Ayatai is based in China. There is no shop at 1201 Broadway, Suite 600 New York, NY 10001. Do a Google street view, it’s an office building Ayatai has nothing there. The cashmere sweatshirt I purchased became a 95% polyester 5% spandex shirt. They offered me a $15 credit and I could keep the shirt. Bogus company and I had to get new credit cards following the. Purchase due to a variety of false charges. PS don’t expect Citi Visa to refuse payment, after their investigation they said it was my responsibility and if I did not pay the bill they would notify all three credit agencies. So much for being “their for me and protecting me”

I ordered two pair of shorts, got two pair of pants that are of poor quality. I asked them to send me what I ordered. They asked me to send pictures of what I received which I sent. They wanted me to give my order to a friend rather than return to them which I would have to pay for. They offered me a rebate if I keep the pants which I have yet to see. This is a scam. Learn from my mistake.

Terrible customer service, terrible product, wish I had read the reviews before I purchased from them. I have very little to show from my$100 purchase. They gave me a complete run-around to try and return my purchase for a less than full refund. Completely unsatisfactory and shady company to deal with. Wish I didn't have to learn the hard way of what not to do in the future. BIG RIP OFF.

Fake advertising, I ordered two cashmere sweaters called “men can’t get enough of this cozy cashmere sweater” in the title and they are a cheap ribbed see-through fabric instead (95% polyester 5% spandex) with loose threads and poor stitching. Ordered 2 Men's large and they sent a children's size! No refunds from them. Must ship back to China for any type of refund. Costs almost as much as the shirt to do this!

Ayatai is a total ripoff. Please do not order anything from this company. Ordered 2 men's polo shirts in large men's size. My petit daughter (118lbs) could not fit into the shirt. Tried to return them but was frustrated by having to pay shipping charges (more than cost of the shirts) to some warehouse in China or get a 10% refund (which I still have not received). Extremely bad customer service.

Shoes were nothing like the picture. Website shows 2 old school New York Italian artisans. Your item will be shipped from China and it will be cheap Chinese garbage. Wrong size and poor quality. Try to return/exchange it under their 30 day no-hassles policy and you will get the run-around.

Don't make the same mistake I did - Do not order from this company.

I ordered what was pictured and described as a 100% cotton mens shirt. What arrived direct from a Chinese trading company was a 100% polyester shirt. The company did respond to my email complaint, but the most it would do is a 25% refund.

Do not buy from Ayatai or Bestbestones. They are the same fraudulent operation using identical websites to scam customers. I ordered a "$60 Premium 100% Cashmere" shirt and received a cheap, transparent 100% polyester garment worth $10 or probably less.
When I complained, they used a scripted "quality control error" excuse and offered a measly $10 refund. To get a full refund, they demanded I ship the item back to what it seems not a company but to a private individual (Mr. Chen) in China at my own expense. The shipping cost is nearly the price of the item itself and I am not sure they will release a refund which is how they ensure you never get your money back.
Even worse, PayPal’s "Buyer Protection" failed me. Despite clear evidence of fraud, PayPal sided with the scammer, requiring me to pay for international shipping to get a refund. This company is a professional bait-and-switch operation. Avoid them at all costs and use a credit card with strong chargeback protections instead of PayPal (I will cancel my account) for these types of sites.

Total scam. As someone said, they advertise real cashmere sweaters, but when they are delivered, they are polyester.. Totally a scam as they don't accept refunds for your money. Products just cheaply made items and they tried to give me 10% credit as compensation. They would not address my issues. Didn't respond back for over a week and several emails. Do not buy anything from them. I am trying to return but have to ship to China.

I ordered a 2X Large shirt, Blue and with pocket. I received a white shirt, large and without pocket. Shirt cost over $65.00. I used PayPal to pay but once they found out I had this disputed charge on my credit card (Same Shirt) they refused to support my claim and Visa has yet to decide to pay or reimburse the fraudulent charge. Cost me a lot of time and money. Company response was "give the shirt as a present to a friend".

They finally returned my email after weeks.
They absolutely will not refund my order,
They sent me a cheap shirt that looks nothing like what I purchased .
They claim......they will refund 10% if I return it.
I paid 9.00 for shipping!!!
Total paid 63.00 plus they requested a tip unbelievable!!!!

Rip off !!!

I already posted once about Ayatai (very poor quality of the items delivered a week after Christmas), here is the rest of the story. Their website indicates you can return the items if not satisfied- what they DON’T tell you is that it won’t be full value of the price paid. They offered me a 10% refund which is $8.99 on an order of $89.99. What a rip off - I sure wish companies like this could be banned from US web advertising. Moral of my story…DO NOT BUY FROM CHINA!

The product did not match the description on the web page, poor material, different color shade.

I've mailed them several times to return the item, no response

First they advertise, "Crafted from 100% Premium Cashmere" yet the shirt is actually 100% polyester. My husband has always worn a size large in men's shirts. I ordered 2 large shirts yet the shirts I received did not fit - the shoulders were too small. I requested an exchange for an extra large after providing several photos of the shirts I received per their request. They told me to find someone else to wear the shirts and would give me a 10% credit ($9) for original shirts in exchange for ordering the extra large size. Total scam and awful customer service experience. STAY AWAY!

I ordered several of the "cozy" shirts. Poor quality. Very thin fabric and poorly made. Fit was poor, too. Not worth getting and I probably will wear them for working out or something else. Also, got a pair of shoes and didn't get what I ordered. Wrong ones. China junk I have to say and comes from Hong Kong. Don't get anything from there and just beware of anything online as it is so easy for these Chinese companies to use fake pictures, fake descriptions, etc. to sell their stuff. Go to your store and see what you get. Don't believe anything you see online. It all can be faked and usually is.

I never received my order and Ayatai does not have a phone number to reach them.
