It was an absolute nightmare to get a refund. Paid extra for refund and then originally refused to refund.
Bought surprise tickets for my wife for an event ($550) but because we have joint accounts I had my friend purchase them but when purchased my friend put them immediately under my name.
My child ended up very sick in hospital so we had to cancel. My friend put a request through for refund and it was rejected because the name on the ticket was different to the purchaser.. she sent all medical certs in explaining that they were a gift and it still got declined. Had to jump through hoops. Eventually I put a request through and after a couple weeks the refund finally got approved. Paid $50 for refund yet they still wanted to keep every cent.
The amount of people that probably have not followed up after the rejection and the money that people have potentially lost because of this is absolutely atrocious.

Love my Cuban 3mm gold effect neckchain . Too early to tell if the claims hold up , but will be ordering another one

It was a great experience using this website, just wish the approval stage was a bit shorter as I took a week and that when looking at the COVID policy it didn’t take you to a new tab. But definitely a great experience!

I applied for a refund; the platform was easy to navigate. The company was quick in their responses and finalised my request efficiently and in a timely fashion. Really good cover to get with a good company to handle any requests or inquiries.

After paying for booking protect and then needing to use it (couldn’t travel due to injury) I was surprised to find I had to go to the trouble of uploading three documents, one of which was a doctors letter. These take weeks to obtain and you need to pay for them. I contacted booking protect twice on their own contact form asking what details they needed in the doctors letter. No response either time.

I purchased insurance along with my booking. I have been booking with you for many years,Unfortunatly my son became suddenly ill, and had to have major surgery, as at operation cancer was discovered.We were unable to travel. I supplieed all doctors certificates requested, all from specialist surgeons.The refund was denied by x cover! REASON Pre EXISTING CONDITION! of which nobody knew until operation. Am I to believe Insurance Companies know more about this condition, and if so, why arnt they informing the medical profession around the world of their majical diagnostic powers! SCAM shame on BOOKING .COM for recomending these SCAMMERS. Christine Aldridge

Useless company, just a waist of time and money. I took out an insurance because my flight was long and expensive, just to be protected. On arrival my suitcase was completely damaged, so I made a claim, but they refused it, so what is the point take out an insurance and when something happens you can't claim, but they happily take your money. Will never use they service again.

Don’t waste your money, you won’t receive a refund no matter what you do. They ask for all your personal medical information and then tell you that can’t help.
Complete waste of time

We booked tickets to see 3 rugby league games in 3 days in Sydney but couldn't end up going because wife had a knee operation. Managed to get all 3 refunded after sending through confirmation from GPs.

They don't have ticketing insurance for the disabled that'smy only issue, other than that the 2 times I've unfortunately had to make a ticket claim due to illness and being unable to travel to my planned event, they have been extremely easy to deal with and processed the claims without any hesitation, aslong as you have the appropriate documentation with genuine reason then you won't have any problems with the process.
