Quick to get the sale but to provide information when something goes wrong,They find it easy to hide behind each other
Will return emails when they are selling but once sold they take days to reply and you have to chase for a response

Having read your recent review, I am naturally concerned and disappointed with the comments made within.
Following a detailed appraisal of your file and subsequent contact with individuals who dealt with your purchase, it would appear file notes outline a different view to your own in terms of how events unfolded throughout this transaction. These notes, outlining conversations by phone and email, are recorded in real time as matters progress and cannot be amended thereafter.
As you were aware from the outset when you viewed the property, the development was in the hands of administrators as the original builder had gone into liquidation. Whilst another builder has since been instructed by the administrators to complete the development, they have 'inherited' the site with no pre-existing knowledge of any issues that may have been outstanding.
With any sale, there is a legal process which takes place and we have no way of knowing from the outset as to what issues may crop up. We can only be guided by information passed on to us by third parties and sometimes this can change, dependent upon circumstances.
This site has proved to be particularly challenging for all involved, due to the reasons I have outlined above. My colleagues have worked tirelessly trying to progress this transaction through to exchange but unfortunately, as one issue is resolved, another arises and this is outside of our control. I can assure you, we are equally as frustrated but to suggest there has been a lack of communication is a little unfair.
My colleagues have been transparent throughout your journey and can only pass on updates as they become available. I am sorry you have felt the need to withdraw from your purchase, but it was always made clear to you that we were unable to provide any timescales.

Following a detailed appraisal of your file, and your subsequent contact with our Witham branch, it would appear file notes outline a different view to your own in terms of how events unfolded throughout this transaction.
The property came back on the market recently as you are aware and you were given the opportunity to view. Your circumstances were presented to the seller who seriously considered your subsequent offer, but unfortunately, another potential buyer viewed who was in a stronger buying position than you.
Time is of the essence with any potential purchase, particularly as in this case, when a property proves to be popular. Whilst it is in our interest to put forward any offers to a seller, it is ultimately the seller’s choice when deciding which purchaser to go with. Their decision will usually be based on amount offered and the purchaser’s buying position. Unfortunately in this case, the seller decided to go with the other party.
I am sorry you were unable to achieve the outcome you desired and can reassure you the office will keep you fully informed of other suitable property as it becomes available.

We recently put our house on the market with Beresfords Estate Agents and from day one we were extremely well looked after by Charlotte Micallef and Josh Sutherland.
Both Charlotte and Josh were very professional, approachable, and supportive. Selling a house can be stressful, but their communication, knowledge, and calm approach made the whole process feel more manageable.
Unfortunately, we had to remove our house from the market for personal reasons, and even though by then they had sold our property, they fully understood our situation, and we never felt they were disappointed we had to pull out of the deal.
We really appreciated this and would highly recommend both of them, and Beresfords Estate Agents, to anyone looking to buy or sell a property.

The Best Estate Agent Experience We Could Have Asked For
We cannot thank Charlotte Micallef and the team at Beresfords Upminster enough for everything they did for us during the sale of our home. From the very first meeting, Charlotte stood out from the other agents we had round. She was honest, knowledgeable, trustworthy and incredibly professional. Unlike other agents who simply told us what we wanted to hear, Charlotte gave us genuine advice about the market, our property and the best strategy to achieve the strongest result — and she absolutely delivered.
What we loved most about Charlotte was her honesty and straight-talking approach. There is no nonsense or false promises with her, she says it exactly how it is, and in this industry that is incredibly refreshing. It gave us complete confidence that we were in the right hands from day one. Local people in Upminster spoke so highly of her before we instructed Beresfords, and now we completely understand why. If you are selling in Upminster, we genuinely would not go anywhere else.
Charlotte went above and beyond throughout the entire process. She cared about us, our sale and getting us the best possible outcome. She kept us calm during stressful moments, always made herself available and worked tirelessly to get our sale through successfully. She is clearly passionate about what she does and that shows in the service she provides.
She also has an incredible team behind her who truly are a dream team. Everyone worked together seamlessly to get our house sold and you can really tell they all care about their clients and support one another. The communication was excellent throughout and we always felt informed and looked after. They worked so hard for us and ultimately achieved a fantastic price for our home.
I also have to say, after previously buying through another local agent, Balgores, the difference in service was night and day. Sadly, our experience there was very poor and we often felt misled. Working with Charlotte and Beresfords made us realise what a professional, honest and high-quality estate agency service should actually look like. The level of care, communication and professionalism Charlotte provides is far above many other agents in the area.
Charlotte is a huge asset to Beresfords and they are incredibly lucky to have her leading the Upminster office. We were so grateful for everything she did for us that we even bought her a Fortnum & Mason hamper as a thank you — and she truly deserved it!
