Bored Panda does not give users real control over their own content.

I posted work on their platform years ago. Recently, I decided to remove my content and account and was genuinely shocked to find there is no functional way to do it. There is no option to edit or delete your own posts, and when I contacted them directly, they ignored multiple requests.

This isn’t just frustrating, it’s a serious issue. They continue to display and benefit from my copyrighted images while refusing to respond to removal requests. There is a clear lack of transparency and accountability in how they handle user content and personal data.

Because of their failure to respond, I filed a formal complaint with the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate.

If you are a photographer, artist, or creator, understand this before you post anything there: you may not be able to get it back or take it down. Once it’s up, they appear to keep it whether you want it there or not.

That should concern anyone who values control over their own work.

The site freezes and reloads so often that I give up trying to finish an entire page. It used to load faster but the ads and constant pop ups slow it down so much that it’s not worth waiting for. I enjoy the content but am losing interest when I wait so long. I have not experience these problems at any other site that I frequent. Come on, Bored Panda, make me love you again!

Site is unusable now. Aggressive ads, not responding errors, slow loading etc.

This site used to be really good for fun articles or ways to pass time on journeys etc. It's now completely unusable. There are so many ads all trying to load as soon as one finishes, constant redirection to outside sites with advertisements, and it'll scroll the article if an advert is trying to play somewhere unseen. Other times it just won't load at all. I guess trying to get ALL the adverts caused issues, and they probably should have stuck to a couple of reputable companies. Such a mess now, and usually critical errors come up 4 or 5 times a day.

Bored Panda are, for some reason, publishing antisemitic content by Amita K.

I loved Bored Panda until a couple of weeks ago. Now when I try to enjoy their content, I keep automatically getting redirected to other sites and can't get back to where I was. Unless I have the patience (which I've lost) to start over and over again, I can't get through everything that's posted. Ads are annoying enough, but I understand the revenue aspect of those. To be involuntarily redirected to another site is unacceptable

I tried to manage the cookies - agreed to some, banned others. I still get blocked from viewing your site. These are Mafia tactics.
You used to be an enjoyable read. Not worth the bother now.

This site used to be pretty great, and had some interesting articles. It still has some, but over the past week or so, I have gotten a pop-up ad that screams at me, "You have 18 viruses on your computer - click on this link NOW!" after visiting this site and only after visiting this site. so I won't be visiting anymore on either my home or work computer. It's a shame, because it used to be fun.

I would give no stars if i could.
They pretend to be open, uplifting and entertaining but their articles have posts that are most certainly not open and the comment section is just a group of racist, biased, uneducated people hiding behind their computers and the site makes no effort to vet the comments. It allows others to like or dislike which leaves you open to backward one-sided view of others. If enough people dislike your opinion they close your account!

Don’t bother. They have clickbait and ads that you don’t wanna deal with. Trust. Watching paint dry is more entertaining.

I once loved BP but now its just frustrating!
Mostly ads, not user friendly nor nice to look at.
You can't swipe from post to post anymore, with every back click to the menu you get a fing ad, you have to watch. More ads in the posts and posts which want to sell you stuff. I'm so mad and sad! BP was such a cool and fun place aside from the usual social media. 😢

Ads ruin this site

Way too many ads. I understand a few, but they have overtaken the site. The site runs so slow that it's not worth the trouble. There are many more pleasant websites to visit than this.

Ads, ads, ads……..so many ads. Funny thing is, I’ve seen the massive green bald head of Specsavers so much, it’s put me off ever using them! BP what have you done-not only have you forced away your loyal readers, but you’ve also created the exact opposite of what your advertisers where trying to achieve. What a result, less hits all round-pat yourselves on the back-idiots!

Used to love this site however now I can’t even get through one article without it crashing and reloading. I’ve given up

Bored panda use to be my breakfast morning read. I have been using the app for like, years now. But recently it keeps saying I have an ad blocker on. Which I don't because I am using the APP not a browser. And try as I might, there is simply no way for me to turn off an ad blocker THAT I SIMPLY DO NOT HAVE ON.
it feels like a disgusting way to try and force people to pay for their premium app. Trying to capture the 'omg fine I will pay if you let me just get on with my day' purchases.

I think i will just have to switch back to Reddit, where you pull your bloody articles from in the first place. If I could down vote you to oblivion, I would.

What was once a great place to read interesting content has become a congested mess of advertisements, advertisements, and advertisements. Your screen literally gets filled with utter pop-up garbage, which renders the website useless due to endless screen refreshes.

I used to thoroughly enjoy the site, but a massive increase in ads has made it unnavigable. Repeatedly crashing, screen jumping, resetting to the top of the page. You legitimately can’t view content anymore, there’s no point in visiting the site at all.

I recently applied for a content role with Bored Panda and was informed I had been selected for the next round. As part of the process, I was asked to complete a creative video task, which I submitted on time after putting in substantial effort.

Over several weeks, I followed up and received repeated assurances that a response would be coming. Eventually, I was told I wasn’t shortlisted, with no feedback or transparency on how my work was used or evaluated.

While I understand not being selected, what concerns me most is the lack of professional communication, the delayed response, and the expectation of unpaid creative work without clarity on how it would be used. This can feel exploitative to candidates, especially creatives investing time and originality in hopes of a fair evaluation.

I’m sharing this to help future applicants make an informed decision. If Bored Panda chooses to assign test tasks, I urge them to treat candidates with greater respect, transparency, and timely closure.

Within the last few months the number of ad placements over articles seem to have jumped upwards. In trying to "X" an ad seems many times to have to reverse effect and opens them.
I fully understand that revenue is needed to maintain a great site but these recent changes are annoying.
Last thing, Bored Panda offers you a way to see less ads and/or not to be involved with their ad partners. This pops up everytime I open Bored Panda but for some reason I can't get the system to save my choices.
I enjoy many of the articles but to tell the truth, dislike how the adverts take over.
