Abes of Maine Arvostelua 

I purchased a Nikon NIKKOR Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR Lens. Shortly afterwords I received a call to confirm my purchase. At that point the caller, Michael, asked if I wanted the retail market lens instead of the import market lens. He informed me that the one I ordered would not have the tripod mount sleeve. He led me back to the listing on their website to see the difference. To be clear their website showed the lens WITH the tripod mount attched in the third picture representing what I was supposed to be purchasing. For several hundred dollars more I could receive what was pictured during the time of my original purhase. Very Bad Marketing Practice. Stay away from this crew.

They were really nice. After I ordered an expensive camera, they called and told me that they are not an authorized retailer of Nikon and that they import from the factory and sell it. And they offered 3-year insurance for half price. They were very open about the transaction. But I cancelled it anyway, which they did promptly. I will be very comfortable buying from them for any future needs

I really appreciated Michaels help with an item that was not shipped with my original order. Michael was very professional and made it easy to receive a replacement for the item. It was my first transaction with Abes of Maine and the next time I need camera equipment, they will be my first stop.

Ordered a new sigma lens as a Christmas gift for my wife yesterday and Michael called to confirm the purchase. He went way above and beyond and did what he can to try to get the lens to me by Wednesday in time for Christmas. He sold me the retail model instead of the import. But he did more than make the sale, he earned a new customer for Abe’s of Maine. I purchase camera gear for my wife who is a photographer and I buy from different sources, but after my experience today with Michael’s help and customer service I will definitely be coming back to Abe’s of Maine.
