Absolutely terrible
Absolutely terrible. Not one single person has English as a first language. Inconsistent communication. I got a call during the day saying my leave was as approved. At 11:55 pm that SAME day, I got a communication that I needed to submit more paperwork. Then told the wrong return to work date even though the paperwork with the right return to work date was submitted. Received a phone call the next day saying I need to submit paper work that was literally submitted the day before. When asked why, I was told she was calling on behalf of my case manager and she didn’t know. When I asked that my case worker please contact me because I was confused and getting frustrated, I was hung up on and 15 minutes later received an email saying everything was approved. This is ridiculous to have to go through ALL of this when I’m trying to make sure my job is protected and that I will get paid during my time out from a work related injury. Absolutely terrible.

Alight Health Retiree solutions is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Especially when you are dealing with health care providers, medical questions etc.. and they are suppose to be the subject matter experts..lmao ...Customer service is the worst can't hear them ,they are not informed or knowledgable on simple questions about benefits. I Spoke to an individual ( Representative ) where I could not understand a word he was saying. His attempt at english language was atrocious . i saved a recording he had left me. I had other people listen to it to see maybe it was me.. nope they all said complain or report him.. I am so done with this fly by night company who hires anyone off the streets.

I would rate Alight a zero or less if this were possible.
Over the past year, Alight took a year to process a death benefit and lost the death certificate. They canceled my mother's health insurance 2X and, during the 2026 enrollment period, dropped her plan completely. She's 93 years old and they scheduled an appointment with her to choose a new plan but never called. I have called them at least 20X and the problems they say they are fixing never get fixed. Yesterday, it came out that they had billed my mothers checking account for a premium to the plan that they had dropped the previous month. She doesn't want their Aetna default plan, has told them that for months, and opted for a different plan outside of UAL benefits that was actually cheaper with the same coverage. I got that Aetna plan removed after talking with Dani in customer service but I have no confidence that it will be done correctly. This morning, I get a call from Anthony telling me that Alight does not have my mother's Medicare number and that Aetna will drop her coverage (the one she did not want but they forced her into) if she does not provide it. UAL, you have done a huge disservice to your employees and retirees! Shame on you!
They're the worst
They're the worst! Had to request reimbursement due to them freezing my account (happens a lot). Then I go to cash my check and they decline it. They're closed on the weekends for whatever reason. Service is not in the US. they constantly claim they can't verify my charges making me submit receipts.

Can't believe such a big company cannot even get a decent website that works. Its been 3 weeks since I requested a 401K statement, yes, you have to request, you cannot just click and get an up-to-date statement. Every week, I get an email stating, "This message is to inform you that we are still working on your issue. Currently, the statement being sent electronically is a technical issue and is being resolved. You will be contacted no later than 5 business days from today on the status of your issue." So now they look good as they move the date of the request to the current date...perfect! This is on top of having issues logging into their website most days, or clicking on a page and nothing happens. Normally, I just leave and come back another day. This is the 1st time I am raising a helpline ticket and they disappointed me there as well!
Absolutely the worst......
Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with any company. Hearing aid purchase denied on the 23 Dec. I called to get an approval and was told it probably wouldn't happen until after the holidays because every on had probably gone home for the holidays. I had to use my personal credit card to buy my devices. Later, after I filed a claim, it was turned down because it didn't say hearing aid on the receipt. I called to get this rectified and they were basically worthless on what I should do. I've also had most of my claims DENIED so this is a new tax thing so your frustrated and give up. TOTALY WORTHLESS COMPANY...
No retiree Rx support for 2 weeks after retiring
Went through a period after retirement where I had no retiree prescription service due to poor service. On line tools are confusing, AI chat is useless, phone lines always say higher volume of calls will delay responses.
NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Their customer service is beyond horrible, it's completely nonexistent!! I have been trying to reach them for 3 months to rollover my retirement benefits to an IRA which is a time sensitive issue and still haven't gotten in touch with them 🙃
The website literally does not work
The website literally does not work. It does not open. If it opens, it "loads" endlessly, and you cannot interact with it. It is pretty bad. I can't access any of my benefits information.

ZERO STARS. I am no longer with my employer and am trying to transfer my HSA to another provider. First I sold my investments and made sure all the money was in the regular account. Two months later and no transfer took place. I called Alight and after going through 4 representatives over more than an hour I was told that they couldn’t tell me why it had not been done and that someone would contact me within 2 WEEKS! I asked for the survey so I could complain, the rep said ok then disconnected me. A few minutes later she called back to say the reason my transfer hadn’t taken place was because I now had 4 dollars in the investment account again. Not sure where it came from, but I had to transfer that 4 dollars and start all over again. I did that. Another month has passed. Today I checked and I suddenly have ONE CENT in the investment account again, but it won’t let me sell one cent. I called to find out what to do and I am now waiting, number 18 in line. Meanwhile Alight is charging me every month for an account I don’t want them to have. (My new company does not charge a fee). Oh and when the rep called me back, I asked for the survey again and she disconnected me again. This company is THE WORST!
This company turned off my card 2 days…
This company turned off my card 2 days before the end of the year with absolutely no way to rectify the problem. I believe it was an attempt to keep the remaining 258.00 on my card. I think this company is a scam and I will never use an FSA card that Alight is in charge of. I will tell everyone that it is not worth the benefit of paying the balance pre-taxed income. The representative helped as much as he was able but the company itself is designed for people to lose their money to. Garbage. Awful. 0 out of 10. Never again will I use you.

