Charles Hope Apartments Arvostelua 

We had a fantastic stay in this two-bedroom apartment in Manchester. The location is ideal, with everything you need close by, and the facilities felt genuinely premium rather than just advertised as such.

Travelling with our 2-year-old, cleanliness and safety were a top priority, and the apartment exceeded expectations on both. It was spotless, well-maintained, and felt very comfortable for a family stay.

One of the highlights was the view – waking up to watch the sunrise stretching out towards the Peak District moorland was something special and made the stay feel like a real treat.

We wouldn’t hesitate to book again and would highly recommend it to others.

We enjoyed a comfortable stay in a well-equipped apartment. The location was perfect for accessing central Birmingham and the north of the city. Check-in and check-out were quick and efficient and the courtyard and nearby park were ideal for our small dogs. We parked our cars adjacent to the apartment block and there were local shops and takeaway restaurants close at hand. We would certainly return.

2408 has a sewerage issue.
It stinks. It smells so bad that one of our guests was violently sick and had to sleep in the tiny sofa. After reporting this on day one, a member of staff came with a spray and then we heard no more. We stayed 3 nights in total, hearing no more from the owners, no offer to move and no explanation or apology.
The WiFi also does not work, nor does the coffee machine. I could list more.
We also had the common issue of only one fob for 4 guests. We asked for a second before arrival as we were not moving as a group. With no way of entering the building without it, it messed up our entire weekend.
Super unfortunate as the location and apartment decor wise is good. If you get allocated this apartment the night before, I’d request another.

Parking - issues when we got there , another car was in our space. Making contact via WhatsApp took a long time to get responses. Ended up phoning in.

Access to the building took a long time due to its digital only system and relying on someone on WhatsApp to grant you access. Was granted access past the first doorway. Then 3 m later there is another doorway where we had to stand for 10 minutes to be allowed through that doorway. Then 30 seconds later we arrived at our apartment, where we could not get access. The messaging was very infrequent and very delayed and it took over an hour from the point of arrival until being allowed in the room. The room excess was eventually granted by a building manager in another block of flats which I had to go and find whilst my family waited in a corridor for over an hour.

Beautiful and clean apartment. Amazing location for viewing Manchester City. However, no parking onsite. No smoking areas. Only 1 toilet roll provided for a 3 day stay! (Which forced us to buy our own). The concierge onsite can’t help you with anything so totally useless if you’re having trouble collecting/returning keys etc. Charles Hope were however responsive and helpful when needed. Overall I probably wouldn’t stay again because of having to park elsewhere and being a smoker, having to go outside of the building completely makes for an inconvenient stay.

All was good upon arrival but after 2 days all electrical power was lost in the apartment so we had to move to another apartment. While in the first apartment it wasn’t very clear what the WiFi code was and took 3 phone calls before someone was able to assist us. The lid of the bin would keep popping open which was annoying especially if it had rubbish in, but the apartment itself was very good with fantastic views of London and a very good modern gym.

I really enjoyed my stay at Charles Hope. I needed to go to the Embassy and it was a quick walk to get there. I had my child with me with the wagon push chair thing and I needed a refrigerator because of their special diet and I really really loved it. We had we had a lovely time, the bed everything was so clean. Everything was just absolutely beautiful. The bath it was really big which was fun for my child and they had a very luxurious shower that I used later and it was just a really nice day thank you so much. I really appreciate they went out of their way a little bit to help me because of my circumstances and I just I really appreciated everything.

The apartment is clean, well decorated and with lovely view. Walk distance to many attractions

I contacted several times about an issue with the apartment blinds not being usable and it was never fixed.

The departure time was a bit too early and the train noise was a bit annoying. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay. Thank you.

The parking is a nightmare. Was not allocated a space number even though I booked and paid weeks in advance? I assumed it was the apartment number, no. Called guests services on arrival who allocated a space only to find someone already parked there(it's a large busy car park). Called again only to be asked if we could drive around to tell the agent what spaces were free and the number plates of the car's??. Absolutely not! This was our first impression of CH and after a long drive it's not what we expected.
During our stay another resident had been blocked in so was unable to move his car for over 24hr and the constant beeping of residents who can't get into their allocated space
( Which I can understand but doesn't really provide a peaceful stay does it) CH, sort out the parking it can't be that hard!
Heads up, you are 20 mins walk away from restaurants and shops.
The smoke alarm is sensitive... don't bother trying to cook on the hob as the alarm is above it!!
Should you need assistance of any kind bear in mind it's all via the telephone. The reception in block 4 will not provide any help whatsoever and in their words ' we have nothing to do with CH guests! ' will be only response you get. Personally, a hotel stay is a far better option!

Overall ok/pass.
The apartment is not noise-proof: Thuds and washing machine whirring noise can be heard from surrounding apartments.
Dish washer does not seem to be properly connected to water and detergent door does not eject properly.
I stayed three nights: only two tea bag, not enough milk.
Wi-Fi password not easy to get: in the corner of the welcome screen in small font and too complex (use a QR code sticker at least)
Living room very sparse. Nice apartment but cheap low quality dining table/chairs/curtains..etc
Check-in process not clear or smooth: received many emails and had to call to enquire. Checkout instructions not consistent between various communications.
Map on your website is completely wrong and lead to a village outside Cambridge. No proper building address or google maps pin.
Too many locked doors leading to apartment, one of which seems to be faulty (3 swaps everytime to open)
Shame parking is not included - car park is virtually empty and at 20 pounds/night is not reasonable.

I had issues filling out the online check in, this took several phone calls to resolve, upon arrival at the property there's no signage on where to go, just multiple high rise blocks of flats. When I was eventually let in to the apartment two hours passed the check in time, a cleaner was stood behind the door eating biscuits, she hurried away, but the apartment was far from clean, and there was crumbs everywhere! I took pictures of any damage i could find so that I didn't get blamed! There's plenty of noise from the other apartments, and the cold tap in the bath didn't work, so I waited two hours for my bath to cool before getting in. The location is central, Hove Station is a 5 min walk, with the railway right outside the apartment, something to bear in mind as trains run throughout the night. The kitchen was missing any cutting boards, and I couldn't find a tea towel. Paid £45 for 3 days parking, but bearcin mind i didn't check in until 5pm, and check out was 11am. Over all for the price was reasonable, I just feel like the execution could be better streamlined. Still awaiting my deposit back, nobody mentioned how long that takes, so again I will probably have to chase it up!

Issues with check in details not being available and having a stressful check in experience.
Woke up to no water - it had turned itself off and this was not clear so having to call for help on a Sunday morning not ideal at all!
My deposit has still not been returned to me as of yet - no reason why this should have been taken out of my bank and not refunded over 36hrs after check out

Over all the apartment was really beautiful , no flaws very clean. But the communication was poor they had taken hour to reply if not at all, it was really difficult to find and parking was unclear .I had to sign a few documents off of the booking.com app. Booking.com advises not to follow any further links but there was no option to not do that. I would stay again if those things were improved
