Terrible automated phone system and many incompetent reps
Besides the representatives sounding mostly uneducated and incompetent, I can't get past their stupid answering system. They ask for too much info and verification. Too damn wordy and slow. Biometrics never work. Text message never works. Like most voice recognition systems, they don't understand what you're saying. Extremely frustrating and time wasting. Employers should not use this company.

Alight Retiree Solutions for the Ohio Police and Fire Pension Fund is a company that has to be the prime example of a company that can impress others to hire them, but delivers the most disgusting customer services to those they were hired to serve. Customer support is non-existent most times or completely lacking in any meaningful way. The website has no helpful information on it, it is almost never up to date. I have call them because the do not list my coverage that I obtained by going through their site. And when the coverage is listed it is usually outdated.

Raytheon switched from the awesome Fidelity 401k to this CF and I estimate I've lost a potential gain of 15%. That doesn't sound like much until I put a number to it, that's $150,000......
I can only assume that there was a tremendous financial benefit to RTX to permit their employees to be shafted like this. I waited too long to change but this summer I'll be rolling my entire 401k back to Fidelity, screw the company match.
Horrible, incompetent and frustrating
This mess of a "company" manages benefits for GSK retirees. The website and app are a mess bordering on useless - you can't find what you need. Their AI responder sends broken links. The call quality is horrendous - and most reps speak unintelligibly. Wait times are long and often you can't get your issue sorted. Zero stars. Shame on you, GSK, for using this sham company.
Alight is bad and to be avoided
Aon was a pretty good company. When they became Alight it all went to @#&%!
2 hr wait times on hold, people that are not knowledgeable, and people that are rude. One I dealt with was condescending and NOT helpful in the least.

Zero stars. This company epitomizes what it means to be incompetent. Why any company will work with them is beyond me? I have spent 15 hours on the phone with them regarding my commute benefits. They claim they have no formal complaint process. Ridiculous
True incompetence…
I have contacted this company five times over the past month and have been shocked at the level of incompetence of the agents I have dealt with. They have failed to complete straightforward tasks and much of the information they have provided me has been incorrect. Very concerning, given this relates to the pension which I will soon be a eligible for.

Call your new 401k or IRA to work with Alight, don't bother with their customer service yourself
I have been working with Alight for the past two weeks to roll over my 401k to my new employer. The first representative took my form and said they would fill it out because my statement is worthless. It doesn't have an account number, an internal revenue code number, nothing except my name and address and amounts. I reached out a few days later to follow up and they gave me a ticket number. I contacted them today and they said we can't fill out that form, we'll give you that information with the check we'll mail you. I called my new company's 401k provider, Empower for assistance. When I told the representative who I was trying to roll from she immediately said oh they're a doozy. She was not kidding.. she conferenced in with me and we waited 20 minutes for someone to come to the phone, we're routed to the wrong place, luckily it was a fast route to 401k after that and then the representative we spoke to didn't know anything about my account. Luckily I knew the numbers myself, otherwise who knows if they would have been correct. The representative from Empower spent over an hour with me to get my 401k rollover started. Now I have to call Alight back in 7 days to complete the rollover. If the first representative had told me this 2 weeks ago I wouldn't be in this position, it would have already been sent to Empower.

Alight denies doctor recommendations
Alight is the company for retiree health benefits. The staff I have dealt with are not able to answer questions about the Retiree reimbursement account. The hold times are extreme and so far have not resolved any issues.
Compression socks are a covered item in HSA. Even provided doctors letter for need, still denied. Why?
Absolutely no communication
Absolutely no communication, had to go to the doctor 3 times for 1 document just for them to reject the claim again. Finally told them we can’t afford to keep going to the doctor so they said they would take care of sending the paperwork and communicating with the doctor to get what they needed, and again another rejection.
Need to speak to someone, that will be a 2 hour wait if you even manage to get through without someone hanging up on you before you can even get the first word out.
How is this company in business?
Terrible communication. Terrible website design. Terrible customer service.
Sure I’ll repeat myself three times and then wait on hold for 5 minutes for you to come back and repeat what I said without any answers.
Please stop outsourcing benefits to this joke.

I'm only disappointed that no or 0 stars are not an option. My large international company switched to alight this year. What a debacle of a company. I have invested hours and hours of my time getting my account straightened out, multiple calls answered in the Philippines, only to eventually be placed to the US when my situation was not even understood. I CANNOT believe how they are even in business.
Alight was a nightmare to deal with…
Alight was a nightmare to deal with when the company I worked for used them to handle HSA/FSAs. They always denied claims for no reason, and then required ridiculous amounts of documentation before paying. Thankfully, after so many employee complaints our company switched to another company to manage the HSA/FSA's. The new company is wonderful, they made us see how bad Alight truly was.

Takes 5-7 days to get a new password. This is literally the only service I've ever seen in my 30 years of being on the internet where I couldn't instantly reset a password.
Avoid at all costs!
The most clueless bunch of "administrators" I have ever come across. Be prepared to just pay in the money for your FSA and never actually be able to use it.
Erroneous Fees
Customer service agents are very pleasant to work with, but the company's practices are ridiculous. IRA rollovers incur a $40 annual maintenance fee for holding cash accounts without any investment. No fees will be waived. Terrible account type, do not use.
Theives at best...
Agent was very nice but this company is a group of theives. Thanks Motorola for giving your retirees a thief to manage our benefits. I'm fully vested. Want to roll my pension to my investment broker since Alight is making me peanuts. Nov 14... but can't get my money transferred until Jan 1. Asked if they make up for my lost interest? Hell no. WORST COMPANY EVER.
