$1000pa Membership automatically added to cart without my asking!
Having spent the best part of half a day looking at their website, I decided to test their service by selecting the Gamma MU plan (200+ sites, 4 GB, 2 HF-vCPU, 105 GB) for $45pcm (cancel any time). I clicked the "Get Started" button and was requested to create an account. After creating the account, I was taken directly to the "Enter your card details" page. I almost entered our card details when I noticed the cart value was "Paying today: Membership until May 6, 2027 - $1000".
I thought I had made a mistake. I logged out, went back to the unlimited-hosting page, selected the plan, created another new account, and again a $1000 membership fee was added to the cart.
I logged out once more, returned to the unlimited-hosting page, and hovered my mouse over all the "Get Started" buttons. Each one points to a URL for their $1000 per annum membership. This is not what I wanted.
At no point on the web page for unlimited hosting does it state that a $1000 annual membership is required until you scroll past the pricing tiers section, where there is a small banner stating "Unlimited Hosting is included with WPMU DEV Premium - the operating system for agencies," which is purposely placed below the fold.
That is a shady misselling practice in my opinion. Even the dedicated servers are set up in a way that automatically sets you up for a $1000 annual fee, before you can even select what you actually wanted to buy.
Only when you have logged into the /hub2/ is it made clear.
So this is a no for me.

Hi Martin,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear the signup flow created confusion and left you with this impression.
You are correct that our Unlimited Hosting plans are currently available exclusively as part of our Premium membership, which is designed for agencies and includes not only hosting, but also access to our full suite of Pro plugins, centralized site management, client billing tools, and 24/7 world-class support.
That said, we absolutely understand your point regarding the visibility of this requirement during the signup process. While the information is present on the page, feedback like yours is valuable because it helps us identify areas where we can improve clarity and make the journey more straightforward for prospective members.
If you’d be open to giving us another chance, feel free to reach out to us directly at contact@wpmudev.com
We’d be happy to offer you an extended 30-day Premium trial so you can properly test the platform and hosting service in a real world scenario.
If you decide to stay with us beyond the trial period, we’d also be happy to work with you on Premium plan pricing and provide a full year of free hosting service through our Buyout program to help offset your migration costs from your current provider.
We appreciate the honest feedback and hope we may have an opportunity to provide you with a much better experience in the near future.

Was a great platform for its time
Was a great platform for its time, but the prices keep getting hiked and ultimately it was them not honoring grandfathered pricing.
Now, customer service is exceptional, its probably the only reason the founders still have a business.

WPMU DEV has mastered the art of…KISS
WPMU DEV has mastered the art of simplification. Their unlimited hosting is excellent, but the real star is The Hub , it just works. Having all my client sites being managed and hosted in one place makes everything easy to access and manage. No big learning curves or technical headaches, just a reliable platform with a great support team backing it up. Highly recommended for anyone looking to streamline their WordPress setup. Really looking forward to the upgrade in the ticketing system which is planned for release soon.

Luigi Di Benedetto — The Best Support I've Ever Had (Hands Down)
Luigi Di Benedetto is, without question, the most professional, talented, helpful, and genuinely impressive person I have ever worked with — not just at WPMU DEV Hub, but anywhere in tech support, development, or customer service over the last 8+ years.I have dealt with countless support teams, developers, and companies, and no one comes close to Luigi. He is patient, extremely knowledgeable, fast, precise, and actually cares about getting it right. Today we were working on a critical fix for my site (nucoatpainting.com) to help resolve a long-standing Google Business Profile issue. Luigi jumped right in, understood exactly what I needed, made the changes perfectly, explained everything clearly, and even made sure I was 100% happy before closing the chat. We lost connection briefly, but he got me right back and picked up exactly where we left off — seamless. He is not only technically brilliant, he is kind, positive, and makes you feel like you're his only customer. His name is fantastic too (Luigi Di Benedetto — Italian heritage from his grandfather, born in Brazil, raised with a global heart), but it's his work ethic and personality that make him stand out.If WPMU DEV has more people like Luigi, they have the best team in the business. Thank you, Luigi — you are a true lifesaver and a class act. I will be recommending you and WPMU DEV to everyone I know.George De La Portilla
