Capricorn Financial Consultancy Arvostelua 

Having had a positive experience with Capricorn FC in 2021, my partner was contacted again ahead of his re-mortgage. He scheduled an online meeting on 2 January; no one showed and no apologies were given, in advance or subsequently. Despite this, my partner arranged a follow up meeting on 6 January. Mortgage options and requirements were discussed with a promise the advisor would provide more detailed options in the next few working days. Those few days turned to weeks; 3 weeks - 24 January, in fact, after a chaser email was sent. In the meantime, another broker acting independently wrapped up the remortgage within a matter of days.

My partner emailed the company setting out his experience, hoping it would help them understand where it may lose customers and to enable them to take action to address the issues highlighted. To date, Capricorn haven’t had the curtesy of acknowledging the email (though as noted, the options were sent several days after so it appears to have been received), let alone apologising or setting out what steps they’d take to prevent it from happening again.

Based on this experience, we would not recommend Capricorn. It’s one thing to have an unprofessional advisor but for the company to fail to acknowledge a polite email highlighting issues shows a lack of concern for customers that speaks volumes.

Albano and Elga were absolutely fantastic. Very quick to respond, explained everything in detail and were generally just great! Very happy with the service, thanks again.

Britanny was super helpful. She had answers to all of my questions at her fingertips, explained things about mortgages in a way that anyone could understand, and she was very quick responding to all comms - emails, answering the phone, etc. etc.

I've used Capricorn twice for a residential mortgage and a buy to let remortgage.

Lewis Hutton helped on both and we couldn't be happier with the service provided. He was very clear with explaining our options and running through various different scenarios so we could make an informed decision. We had a couple of purchases fall through which meant we had to go back to the drawing board with getting a new mortgage offer organised which Lewis helped us on.

Will definitely use again on our next purchase/ sale.

Excellent support from Ross Culley!

Ross Culley was my mortgage advisor, and he supported me through a very long journey of house hunting, making offers, and finally completing my purchase. He was always willing to help! Even while on holiday, he arranged a mortgage in principle for me instantly. He patiently answered all my questions (even the silly ones!) and guided me through every step of the process.

As a first-time buyer, I faced plenty of challenges and dealt with some unprofessional salespeople and estate agents, but I can honestly say that Ross was the best part of the experience. He is an outstanding mortgage advisor, and I couldn't recommend him more highly.

Albano has a unique blend of skills, combining a deep technical knowledge of complex remortgaging procedures with strong communication skills, enabling him to push things forward when property solicitors or any other stakeholders stall the entire process for days or weeks. Finally, he is a type of person who is genuinely interested in getting things done as fast as possible with minimal effort on the client side. Overall, I highly recommend working with Albano. He is an expert in his field and can advise on mortgage matters of varied complexity.

Nioosha Sajadi was my mortgage broker - really excellent service from start to finish. As a first-time buyer, Nioosha assuaged many of my worries and answered all of my questions very completely. She also helped to chase my solicitors on lender-related matters when they were being slow. I'll be back when it comes time to remortgage!

Ross Culley was our broker and he was simply fantastic. I have been dealing with Ross for the past year and a half as we have been trying to find the right property for us, and he has always been extremely reliable, proactive and professional. Buying a house for the first time can be really daunting, but Ross has been an amazing help.

Ross Culley was incredibly helpful throughout our mortgage application. He was highly responsive and attentive to all our questions at every stage of the process, super knowledgeable about what he does. We applied this mortgage for property purchase which was part of a long chain, which meant the timeline changed and was delayed several times, hence requiring our mortgage offer to be extended. Ross handled everything seamlessly, making the whole experience clear and stress-free for us. He was always easy to reach, and his support from start to finish was outstanding. A fantastic person to work with and a great company overall.

Capricorn Financial Consultancy - Interview Process. Review.

First stage was a Teams meeting that lasted up to 40 mins. Emma Kingsmill , was very professional who advise me to walk her through my resume. I explained my skills and qualities that make me best suited for the role. Emma explained the company sales target and provided real life examples of people who reached those targets e.g Tim Aspinall. Emma then asked me if I am currently applying for other jobs , which I replied yes. Then she arranged a team meeting with Tim Aspinall ( number 1 sales advisor), for further due diligence.

2nd Stage - I had a Teams meeting with Tim Aspinall , who then gave me information about the work culture/environment for working at Capricorn financial. He then advised me to walk him through my cv and explain my skills and qualities that attracted me to the role. The team meeting lasted up to 15 mins, then I was advised that Emma will get back to me via email for further notification.

3rd Stage- Emma sent me an email to ask how do I think the interview went with Tim. I then responded that Tim explain all the key fundamentals of the role and that I will be joining team of 5-7 people. I was then advised to do a presentation explaining who am I ?, and what are my goals and ambitions for the next 5 years. Once I completed the presentation, Emma advised me to forward the PowerPoint slides to check over before I present it to Tim at the office in London.

4th Stage - I commuted to the office and Tim Aspinall happily booked me free parking space. Once I entered the office I was escorted by the receptionist to the presentation area , that already had my presentation on screen. I waited 10 mins for Tim to gather all the senior advisers to watch my presentation. After my presentation, they questioned my ambitions and previous experience. They advised me this role is not a get rich quick scheme and I have to wait 1-3 months for a return of investment.

If you are mature, patient and punctual ; I will definitely recommend joining the company. However, if your looking to make quick money, you should seek an alternative investment firm.

Our consultant was extremely helpful, polite and proactive at the beginning, in particular when he reached out to us. He took time to have calls and provide details on the various options, but then AFTER we signed the contract with them - and they were sure we would proceed with them as mortgage advisors - he basically disappeared.
I would say their only interest was earning their fee - I am not even sure we got the best mortgage deal on the market as they said.

Shout out to Alex Smith, who relentlessly helped with all my 5 offers (it's been a terrible journey) and manage to deal with a very tricky situation I had with a freehold flat! Highly recommend working with him - he is so responsible and reliable, and was what supported me through horrible times...
