Big Motoring World - Sheffield Arvostelua 

Okay, I really do hate giving bad reviews but I have just spent over £14,000 on a car which I collected the middle of December, the experience of purchasing the car wasn’t that great and I’m not sure he wanted to sell me the car as I wasn’t going for finance in which he was very confrontational about why I didn’t want finance and tried everything to convince me - I did eventually buy the car, but as the numberplate was damaged I asked if this could be sorted and then I would collect a week later, I paid the deposit and would pick up a week later. Unfortunately, upon collecting nothing had been done and the numberplate wasn’t fixed. After emailing my concerns I was told that if I wanted to find someone to do it myself they would settle the invoice. I just left it in the end. End of February beginning of March I heard a few ping noises I had previously put it down to the fact I keep a water bottle in the back and maybe that was hitting the chair and would monitor it . I didn’t really think much of it however the noise got louder and louder by the middle of March it was impossible to turn the car without this loud pinging noise and vibration throughout the foot area , I raised it to big motoring world by email on 28th March following a chat with Citroen who told me to go back to the dealership as this is not normal. Citroen also noted an oil leak (I’m hoping it’s just residue but trusted big motoring world would look into this). I called up on 2nd April as I had no response to my email and spoke to a lovely girl who advised me that i need not worry I am fully covered within 90 days and I can get the work done myself up to a certain amount from an AA garage or the big motoring world near me has availablity and will sort me out so I don’t have to wait to be reimbursed! Perfect ! Il get a call back that day! Fast forward two weeks - nothing. I had to raise a complaint to get a very strange copy and pasted messaged back saying someone has sorted the appointment so it’s resolved. Then an email from Sebastian saying I am not entitled to any help as just after 3 months now. Honestly , my experience has been terrible. I am awaiting a final decision letter as if they have now changed their mind from no problem to your own your own then I am confidently pursuing this under my consumer rights and with the ombudsman along with other external channels. Got a car from here in Sheffield. Served by Ali. He was amazing and gave us a good explanation regarding all the insurance options and car prices. Amazing service.

Managed to reserve my car online, and the go in the next day to sort my px and drive away the same day. The sales adviser was lovely and made the process smooth

We haven't been able to get a car on our scheduled loan for a week. The monthly payment is £453 for a £22,000 car and £18,000 too. I don't understand how they're doing business with this. I should never go near your place again.

at this sheffield branch there service was 10 out of 10 ella smith the sales person was very kind and helpful and knew a lot about her work very experienced one of the managers seen to us aswell and gave us really good advise and made me feel comfortable whilst we was there drinks was offered regularly the workplace was tidy and looked nice inside would recommend to go purchase cars at this branch

Several different members of staff were involved during the process of us choosing then buying a car, all of whom were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
We did feel that more staff were needed on the Sunday of our booked test drive. Our sales advisor was dealing with another couple at the same time, in addition to training a new salesperson. It took a long time.
A couple nearby gave up after waiting nearly an hour.

Great at selling cars. However the after sales is not very good. Found a couple of issues and they didn't want to know. They said you bought the car like that so tough luck. Having a problem with my head unit connecting to Cupra. They said they don't cover it as it doesn't affect the running of the car. I found this quite absurd as it was a selling point for me. Over all this has ruined my experience with this company. Make sure everything works and find problems before you sign for the car.

I’ve spent a week getting passed between sales and after sales trying to book in an alloy refurb and other small cosmetic repairs after driving 40 miles to Sheffield on Wednesday for my appointment and the correct person not being in. Why does all customer service seem to go to a call centre where everyone is clueless? I’ve been requesting a call back from Sheffield ever since or they can have their damaged car back.

The staff and everyone was very polite and nice,they got us a very good deal on our trade in car and our new car and they also got us good warranty on our new car.Thank you Mr and Mrs w calladine.

Poor company, warranty not worth paper in wrote on. Bought a c3 developed faults with in a few weeks took it back and they said nothing wrong we closing in two weeks. The is a clear issue.

We did, it was given a tick box check and given back. No one was interested in the noise from the engine it had developed. Never checked by a mechanic. Rubbish service don’t buy from here please, just google them all the evidence is there. Same company renamed over the years a real rogue trader.

Amazing staff friendly and informative as we were moving from petrol to fully electric and had very small knowledge about what changes we had to make and what had to be considered to suit our family needs. We now wouldn’t go anywhere else or to anyone else to buy a car. Pete who helped us was that helpful, and proved that car sales aren’t just about making money, he helped us find a car that suited us and was affordable,
we even went back for our second car the week after as we were so happy with the sale. Highly recommended

Bought a car from the Sheffield Branch, I had it less than a week and it broke down. It's now been 1 week since refusing the car and I am still yet to have anyone contact me regarding this. I have called several times and emailed twice. Avoid!

EDIT I have been called by a rude man telling me it’s my job to get the car back to them. His exact words were ‘it’s your car so it’s your responsibility’ this is actually incorrect according to the consumer rights act. He said if it isn’t drivable then I need to arrange RAC to drop it off. He also tried to threaten me by saying I need to get it to them ASAP to avoid any extra mileage expenses or damage charges. It looks like this will end in the small claims court as I will not back down on this and I know my rights.

Took too long. 2.5 hrs buying the car and 1 hr when I picked it up.
Also, the worst valet on any car I've ever bought. Big black smudge on inside of b pillar that I cant remove which wasn't there on the test drive, a manky old sweet in back of drivers seat pocket and every door pocket had some sort of spilled drink residue inside. Only leaving me with 20 miles range on the battery is also outrageous. Luckily i live close so made it home but if I'd had to charge for journey the nearest public charger is 87p kw. All the staff were great though and made me feel really welcome.

Unbelievably slow service when just wanting to buy a car in cash.

Car was dirty and not prepared in advance of me coming despite reserving it adding to our wait.

Staff were nice.

Policy of needing to test drive was bizarre.

Arrived at Sheffield on time for appointment shown to a table and waited 25 minutes went back to reception told someone will be along shortly at 50 minutes went back to reception and said we are leaving the receptionist shrugged and said ok never saw any cars disguisting
