Cooksongold Arvostelua 

My experience with Cooksongold has been excellent so far. My orders have been accurate and on time. I did however put an order in today. Got as far as putting in my credit card details and the site crashed. I'm hoping the orders havnt gone through as I did it more than once thinking I made a mistake. I'm a bit concerned as to the negative reviews from people who contact customer service. I will check when it's back online to see if payments have gone through. In the mean time I remain hopeful my good experience of this company doesnt turn bad.

I have been trying for four days to get on to Cooksons website but it will not load. Hoping. they will read this and say if their website is down or not. I want to put in an order, but need to look up the items before I do, so I can't do it over the phone.

First time ordering from Cookson Gold, just a small order, some silver beads and Swarovski crystals. I placed the order on 4th September and it was delivered on 5th September. Couldn't be happier and I will most certainly order from them again. Thanks.

I have been jewellery making and silversmithing for over eight years and in that time I have placed dozens of orders and spent thousands of pounds with Cooksongold.

Never once have I been let down or disappointed by them. In my experience they are a leading industry standard of trustworthiness, reliability with a very organised ordering system.

Cooksongold website is more than just a shop it’s more of a way of life, easy to browse, watching video reviews of the latest tools, using their conversion calculators to help with questions like... how much 1.5mm wire could I make from 20g of silver and lots of blogs and forums to enjoy.

The only issue I ever have is... it’s easy to get carried away and spend too much money however once you’ve registered with them you will be sent lots of special offers and possible discounts to use with your orders.

When using their customer services I’ve always found them friendly, very professional, understanding and accommodating to my needs and requirements.

In this day and age with all the scams, fakes and rip-offs on the Internet I don’t know where I would turn to without Cooksongold. When ordering £300 Worth of raw silver on the Internet i need somebody i feel i can trust.

Thanks to cooksongold for their high standards they provide giving me confidence and making it easy for me to explore the creative process of silversmithing.

I've been ordering from Cooksongold for a couple of years now and I've had nothing but excellent service. The deliveries are always quick (even in Covid times) and ordering online is a breeze (and usually cheaper than competitors/suppliers offering the same product). However, when I recieved a sub-standard product that I wanted to return, this opinion changed. I can understand that due to Covid-19, they will be understaffed and doing their best to keep on top of requests and orders, but I was left out of the loop for 4 weeks. I sent numerous emails that were recieved regarding how/when I could return the 'savers' rolling mill, but they fell on silent ears. Only when I said I'd be returning it myself after it sitting in my workshop for a month, did I get an email saying it would be picked up tomorrow. Now I'm no whizz with courier companies, but I do know that it literally takes 5 minutes to fill out a form and the courier will pick up and deliver the parcel the next day. It does not take 4 weeks. The palava doesn't end there though. I was then sent the wrong label for the box, which I pointed out, and was told 'that is the correct label.' It had 'do not print' over the barcode for crying out loud. Well guess what the courier said when he came to pick up the package? I can't take it without the correct label. Luckily (and what an angel he is), he still took it and printed the label himself at the end of his shift. The parcel was then sent back to me, through no one's fault, and I thought, here goes another month of this mill sitting in the corner of my workshop. This time, I wanted to send it back myself because I'm not waiting 2 months for a refund, but Cooksongold surprised me and replied immediately with a new pick up date. Did I get sent the correct label this time though? No. Again, I pointed this out and I even sent a picture of what the label looks like. But instead of being replied to, I was ignored. So, low and behold, the courier comes back and is visibily frustrated that the same thing has happened again. Why should he have to go out of his way to print labels that should have been sent to me in the first place. Especially when I pointed it out and asked for it.
From the recent reviews, I can only hope that this is an isolated set of cases due to the current climate. It would be a great shame if this is the precedent that they are setting.
All I can say is if you're ordering something and you can be sure it won't need to be sent back, then Cooksongold are an excellent company to buy from. But if you need to send something back, good luck.

Lame service! My first order was the last one. Technical problems in their system caused a wrong price and so it wasn't possible to purchase the ordered goods. That's bad enough, but might be acceptable. But ignoring emails to solve that is an absolute no go!

Items were fine, but they took my money for next day delivery, and it wasn't delivered for a few days.

When I complained they said they weren't offering next day services but were still advertising that option and taking money for it.

They refused to give me a refund.

