I dislike any company that will not cancel a charge for a product you no longer use. It may be legal, but it still poor customer service

It was very good to start with and the Ai Kai was helpful and because it kept a record of previous chats it would use those as reference and remind me of previous issues and how I handled them.
Then, Kai changed; it began answering me as if I was a complete stranger. I emailed support and they admitted that they’d been ‘experimenting’ with the Ai. Kai told me that they’d lost all my previous history of Chat and that was over a year’s worth of insights, rendering the Ai - Kai as they call it - now useless. I’d have to start all over again and teach it once more. What a colossal waste of time, and indeed money.
It’s not just that - it’s the fact that this is a mental health app and the fact I’m now left with no learnings, no history, and no reflection has not improved my mental health and I feel let down.

A scam, steal your money

Terrible company that likes to steal from small businesses and artists and use said stolen work in their Instagram ads. Will never download this app again

cancellation didn't work. I was then charged $130 at the end of the week against my knowledge. This app is geared to rip you off not to help you.

I’ve tried multiple apps and this one actually feels easy to use and not such a chore. Community based action is useful too.

I am writing this review to issue a severe warning: DO NOT USE the free trial of this application if you link any payment method.
The predatory payment process is completely unethical:
Predatory Subscription Model: The free trial automatically converts to a FULL 1-YEAR ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION costing approximately $70 USD, instead of a reasonable monthly fee. This is a severe financial trap (Dark Pattern) causing immediate and massive consumer damage.
Immediate Cancellation, Zero Refund: I cancelled the service and requested a refund ONLY 14 MINUTES after the unauthorized charge occurred, proving I had no intention of continuing. Despite this clear evidence of non-usage, Google’s automated system rejected the request.
Irresponsible Developer Support: I contacted the developer (Ahead). They acknowledged the issue and even offered free compensation, but then stated they cannot intervene with the refund process. I am caught in a loop of system failure and passing the buck between the developer and Google.
Unjust Enrichment: Charging a full $70 for an entire year of service that was effectively terminated after 14 minutes is unjust enrichment.
The application may be good, but its financial ethics and customer support process are irresponsible and dishonest. They rely on system loopholes to keep money for services that were immediately rejected.
Save your money. Do not trust the free trial.

UPD : they reached out weeks later and after some hassle enabled premium...

This app takes advantage of vulnerable people. Once you sign up for the “free trial” (which is automatically set to a yearly plan), they do not send any reminder that it’s ending clearly intentional. The app itself is messy AI content you could get from ChatGPT for free.

I cancelled immediately after being charged, but Apple wouldn’t allow a refund, and the app’s support team has ignored my messages. I’ll be reporting this app, and I encourage anyone else who’s been misled in the same way to do the same.

Predatory scheme to steal your money. They stay silent after you sign up for a trial hoping you forget about it. They don’t provide refunds, so if you message them, don’t expect any refunds, they refer you to apple billing, apple billing says there is no bill for this charge. Ironic since the bill is sent to my email after I got the unexpected charge. They charged me after 6 days, not 7, plus there was no notification and not a single email about the upcoming “upgrade”. The app itself was complete BS, just texts regurgitating insta posts. AI could do it for free. 🚨‼️ basically don’t give them your info. They will 100% take your money and offer a yearly membership when you asked for a refund. Disgusting

Hate this. I wanted guided meditations or something that would help me through moments of extreme anxiety but it was basically just extremely trite learning exercises like click 3 symptoms of anxiety….
I downloaded it in a moment of desperation when I was going through a complete life upheaval. Then I was charged £40. Which made me even more anxious. I tried to dispute it but couldn’t. 0/10!!!

I really recommend this app. It’s written in a fun and playful way and making me a better person. It helps to keep me focused on what’s gonna help me instead of what hurts me.

The app workshop out fine but the subscription does not include texting. They tell you this after you get used to daily texting. That makes it expensive, paying extra for texting with a chatbot

I have used many self-development apps so-far, Ahead is my favorite among all. I like everything about it: content, pedagogy, tone, humour, design and efficiency!

I am crying here this lady made my day this app has really helped calm me down helped me refocus and say yall try it! I have no words for how special my coach is!

I downloaded Ahead because it stated I would receive an email or notification before the trial ended. I never received any reminder, and was unexpectedly charged 400 DKK. I only used the app once and found it unhelpful for my needs. I believe it's unfair to charge without notice, especially when users rely on that promise. I kindly ask for a refund based on the lack of clear communication and limited use.

I’m really enjoying using this app. It gives actual practice to improve your emotional well-being in a fun and engaging format. I love that you take a survey in the beginning to help you pinpoint areas in need of improvement so you can live a better, happier life. Even years of therapy haven’t helped as much. Thank you for creating it!

This has been an amazing company for me . I am on a healing journey from PTSD from CSA and am on disability . The daily lessons on anxiety and mindfulness have everyone around me noticing the difference in me . If you need help, if you need to heal, I highly recommend Ahead .

Some interesting ideas! Overpriced for value. Lots of typos, errors and questionable references. Money-grabbing developers who do not care about your mental health.
