Boots Hearingcare - Nottingham, Victoria Centre Arvostelua 

Took my mum to Boots Hearing as she was having a problem with the charger for her Phonak hearing aids (one worked the other didn't). Alesha saw us and was so helpful and caring to my mum, who obviously couldn't hear well. We have been loaned a charger while mum's is sent away to be repaired. Thanks Alesha for being so kind, helpful and really pleasant.

A very attentive and understanding young lady made me feel comfortable as soon as I stepped into the room. The tests were easy to follow and results instant. Choice of hearing aids explained and I was even able to wander around the shop for 10 mins to trial the sound it was amazing.

I was seen by Annett Scott on 7th of December 2023 for hearing assessment. I would like to share my experience for the hearing care. the service was very disappointing and frustrating. She did not even explain the process of how the hearing will be done, the test started and I wasn’t even aware. Afterwards, she was very harsh in sharing the results by saying “I’ve hearing lost”. I’ve asked if this is a temporary hearing loss due to I’ve fluid in my ear, she strictly said no it’s Permanent hearing loss and need hearing aid. I was very upset and shocked by the results. According to ENT consultant it can be not accurate for now due to suffering with fluid in my both ears which can make it difficult to get hearing assessment right. Therefore she has no right to say whether I lost my hearing or not as I believe this consultation need to come from ENT doctor. I’m still under recovering for the hearing and to get the fluid out it can take weeks or months therefore hearing assessment can be unreliable results.

I have always used boots services and it has always been amazing but this time my experience was very disappointed and awful. I hope you take this feedback into consideration.

It took far too long to get this appointment for my 90 year old mother. I had to make 8 phone calls to finally get one. There was also no provision for my mum who has just come out of hospital with a severely damaged leg and has to walk with a walking frame. She also needed to go to the toilet. We were told by 2 members of staff that John Lewis were the nearest toilets the walk there and back took 40 mins when mum was exhausted. On our return we were told by another member of staff that there was a toilet much nearer for those with difficulties . The staff we spoke to knew nothing about this and made no effort to enquire. It was essential my mum to have a hearing aid but I will NEVER use boots hearing again.