I used to read these bad reviews about Cooksongold and I thought -oh those people are being over the top-Mistakes happen and with everything going on I understand, but now I get it! I have been patient, but this is too much now and you can only make so many mistakes and excuses. If you are still short staffed-get a better system in place & better internal communication.
I spoke to / emailed a few people all with a different excuse...just say you messed up instead of fibbing and making excuses.
Latest order, which was ordered in June and charged for in full and status updated daily to dispatched , eventually phoned almost 3 weeks later...to be told oops it’s still in the building and will be dispatched the next day-fast fwd next day to an email saying they do not have stock of an item- (I’ve already paid in full and it was in stock at time of order)
Having had enough, thoroughly p.o. I cancel my order & request a refund.
When you try to cancel your order and get your money back they kick their asses into gear always loaded with excuses(b.s excuses I might add) they canceled my order and then MADE A NEW ORDER with the items from my previous order they had in stock and proceeded to try and charge me AGAIN (after I had said to cancel and refund me, who the hell does that! and by the way this is NOT the first time they have charged me twice for the same order)
THEN! Yes there’s more...more excuses...they continue to tell me that my order was cancelled and the reason there was confusion the invoice wasn’t printed and my money was refunded ( it never was) absolute fumbling nonsense excuse, The previous people I spoke to had different excuses fyi -at this point I am sitting with my bank statements.
Then after a phone call trying to find out what is going on and to get my refund and cancel my order (old and the new one they just created)….the person on the phone says „I will go down right now and make sure this order goes out“ uhmmmm English? Spanish? German? What language do you want me to speak? What don’t you understand about cancel my order and refund me please. (3rd request at this time)
After having to argue that I was not refunded - this should not even have to happen in the first place.
I finally receive my refund.
Needless to say, will NEVER be ordering again. Account deleted with them.

This was my first order with Cookson Gold. I placed my order on the Sunday and received it the following Wednesday.

Inside the outer Jiffy bag was a large poly bag with everything in. Each item was in its own smaller poly bag with a large label indicating the contents. In addition each bag has a clear sequential number that matches to the order on the invoice. Thus it was extremely easy to see what each item was and to see that everything ordered had been delivered.

They stocked what I wanted and prices seem more than reasonable.

I didn't need to contact the company nor return anything so cannot comment on those aspects.

I've been very pleased and would certainly use Cookson Gold again.

I ordered a silver torque necklace from Cooksongold. It arrived the following day and I am very pleased with it! A lovely item, great price and a speedy delivery! Thank you!

Absolutely appalling service. Ordered a bench at the start of December, FIVE MONTHS LATER and I have still not received this bench. No one has been in contact to explain why this order has taken so long. We were promised it would arrive in February and we are now in May. Every time I have phoned to speak to someone about this I am told I will get a call back and no one calls me back. I cannot believe the way this has been dealt with. This has caused me to delay orders and setting up my business and subsequently cost me money.

I've gone to Cooksongold many times now and I still love walking into the shop in Birmingham's Jewellery quarter. Always stocked up, always fantastic quality, the staff are friendly and helpful and make the effort.
I also like the demo area with the bench set up, it makes me want to buy more tools :D
When I've ordered Bullion or Wire it has always come at the correct length weight and size so its a place i can trust.
If you order anything on the website the packages turn up in biodegradable bags which is a bonus and effort is made to reduce the waste.

I placed my first order and realised within the hour that I had mistakenly ordered two of the same tool. I had taken it out of twee basket but my laptop crashed and when I refreshed the page I didn't notice it had put the tool back in. I immediately emailed them and told them of my error, whereby I was told t he y couldn't take it out as it was already packaged! Less than an hour after the order was placed they insist they will charge me and I can pay to return it. Disgusted and will never order again

I've only just got into jewellery making but have had several orders from Cooksongold which have all arrived very quickly indeed. I'm disappointed with one hammer but this may be down to my lack of experience. Everything else has been excellent.
Also, the website is easy to use and on the one occasion I had cause to ring them the lady I spoke to was very friendly and helpful so it's nearly a win win situation! The vast number of incessant e-mails is the only reason I have knocked it down a star. I could understand their offers for Black Friday but then they went on and on and when I received yet another on Christmas Day it was the final straw and I unsubscribed.

What is going on with company! I have been a customer for 30 years. Nobody is interested. Nobody calls you back or replies to emails.

I recently placed an order on Cooksongold. I was starting to get worried because my order kept not arriving, so I checked into my order status and noticed that my chubby fingers had entered the wrong postal code - the last digit was wrong.
Obviously this means the Danish postal service with their 0 flexibility approach will most likely eventually return the order. So I contacted Cooksongold to ask if they had gotten the order back yet.
They had not, but they went ahead and marked down that the order should be shipped to me again to the correct address if(when) it does return to them.
The mistake was 100% mine yet they stepped up and went out of their way to assist me. This is what I would consider really great service.

I don't know what all the negative feedback I see is about, but I can only say good things here.

My order was 'lost' in the post although no proof of postage was supplied. After about 5 emails they finally resent my order. I kindly asked them to send the new order via a tracked service and was ignored. More than once.
It's so boring having to keep chasing a company and doing their job for them. Wont be purchasing from here again.

Used twice now for a big bag of finished jewellery items. The products and prices are very decent, range quite small but plenty good enough - would use again. They behave more like a wholesaler, which they kind of are, so everything comes in mini self-seal bags packed in more self seal bags dropped in a jiffy bag. Lots of not very eco packaging waste, not much protection for delicate items

Easy to navigate website, everything that I could possibly need. The delivery came earlier than I expected. The order was correct and all the pieces arrived. Good prices and good products.
