Too much extra work-not worth the hassle.
Seems like a good quality play set, but more than half of the wood doesn’t have pre drilled holes which is super annoying. The fact that I have to cut my own tarps too was frustrating. Those should come precut. Also, the rope wall was soooo hard to do. I had to used a trampoline spring tool just to get the clips attached to the rope…

Hi Shawna,
Thank you for your honest review and for sharing this detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear that you feel the playset itself is good quality, and we’re truly sorry that the assembly process caused frustration.
Wickey playsets are designed to allow for wood movement that naturally occurs with outdoor products, which is why not all holes are pre‑drilled. That said, we completely understand that this can be unexpected and time‑consuming—especially when it comes to adjustments like tarps or rope accessories. Your feedback about the rope assembly in particular is very helpful. I shared that with our product team.
We appreciate you taking the time to let us know where the experience fell short. If there’s anything we can still assist with, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our customer service team directly: https://wickey.com/contact-us

The design of the playset is neat
The design of the playset is neat, with the basketball goal, monkey bars, and cargo rope. However, the boards were extremely warped, bowed, and some were split. I had missing parts that I had to go and spend more money on or wait an extended period of time to get from the supplier. For the money the tarps should be cut prior to shipping. The surf board is very difficult to construct and doesn’t seem to be needed. I spent 16 years building houses, having squared structures is a determination of mine, the wood is made this almost impossible.

Hi Trevor,
Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re glad you liked the overall design and features, and we’re truly sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with warped and split boards, missing parts, and the difficulty of assembly. That’s not the standard we aim to deliver.
Wood is a natural material and can react to environmental changes during transport, but excessive warping or splitting is not acceptable.
I have shared the concerns you raised about the tarps, surf board, and overall build difficulty with our quality and product teams so improvements can be made. If any parts were missing or unusable, our customer service team would be happy to assist further.
We appreciate your honesty—it helps us continue to improve.

Great experience!
I had a great experience with the online platform! The only thing I would call out is that I wanted to order the light green color and I believe it sold out before I could order it. But instead of saying it sold out it it just didn’t list it as an option anymore.
