I recently traded my canon 70-200L lens. Although to took them sometime to respond first, once the process has started moving, they were efficient and professional. I was very pleased with them.

Jayme, Jack and Adam are all 5 Stars! Recently traded in my Nikon D850 as I'd been umming and Ahhing about it for a while. Jayme was able to setup a collection for me after I emailed them, DHL came the next day for me. Jack kept me updated when my camera arrived in with their inspection team and Adam confirmed the inspection was a success and processed the payment for me. Really speedy and easy to use. Will look to buy some equipment from them later on in the year

Camera Jungle... I rue the day I ever came across them.
I wanted to sell two of my lenses to cover the cost of purchasing one second hand lens. This was the only place I came across that had the lens in the ‘excellent condition’ that I wanted.
Firstly, Camera Jungle (CJ) advertise Part Exchange but I found out that they actually don’t provide that service. Oh well.
I offered two lenses for CJ to buy from me which we agreed a price and they collected via courier.
I must say they were responsive and keen for this part of the deal. I also purchased a lens and that’s where it all went downhill. Fast.
They didn’t take my payment for the lens I’d bought after I’d made the online purchase. I received several emails asking me to ‘pay again’. I called my bank and they clarified that CJ were at fault and need to take the funds. It showed on my banking app as ‘pending payment’ I emailed several times explaining this, but no one replied. Eventually, several days later, they claimed the monies and posted the lens. That was stressful enough.

They emailed me later and said that the payment for my lenses (the ones I was selling to them & that they collected via courier) would be adjusted and payment made within five days. Well, five days went by and I emailed asking for the funds. No replies.
I emailed again, and again… and again. (Their phone lines are dead “as a result of home/hybrid working”, make of that what you will) it’s now ten days and I’ve not received payment nor a reply to my email, nor a phone call that I’ve asked for also. I’ve been had.
I looked into their reviews across multiple platforms and see that I’m not the first to be hit with this.
At the moment I’m in touch with Jessops who are the parent company trying to get them to resolve this and pay me.
I feel defrauded and scammed. I think I’ve lost a lot of money and my expensive lenses. Do not deal with this company. DO NOT sell them your cameras/lenses. This has been the worst experience with any company that I’ve ever had the misfortune to deal with. Customer service is atrocious. You will regret ever hearing the name Camera Jungle. Please DO NOT go near this company. I cannot emphasise that enough.

Just unbelievably BAD purchased a 6d " MINT " the LCD screen was scratched Badly on 16th Jan ,Returned a few days later ,it is now the 10Feb , and i have not received Refund , just emails and then ignored for a few days , Jessops you need to sort this Bunch out !!!! Complete opposite to MPB allways Top Service

Emailed them to ask a simple question, the response was so quick to come back.

Helped retrospectively with an urgent query and resolved the issue for me.

recently I purchased a used (excellent condition) Sony E-mount lens (Order No. CJ22430385). The lens arrived in appalling condition with lots of dust and fungus inside. Contacted the company by email - zero response in two weeks. Their phone stated on the website - 0330 808 3324 never works either (always automated reply: ...not possible to connect your call, try again later). Is it legal at all to behave like that? All I wanted is CJ to arrange a collection of their "excellent" condition lens for refund. But it appears to be extremely difficult even to talk to them. Going to write an official complaint (by post) and initiate a charge back through my bank.

Very poor communication. It takes several days just to respond to a simple email.

I should have read the reviews before I sold my equipment to them - there are a lot of reviews complaining about late payments. And yes, those reviews are accurate!

Most other Camera companies I have dealt with, paid promptly usually on the day they received the item - the longest I had to wait was two days.

I would avoid using this company.

Update. They had received the camera I am selling three weeks ago, but I am yet to receive the payment for it. However, they have already listed my camera up for sale on their website!

Update 2: Three days after asking them if they had actually made the payment, I still have not heard anything back. Nada. No payments in my account. It is really shocking that a seemingly reputable company treat their customer in such disdain, after all they are part of Jessops.

got myself a mint a7 3! couldnt afford the new a7 4 but a friend of a friend reccomended these guys to me, cheaper than others and also got a discount code too

Used Camera Jungle a few times over the years - have always been good to deal with and equipment has been as described.

Traded in my old Canon 600D and lenses, then I bought from them a Sony A7III and 55mm Zeiss Lens. Quick and professional service all round, would defo recommend!

Appaling customer service

One of the worst experiences I ever had. Bought a camera which, 10 days later has not been delivered. They never answer fb or instagram messages while it took them 3 days to reply to my email, offering no help at all. Their phone never works.

I am afraid I just wasted 450gbp. Seriously unprofessional - if not a scam.

Avoid them!

Bought a Canon 135 F2 Lens “Excellent” condition, it was far from excellent it was as good as new! Extremely pleased with my new lens, came with box and pouch etc Camera Jungle delivered lightening fast and exactly when they said it would. I have used Camera Jungle several times in the past and never had any issues. Buy with confidence and save a sweet penny in the process.

I sold some camera equipment to Camera Jungle on 4th August. The purchase was agreed by them and they asked for bank details. It is now 20th August and they have not made a payment and are not replying to emails. I recommend avoiding this company at all costs.

Having got a quote for my equipment and it being accepted, I sent my items off at my own cost recorded. I then received confirmation that they had received my items and accepted the condition (This was only after I emailed).

They then asked for my bank details in order to send me my payment which I was told would take 10 working days.

They confirmed receipt of my details on Saturday 24th July 2021, It has now been 12 working days (10th August 2021) and I have still not received payment.

I have emailed numerous times with no response.

I will update this review once my payment has been received.

I advise not to sell to this company unless you don't mind waiting...

This company need to remember that the people that sell to them are also their customers. I had previously purchased items from Camera Jungle without a problem, hence the 2 stars, however selling to them is an entirely different matter. Having sent my items recorded delivery (at my own cost), I had to chase them after a week to get them to acknowledge receipt and confirm their quote. They ask for your bank details and say the payment will be 10 days. It does seem this is what they do judging by other reviews, however this is stated nowhere on their website. After 10 days I still had not received payment, but had noticed that my lenses had already been listed and some had sold! After multiple emails and missed promises of payment I finally received my payment, almost a month after sending my items away. Terrible service and a lost customer for the sake of a £200 payment.

i purchased a lens and discovered a scuff on the inside glass at a specific focus after three months. they didn't want to know even though it was sold to me as used in mint condition. will never buy from them or recommend them to anyone again.
