From my first email inquiry through to vehicle pick up. Everything was smooth and handled promptly. The vehicle has been reliable and performs beautifully. This is not my first time hiring from Celtic Legend and I’d definitely hire from them again. I’d recommend them, for their prompt communication, no hidden costs and reliability.

Very good pre rental advice . Communication clear and offered a second driver included unlike major competitors .We did a one way rental ie dropped off at a different airport which was smooth. Car was perfect. Only thing to mention Edinburgh airport transfer needs a little more time than you may plan for . This was due to the bus frequency and we stopped on the way to airport. I would recommend Celtic legend

Most things were well explained prior to our arrival in Scotland. We found the car hire facility without problems and staff were very friendly throughout the collection process.
At our early drop off time we found there was a free early drop off facility at an adjacent car park. But in fact we were charged for out of hours service for someone to open the Arnold Clark premises for us to return the vehicle direct to there. This may have been some misunderstanding but could have been better explained.
Our car was very good, no issues at all. All in all I will deal with this company again, but will clarify the early drop off procedure / charges beforehand.

Easy to discuss and book beforehand from overseas - very straightforward booking with a simple quote that was easy to understand, and transparent with what it included - it was also cheaper than the four online quotes from other car hire companies

Actually, a few of the inclusions were things that other companies I looked into had as additional costs

I booked my car a couple of months before my scheduled trip to Scotland. The folks at Celtic Legends did a great job of matching me with a car (BMW 5 door) that was suitable for my 3 week trip. They were very quick to respond to my questions and updated my contract when necessary. I would certainly rent my vehicle from Celtic Legends for any future travel needs. Thanks also to the Arnold Clark folks in Paisley. They went through the contract and spent some time explaining the features of the car. The return process was also very quick. When we first arrived at Glasgow airport, they picked us up at the airport and transported us to the rental office. They also took us back to the airport for our return flight. Great coordination between Celtic Legends and Arnold Clark made for a worry free driving vacation.

We booked a Group 4 automatic vehicle and were pleasantly surprised to receive a fully equipped Volvo XC40, which was perfect for our road trip around Scotland.

We had an excellent experience with Celtic Legend and I would definitely recommend them.

From the very first contact, their email support was prompt, clear and thorough. I really appreciated not only the speed of their replies, but also the quality of the advice they provided before the trip, which helped us prepare better and understand some of the specific aspects of driving in Scotland.

We picked up the car in Armadale through Arnold Clark, which is a very well-established rental company in Scotland. The whole process was smooth, straightforward and very similar to dealing with any major car rental company. The car was practically new and perfectly in line with what we had requested.

During the trip, we had a small incident while waiting for a ferry: the car parked next to ours opened its door and, because of the strong wind, it hit our car and caused a small chip. I immediately contacted Celtic Legend and they replied straight away, giving me support and clear guidance. In the end, when we returned the car, it turned out not to be a major issue, but I really appreciated how quickly and helpfully they responded when I needed assistance.

We travelled at the end of May and, probably also thanks to the period, we did not find many tourists. This made the whole trip even more enjoyable, especially on the roads and around the most scenic stops.

As for the driving, I eventually found the single track roads manageable. The key is not to rush, to keep left, and to use the passing places correctly, including pulling into the passing places on your left when needed to let oncoming traffic pass. Local drivers tend to be quite fast, but overall I found them fairly patient: as long as you move aside when possible and drive sensibly, it is all quite manageable.

I would also recommend Tripiamo. It is expensive, but in my case it was genuinely useful to become familiar with some of the specific features of driving in Scotland. I should mention that I had already driven on the left before, during two previous holidays in Ireland of about ten days each, so I was not a complete beginner. Even so, I found several of their practical tips genuinely helpful.

The icing on the cake: under comparable conditions, Celtic Legend was also the cheapest option I found for car rental during the whole trip.

In short: a serious, responsive, helpful, good-value and reliable service. Highly recommended.

We hired our car through Celtic Legends who's staff were helpful and professional during the whole process which helped to make our tour of Scotland perfect. They organised everything including a smooth pickup and drop off with Arnold Clark. We got the car we asked for which happened to be less then a year old and drove like a dream. The process with Celtic Legend in Edinburgh was smooth and easy. Later in our trip we had to rent from a more well-known car agency (at least in the US) and it was chaos. The contrast was striking. The Celtic vehicle was nice and almost new and suited our needs perfectly. We modified the date and location of drop off at the last minute without any problems. I also like how Celtic includes all the fees and insurance options upfront so you know what you're going to pay when you arrive. I would rent from them again without a doubt.

My experience was outstanding from start to finish. From the very first contact and booking process to the return of the vehicle, everything was handled professionally, efficiently, and with genuine friendliness. When my flights were rerouted, your team quickly arranged the necessary changes, making what could have been a stressful situation completely effortless.
The city station shuttle for vehicle pickup from Buchanan Bus Station was arranged with a simple phone call and worked perfectly. Together with the airport shuttle for drop-off, it made both the start and end of the rental exceptionally convenient and hassle-free.
