetrocknete Kokusnuss... es wird überhaupt nicht auf Fakten eingegangen ... man arbeitet stupide einen Katalog von Einwandbehandlungen ab... auch wenn die Antworten überhaupt nicht den Ihnalt des Problems aufgreiffen ... Ich würde -5 Sterne geben wenn das möglich wäre ... Selbst dafür, dass man gewerblich vertriebene Raubkopien meldet, erhält man kein Dankeschön ... die Leute dort sind sogar zu faul um nicht zu sagen zu dumm, die Meldung intern an die zuständige Abteilung weiter zu leiten ! Das soll man dann doch bitte selbst machen ... Aber sei es wie es sei ... ich kaufe bei dem Verein nichts mehr ein ... und ich kann allen nur dringend davor abraten Geld zu investieren, denn es zahlt sich einfach nicht aus ... es ist nicht nachhaltig und wenn es drauf ankommt wird man allein gelassen ... dann gibt es einfach keinen Support mehr ... von daher besser die Finger weg !

Having used CorelDRAW and its associated applications since it was first introduced, I've got used to its flakey, clunky, carthorse nature but persevere because when it works it can produce stunningly good output.
However, Corel's user support is what you get from the rear of a carthorse. Now, the bunch of crimps under their new ex-Disney muppet Christa Quarles have found a new way to screw users, although it was really her predecessor Patrick Nichols who developed this.
Corel has long since passed from being a creative bunch of Canucks to a back-pocket chip in the vast arsenal of one of the nastiest venture capital suits in the business - KKR.
I have, over the years, bought at full price each successive CorelDRAW version, and still have my master program CDs. Now, worthless.
Thanks to these pirates, nearly three decades of work has become unusable, because Corel designed and download a virus which blocks all pre-2019 files from being opened.
Users are forced to buy a new version to unlock their early stuff. Either by monthly payments of around £30
or a single one of nearly £500 UK for an 'upgrade'.
This equates to blackmail. And what's more, the latest application is even more flakey than ever - difficult to open, won't close, requiring a reboot, and various other glitches.
Hope for graphics pros is at hand however, from a British company - Serif. Their trio of image and design apps achieves much of what Corel's crap does - at a tenth the price and with excellent stability on a Win10 64k platform.
So, Christa Quarles, go find a carthorse.
NO stars
I had to give it one star to get to this page. I would give them none if possible. The customer help service is non-existent. when someone did finally email me back they gave me an answer that had nothing to do with my question of problem, and judging from the text I'd say it was a robot replying. I emailed back that this didn't answer my question and they have never responded.
Avoid like the plague!
Used to be a fantastic company. I have used PSP for many years, finding it a more cost effective option that photoshop for the tasks I wanted to complete. However I have recently experienced their customer service. Well, when I say customer service I mean that I was sent to a "hot fix" link which was useless. Then I have basically been told that GOOGLE (as written by the customer service adviser in caps) broke it and they can't fix it so they would suggest I just buy the new version as this doesnt have the issue?! This was followed by random repeated automated emails at all times of day and night that neither addressed my complaint nor fixed it. The software is brilliant, when it works but if you have an issue its game over and money down the pan. Ill be looking at photoshop this time!

Странно читать здесь негативные отзывы о CorelDRAW. Программу надо знать и любить, и относиться с уважением к труду программистов, придумавших этот замечательный продукт. Когда-то я покупал учительскую версию 12 Корела Эсеншиал. Я преподавал этот пакет студентам рекламного вуза. С тех пор они убеждены, что прямые конкуренты в лучшем случае могут делать около 30% от того богатого набора инструментов, что предлагает Корел. Всё интуитивно понятно, логично, технологично. В России многие типографии и рекламные фирмы пользуются этим богатым инструментом. Десятки фильтров позволяют "втянуть" почти любые векторные файлы и редактировать их, такое разнообразие недоступно конкурентам.
Для меня актуален лозунг: Всё, что можно нарисовать, можно нарисовать в Кореле!
Support? What is that?
As a new customer of Paintshop and have knowned Paintshop from way back but have been using Photoshop until it got subscription only so the new Ultimate version 2021 was the logical choice to buy.
Software feels just like PS and i felt right at home immediately, now soon after finding a weird bug
that makes text disappear if zoomed in or out and contacting their support they send a "hot fix" from a personal account and say that the problem will not be fixed if i don't install this "hot fix".
When i mention i will not do this by the nature of "hot fixes" and ask if they will patch the main. exe file, "support" keep sending a repeated message she could help me install the "hot fix" and recommend different time spans.. This person is a moron and have such an inflated ego and bad eyesight i start to question if reading and understanding English was skipped in school..
I would fire this person in a heartbeat.. Software is still working and i'm really happy that i got a good discount on a boxed version.. Hope i will never have to contact their support again until they get a new one.
I PERSEVERED - AND STILL FAILED,
I persevered. Spent from within 48 hours of receiving their Easy VHS to DVD transfer programme until six weeks later trying to somehow get past their system into their Return page to arrange a return. Impossible. I was engaged by various different responders with other than English sounding names, some of them reappearing to answer me as I progressed through many, many emails in an attempt to obtain satisfaction.
I also sent two emails to the CEO, one to his home address which was promptly removed from his LinkedIn page.
The Irish section of Corel, where much of their stuff is sent from is staged like an impregnable fort. One is at their decision-making mercy, hence the so many exceedingly bad reviews.
If I could rate Corel less than 1 star…
If I could rate Corel less than 1 star I would. I have Pinnacle 24 and have continuing problems with my videos not rendering properly (audio lags video). A call to tech support led to me being told someone would call me "in a few minutes." No one did. Then I got email from support having me make changes. Suggested changes made things worse. I have a top of the line fast Samsung laptop (W10;i7; 16GB RAM; 110GB unused space). Tech support takes days to respond. I used to use Corel all the time. Products and service have really gone downhill. Do not use or buy Corel. I ended up using MovieMakerpro for my project and it worked perfectly.
Corel out to scam money with useless and expensive applications
I bought Particle Shop back in 2017 and with the recent MacOS update to 11, Particle Shop no longer works with the latest OS. My recent exchanges with their customer service was beyond words. All they said was my feedback has been forwarded to their relevant department and their engineers/technicians will take my suggestion into consideration. And IF there will be any updates/patches, it will be announced in their website. Basically it is unknown whether they will come out with an update/patch for Particle Shop to work with OS11 or not. I strongly discourage anyone to buy any products from Corel. If you choose to ignore my words, be prepared to face the consequences of facing issues of your application not working whenever there are updates to your OS.
Used to be enthusiastic, now very disappointed
In the past (almost more than 20 years) I had a lot of fun with CorelDraw and Corelgraphics, but since release X8 I have noticed that Corel is only interested in sales and not in service. Even though you have installed the software on your PC, all kinds of parts start to fail ("is no longer supported"). That includes all kinds of shading options, for example. It is a clear commercial choice to do this and entice yourself into purchasing a new expensive release. By the way, I don't need a new release at all, but nowadays I am constantly "invited" (read "almost forced") to buy a new release, both when starting Corel and when closing it. It shows the Anglo-Saxon mentality of this company. Just give me the Rhineland mentality. I am going to choose other drawing programs. But which one? :(
The Horror of dealing with Corel.
If you buy a corel product you will be tortured to death. The Roxio updates never work and when you call Tech Support you might as well stick your head in a vice because at least then you would accomplish something. I am understating just how disgustingly horrible this charade of a mockery of a company treats it's customers. Instead of wasting time on the phone trying to get their inferior horrid software to work you should go out and kick yourself in the crotch for a few hours. It will be less painful.
