Incident Report: Employee Fraud and Absconding Case

This is to formally report that an employee recruited through WorkIndia, worked with our company for a period of approximately 10 days. During her short tenure, she approached the management stating that she had an urgent personal financial need. During her short employment period, she repeatedly approached the management requesting financial help under the pretext of personal emergencies.

An amount of ₹10,000 was paid to her in cash as advance salary.

An additional ₹2,000 was transferred to her online.

Later, she claimed that her sister was unwell and requested a further ₹5,000, which was also provided in good faith.

In total, she received ₹17,000 from the company.

However, after receiving the money, she absconded without any notice or communication. Multiple attempts to contact her through phone calls and messages have been unsuccessful, as she has completely stopped responding.

This behavior amounts to fraudulent intent and breach of trust, causing financial and operational loss to the company. We consider this act as a serious misconduct and violation of employment ethics.

We request WorkIndia to blacklist this candidate immediately and assist in any possible way to trace or take necessary legal action against her.

I subscribed to WorkIndia’s services to hire employees, but my overall experience has been very disappointing and pathetic like anything.
Despite posting job requirements , I have not received a single relevant call. Their database seems extremely outdated, as most candidates I contacted were either not reachable or not interested.

I purchased yearly plan as there support team was chasing for long time but post purchase they asked me for kyc and blocked my access.
as they need more documentation of my company despite of giving all relevant documents which needed.

now my access is blocked but none of the customer service is resolving my issue.

This is scam company.

dont ever purchase there's subscription. My 15k they just steal.

Fake site. Never recommend. First they take our full month money then give the access for only for 2 days for hiring employees. Then they deactivate the app which is very pathetic. Asking for so many documents nd not accepted any doc. Very worst service. Don't go for this site

WorkIndia – Extremely Unprofessional & Unfair Service

My experience with WorkIndia has been nothing short of terrible.

I paid ₹2,773 to post a job for my Ayurveda business. Instead of providing service, WorkIndia permanently restricted my account based on a hurried and misleading verification call, where the agent asked confusing questions about MLM/network marketing at high speed. Because I wasn’t familiar with those terms, my responses were misinterpreted, and my business was falsely branded as MLM — which it is not.

When I tried to clarify, provide documents, and explain, I was ignored. Their support team sent copy-paste template replies, refused to review evidence, and even relied on random Google search results to classify my business. This is highly irresponsible and borders on defamation.

After weeks of follow-ups, they finally agreed to refund but illegally deducted ₹500 despite the fact that I never used their services. Retaining money for services never rendered is nothing less than cheating customers.

I am an employer, posted a job for free as they offered one. Then, they contacted me to pay for their platform and post another job. As soon as I did, my account was restricted asking some documents that I do not have. Before paying, they told I can request a refund within 10 days. I followed up with them and requested a refund within 3 days of my payment. Now, they are saying you are not eligible for refund as you do not have a valid document. The issue is still that I could not use your platform, so REFUND. I also requested to delete my account, but they are saying they have only unsubscribe option, and no option to delete account. What the hell! They are not even aware about GDPR policy.

Their support team needs a better coach immediately, because they only talk, do not listen. They do not the basic etiquette of talking to customers.

Workindia.com take my money. But not providing leads ..

I took a one month package to hire staff as I required only 1-2 staff members. The moment I made the payment I got a call from workindia telling me that sir you have to purchase a higher package if you want genuine leads.

I get the same leads on my whatsapp daily. One or two profiles which I feel would fit the position are called for the interview but none of them come for the interview despite sending the location and address.

It seems the company has bogas profiles and it's sole purpose is to make money in the name of selling you packages

Never ever take any service from workindia.

We signed up for workIndia's Annual plan hoping it would help us find qualified candidates for our job postings, but the experience has been very disappointing. Despite paying for a full year in advance, the platform consistently fails to deliver relevant/fresh or serious applicants for the positions we are hiring for.
Most of the leads we receive are either unqualified, uninterested or unresponsive. We've also noticed a high number of duplicate or outdated profiles, which raises serious concerns about the quality control and database freshness.
Overall, the service has not lived up to expectations, and we feel that our time and money have been wasted. We would not recommend WorkIndia to businesses that are serious about hiring reliable talent.

They suck when it comes to providing Services to the Customer. One of the Scammest Company when it comes to hiring. this is what i have experienced as a Teacher. They don't listen to you anything. I am the Victim. One of the False company in India.

It's a Scam, they take advance payment for job posting. they will not clear your KYC will take all possible documents. Surprisingly they don't refund also.
They are the one of the Fraudster company when it comes to hiring. they make big promises. we will do hiring and all. We have given them the payment last month but till today. we are not able to hire a single person from their portal. I got so much frustrated with them. for KYC you have to talk to 100 of people to their Support Team. They are not giving our Refund as per they are not able to provide us the Candidates. so bad experience with them.

Workindia is a complete fraud. They take advance payment, then block access to applicants once your job plan ends, demanding more money for contact information. Apna job is a much better, and honest, alternative.

Terrible Experience – Feels Like a Scam!

I had a very bad experience with WorkIndia. They took money with promises of job leads/services but completely failed to deliver. After payment, there was zero support, no meaningful service, and absolutely no accountability. It felt like I was just scammed.

Their customer service is non-responsive and unhelpful. They just keep giving vague answers or completely ignore your concerns. This is not how a professional platform should work.

I strongly advise others to stay away from WorkIndia. Do not fall for their marketing – it’s misleading and unethical. I hope more people speak up so others don’t waste their hard-earned money.

Work India is the worst fraud company for job searches in Nagpur. They only offer low-paying jobs with extreme work pressure from companies that exploit employees. These platforms, including Work India, Indeed, and Naukri.com, are full of scams. They charge money from job seekers but fail to provide decent job opportunities.

None of the jobs listed here are truly worthwhile, and the salaries are ridiculously low. These platforms just keep advertising jobs, shouting "Job available! Job available!" but never offer anything above ₹10,000–₹15,000. Why don’t they go beyond ₹25,000–₹30,000 for Nagpur job seekers? It’s pure exploitation!

These job portals are just looking for ratings to deceive people. The companies they list don’t even offer proper in-hand salaries, and yet they claim to have jobs. The whole system is a joke, trapping job seekers in a cycle of disappointment.

Work India is a fraudulent company.

Once you register, they send you 500 CVs. If you select someone from them, they ask for money for travel expenses. After receiving the money, the person switches off their phone.

I had already complained about this earlier, but Work India hasn’t resolved the issue. These people have taken money from many others, and the company doesn’t seem to care. The company's reputation is being ruined because of such clients.

I want the amount I paid to be refunded to me within 48 hours.

workindia is a fraud company. they claim moneyback guarantee. but they have no real listings. they have fraud listings and not much profiles and then will never return the money back. they are looking to fool new people everyday with false promises.

they taken money 1st, then provide suscription, then stuck us on KYC, we provided GST, TAN n all details therefore they not varified due to bank details. why they forcing to provide bank details if they already taken money in advanced?

Absolutely useless website.Took the plan for atleast 2-3 times as I had 3-4 positions to fill at various times.But could find only 1 right candidate till now.Also no god support from their sales/service team.
