Poor Quality-poor after sales service.
We purchased a swing seat for my ageing father-in-law (93). We made the purchase 11 months ago in June 25. We also purchased the proprietary cover cover as it was on offer as part of the package.
We uncovered the swing in early May to find the cover had all but fallen apart and the swing was rusty in places all over.
We contacted Alresia and spoke with a lady called Rachel, who from the start made it obvious that a warranty claim was not going to be easy. She requested invoice, address and photos. For some reason she was either unable to find this on her system with the post code ro didn't want to. So the address and order number were provided together with 19 photos. All of this had to be done via WhatsApp at their request.
The response was that none of it was covered by warranty as the swing seat should have been stored indoors for winter in a cool dry place, despite having their own cover on it. I suspect that not many people have somewhere to put one of these indoors for winter. She offered to send me a link where I could purchase paint to repair the rust ! , this suggests that this is a regular problem. She also offered to quote me for a new cover, not a replacement but for me to buy another piece of rubbish that doesn't last.
When the swing seat arrived last year the packaging was damaged and the parts were poking through the box. There marks on the paint when we assembled it and we sent photos.
The material of this equipment is paper thing steel and is not of a good quality paint paint finish and as far as I can see there is no primer coat to the paint. My personal recommendation would be not to deal with this company or even consider purchasing their product. If I could attach photos to this review I most certainly would.
Garden swing seat not outdoor friendly!!
Our swing seat is less than one year old. It has been protected by Alfresia’s recommended cover (which by way on their website says will prevent rust) throughout the Winter and even before then it was not left uncovered if there was the threat of rain. We were very disappointed to find that when we came to use it for the first time at Easter it was covered in rust patches. We contacted Alfresia (Paige), who asked for photographs or a video. I had taken 18 photos and had trouble sending so many so I sent some of the worse ones. The reply from Alfresia was unbelievable. They said that it was completely normal and only cosmetic!! We are talking about a piece of garden furniture. Our previous swing seat survived over 10 years without a cover! What is the point of buying their cover? We followed the maintenance instructions on their website apart from moving it to a dry storage place. Who has room to store a swing seat? We certainly haven’t. We continued to complain through several emails and Alfresia were not interested in the slightest. In the end we decided to give up and post a bad review to prevent other people from having the same problem. Unfortunately I cannot post photos to show that we are not making a mountain out of a molehill. I very rarely give anybody a bad review but the response from this company to a valid complaint defies logic. My husband suffers from Parkinson’s disease and stress is the worst thing possible for him. To me it is not worth pursuing this claim although we have lost £450 as the stress it has already caused is not worth the hassle. BEWARE.

Damaged goods - no response to emails
When our cushions were delivered, the courier pointed out that there was mud all over the packaging from where it was dragged down our garden. When we opened the cushions we found that the packaging had been damaged and there was mud on one of the cushions. We have emailed twice with no response, and the review I completed for their website appears to have been suppressed.
Excellent customer support
I ordered a garden bistro table and chairs set directly from Alfresia. The package was delivered within a few days by Fed Ex. Unfortunately it appeared that our label had mistakenly been attached to another customer's returned package as one chair was damaged and it was the wrong table. Having read some negative reviews, I was a little nervous about what customer support I would get, so I contacted them both by phone and email.
Emma the Customer Service Manager contacted me promptly by email and asked for various details about the damage and photographic evidence, which was fair enough. She then said she'd arrange a replacement chair and correct table to be sent out. Sure enough the package arrived in a couple of days and both items were double wrapped and in perfect condition along with the undamaged chair from the first box. Emma kept in contact throughout the process and always responded promptly to my questions. So now I have the complete ordered set I cannot fault the product or the customer support.
OUTDOOR CUSHIONS
The cushions we took delivery of today are amazing, the quality and fit is excellent.
Would definitely buy from this company again!!
Poor courier service
Why would a company choose to use a courier service with a rating of 1.2 on Trustpilot? Self destruction!
I have so far received 5 tracking updates but no delivery.
FedEx expect you to be available up to 6pm to receive the delivery. Surely the could update their service to the same level as Amazon and Argos and give a more specific window?