They didn't file our Medicare application until 2 days after the deadline. Getting through to them just to talk about it is impossible. We spoke with them well before the deadline and got a confirmation from them. But they never submitted it until 2 days after Medicare's deadline. They are the worst company I've ever experienced in my life. I can't even believe they're in existence. Run as fast as you can away from using this company.
We did everything we were supposed to with Alight. We are now without insurance in 36 hours!
We have been covered previously with Hewlit Packard Retiree benefits. For 2026 they transferred our health and medication insurance to Alight for management. This has been a nightmare! We were told we had until 12/31 to apply since HP had discontinued coverage. After doing extensive research and making multiple appointments with the Alight Representative to clarify all questions, we applied for a Medicare supplement plan through Alight on 12/8/25 and went through the entire application process correctly. We hadn't heard anything from the insurance company in the following week, so I went back to the Alight website, only to find our applications were marked as incomplete. There was no way to find out what was wrong. We arranged for another meeting on 12/19, and their representative looked into what had gone wrong. She indicated that we had not completed the verbal signature process, even though we had, and she said we would need to do the application all over again. So we each did a representative assisted application with her by phone, and I insisted that she remain on the phone to witness our verbal signatures. The applications showed as pending. But by 12/22 the Alight website showed that both applications were incomplete. She said that she suspected that there was a problem with communication between Alight and Harvard Pilgrim but could not give me a case number until 12/26. She said she would call if issue not resolved by 12/29. Did not hear from her. 12/30 (one day before expiration of present health insurance) Called Hewlitt Packard for help. They got on conference call with my husband, me and Alight - spent over an hour, to be told we had to contact Alight and make an appointment. Got Call back from Alight licensed rep, who said this was a known issue, but could not issue written statement that we are covered. He said we have guaranteed issue beginning 1/1/26, But if something were to happen, we should pay out of pocket and then look to be reimbursed. Said manager unavailable to escalate issue. We now have less than 36 hours before our current insurance expires. I have been on the phone cumulatively for over 24 hours since issue began.
GBT uses Alight Digital - and AWFUL 3rd party
GBT, Global Business Travel uses this worthless company for benefits. Outsourced to India and none of them understand basic questions. BASIC. They read from scripts. You receive numerous letters in the mail, all with contradicting information. They don't understand Cobra, they don't understand medical benefits, they can only open "tickets" and send through to your company, who doesn't have the time to read.

Does anyone actually work at Alight? We have waited 2 weeks for my wife's papers to be received and they were faxed the day of. It should be immediately not 2-4 business days, I feel this is an office full of no one or at least people not able to fulfill these demands. People are going without pay because of Alight's negligence and just sheer lack of respect for anyone's time or health. Sincerely I hope this company gets replaced. Thank you alight for making this year so much harder
Organization is either incomeptent or corrupt
This organization is not capable of operating in the insurance industry and should be legally dissolved. They consistently accept payment for policies and then cancel these policies claiming "lack of payment." When pressed, they claim they "lost" or "incorrectly" applied the payments and restore the policy. I've spent countless unpaid hours dealing with Alight's incompetent representatives who consistently lie, but quickly backtrack when confronted about their lies.

The worst company to help you with chairmen service when you are in a leave of absence !!! Just horrible care managers who don’t call back and customer service people who can’t help you !! They frequently loose paperwork doctors send to them !!!absolutely horrible!
This company is horrendous
This company is horrendous to work with. We have an HSA and a Limited FSA through them. When you send the correct documents (dates of service, description of service amount and patient portion)They still do not accept. Mind you, my purchase was prescription contacts service dates in the plan year and they still only partially accepted. I am at a complete loss. Next step is a complaint to BBB. My contacts were charged as a split amount and they only approved 1 of the 2 transactions. I even spelled it out for them. They need a complete retraining on the claims side of things. I’m begging for our company to switch TPA’s.

They are the worst. My mom is ExxonMobil retiree and she passed away recently. I contacted employee benefits to report her death and discuss her life insurance as funds will be needed to bury her. Said I had to speak with Alight rep. The earliest appt available was 9 days later (today) with rep Jon 847-383-4985. I waited and waited and no call from Jon. Twenty minutes after appt time I started trying and reach someone the benefits center. While I was doing this he called and apparently the call went to my vm. No apology for being late or attempt to call me back. Just left a msg saying thanks for reporting death and will take likely 3 weeks for the paperwork to be sent and no need for me to call back unless I have questions. Of course I have questions, that is why I scheduled appt. Tried calling his number and it doesn't accept incoming calls. I am in tears as I type this. This company is the worst, and from the reviews I'm not alone. I tried calling the main number and it tells you to hold for an operator but when you do, it disconnects you after being on hold 8 minutes.
I will be very honest
I will be very honest, but I will also be truthful. I have had more problems with Alight but this time was truly the worst possible. Was given a new way to login and was not able to. Tried my old way to get on and couldn't, Finally called, and they misunderstood my date of birth, phone call started to fall apart, asked for a representative, and never got to speak to one. Wanted to show the cartoon of two women near a grave. In order to make an appointment he had to update his operating system, choose a password....but by this time he was dead. An accurate portrait of doing business with Alight.
