Boots Hearingcare - Stockton on Tees Arvostelua 

I attended an appointment at this establishment on the
19/6/2026 and first of all was totally gobsmacked at the amount that I was charged. Considering that I brought in my own frames and should only have been charged for the lenses my eye test was free as I am a Pensioner. The bill came to £434:90 it actually was £500:00 but with actually having to quibble with in my opinion the junior Optometrist Iqra Yousaf she relented and gave me a reduction bringing the amount down to £434:90. I brought in my letters from The Department of Work and
Pensions showing what entitlements I was due however nobody and I mean nobody was interested in looking at them especially Iqra. This Optometrist had a bad attitude and made me feel that she was way above me but unfortunately she was not, had zero people skills.
Unfortunately for her she did not know that the person she was dealing with was a very educated eighty year old lady, ex Grammar School educated with a degree from Trinity College University in Dublin. Also I don’t have to tell you but my father Robert Grosvenor Curtis was a very very renowned Optician with two outlets in Dublin and an Eye Consultant to two of the biggest hospitals in Dublin Sir Patrick Dunns and Drumcondra I
worked for him for a time and I never ever ever saw him have the attitude this young woman had with any of his patients he was a total gentleman and treated everyone who came to him with complete respect. Having said what I have said I would like very much to commend Lee the Senior Optician in Wellington Square and Sarah the Technician (now this lady had peoples skills in abundance a lovely lovely person). I would like Boots to give me some sort of a refund taking into consideration the way this Junior Optician treated me and the astronomical amount that they charged me. I will never never ever return to this establishment again. I never ever experienced these problems with Asda Opticians or Tesco Opticians or Spec-Savers and will be returning to one of these again.

I was talked through everything from what to expect with the hearing test ,then he showed the the chart and explained what it all meant . He then showed me the different types of hearing aids if I wanted to get them .very pleasant experience.

I couldn't of been happier with the service I received. Every thing explained so well from why I couldn't hear to explaining the hearing device.

Excellent service. I would highly recommend.

First class service and care from the very first appointment. There was no strong-armed sales technique, just honest and genuine advice. I heartily recommend Boots Hearingcare without reservation.

Very happy with all support I received. Only down side was not being able to get the credit.