Paige - thank you for taking the time to reply to my message.
It is entirely up to you which courier you choose. If you are happy using a courier service with a Trustpilot rating of 1.2, then go ahead.
I certainly will not order again from a company who thinks this is an acceptable service to offer it's customers.
Regarding the notifications, we have 5 so far but to expect a customer to make themselves available up to 18.00 is asking a great deal. Technology is available that allows more specific delivery times to be given. Argos, Amazon and many other reputable companies who value their customers use this technology.
Having read the FedEx reviews on Trustpilot, my expectations are low for Monday but let us see.

We bought a garden swing seat, the delivery was super quick. Assembling wasn't too bad, if you know what you're doing😂👍 The seat is great quality, very sturdy & cushions so comfortable,we think well worth the money compared to what we've seen elsewhere, as the saying goes "you only get what you pay for".. Customer Service is exceptional, any issues, they deal with it immediately and courteously. We highly recommend this company and it's products. Thank you Alfresia for your service & support.
Some Pros, mostly Cons
Pros - this garden swing is fairly comfortable, although not so much in the recliner position.
Cons - nightmare to assemble and takes 2 people. Instructions inadequate to say the least. The cushions are not water resistant. A shower left huge stains all over them and took 3 days to dry completely. Had to buy Scotchgard. The strings to attach the cushions broke off almost instantly. The canopy is tiny and doesn't stay on properly. It offers no shelter in front, and dips in the middle. The frame was scraped in places.
Altogether, not worth the price. Customer service is good and delivery swift, although there was a part missing. I wouldn't repurchase.
Extremely poor customer service
Hi, I purchased a recliner chair which was delivered on 2nd May, (cushion arrived the day before) but the chair is wider than dimensions stated on your website, so does not fit on my balcony, which is extremely disappointing. I emailed Alfresia on 2nd May to advise and ask for return process to commence but have had no response to date (11th May) despite emailing a second time and calling twice. I held on for 15 minutes on first call and 30 minutes on second call but no answer. Can someone please help?
Amazing company to deal with
Amazing company to deal with. No hanging around in a queue or having to choose options. I bought the swing seat which is gorgeous and so soft and comfortable. I had originally bought the luxury cushion which we found too firm for our liking so I changed them for the prettier classic ones. The person on the phone couldn’t have been more helpful.
The seat was easy to build and came with excellent instructions.

Amazing value and quality egg chair for my tree, I haven’t used the stand as I have a chain in my tree. The chair arrived before the delivery date,
It did have a small
Imperfection on a part of the fastener but this was very quickly and efficiently resolved by the excellent customer service team.
Issue with Hammock covers put right straight away
I would recommend Alfresia, we ordered replacement covers for our garden hammock. These arrived in good time, we unwrapped them and placed them to one side to fit to the hammock the next day. Upon placing them to the hammock we noticed one of the buttons had not been stitched correctly on one of them resulting in it sitting oddly. There should be four stitched in imitation buttons but on this particular one there were just 3 and the other was faulty with the stitching pulled out. Alfresia were great about this, I phoned and spoke to Sue who asked for some photos of the cushions and the hammock and a short video which I did on my phone. She agreed this was a fault and immediately came back to me to agree a full replacement. Things go wrong, all you ask of companies it to put it right without any stress - Alfresia did this. I would use them again.

Luxury recliner cushions, if they’re the right size don’t look anywhere else. These are solid foam and are comfortable, any other filling will not last, excellent!

Fast delivery - Ordered Wednesday evening and arrived Friday morning.
Site stated "Alfresia is one of the few remaining companies that make all of our cushions in the UK" - but this cushion is "Made in China" - very disappointing.
Time will tell on the quality of the cushion. Not as fat with foam as I was hoping.
