Webflow lures you in with the promise of no-code, design-perfect websites — but once you’re in, it’s a total time sink. The editor is painfully slow, even on a top-notch machine. One user mentioned that even with an M3 MacBook and fast internet, the designer responds at like 5% speed — scrolling stutters, and you’re basically watching a slideshow whenever you try to move something.
Trying to do anything feels like a chore: editing a section means rummaging through endless panels and hidden options. And launching changes? Sometimes they won’t even appear unless you republish multiple times.
Exporting is even worse — you lose all the dynamic features, and the CMS is wrecked. It’s like hitting reset on your functionality if you need to move off-platform.
Support is minimal — slow, ticket-only — and help articles are often outdated. Migrating away from Webflow? Good luck. Sites break, features vanish, and you’re stuck trying to rebuild manually.
If you want something fast, stable, and setup-free — keep scrolling, because Webflow isn’t it.

I'm honestly shocked by how poor the service has been. If I could give one star, I would. The platform is painfully slow and constantly buggy. Every time we perform a backup, the site becomes problematic and we end up needing to contact support—who often take days to respond. It's a complete waste of time.

Even inside the editor, bugs are constant and processes are sluggish. Working with Webflow is simply inefficient. The main dashboard is also extremely slow; navigating it feels like a chore.

Overall, my experience with Webflow can be summed up in two words: slow and unreliable. For a service that charges this much—and keeps pushing add-ons and extra plans—you'd expect the basics to work. But they simply don’t. It's disappointing and unacceptable for a platform at this price point.

Log in crashes often, concerning reliability for a tool like this

Constantly crashing, bad gateway, inconsistent auto save. Performance is poor.

You have to log in to get support. Their support email doesn't work, it tells you to log in.

That'd be great, if the issue wasn't the login itself. If you're getting 504 redirects and can't log in, theres no help to be had. They keep support tickets low by making sure you can't submit a ticket when you need it most.

Terrible company now. I just switched a client's site from another webflow developer to mine, and within two days, I got an email from billing saying 50% of bandwidth has been used on PAID plan. THERE IS NO WAY! This is a very small company and very little traffic. I responded to their email and it bounced back. WTH. Nope, I should be able to send an email for support. I had to log online, waste a lot of time going through their online system to figure out how to contact them. I saw my email I sent them in the support sections under "requests" and it was marked "closed".
All of this is unacceptable. I am going to highly encourage my customer to drop webflow IMMEDIATELY and I encourage everyone to RUN from them. Horrible customer service.

It's not suitable for e-commerce: Expensive and Crash

I constantly receive complaints that the e-commerce tool constantly crashes (when managing products, etc.).

It's expensive compared to the few tools they offer for e-commerce. They charge you for EVERYTHING! Want language support? Then pay. Want decent analytics? Then pay.

Summary: DO NOT use Webflow for e-commerce.

This company has the worst support ever, please make the right choice and choose for a different platform.

Poor user interface, prices are extreme, not intuitive.

I do not recommend.

Expensive, difficult to realize full cost until after signing up and support is unwilling to refund subscriptions.

I have been using Webflow for years but I'm sick of paying for basic features that all other hosting plan included.... moving to Wordpress.

The last straw for me is that its $15 a month for a seat so a second person can edit the site content and additional $40 per month for a second person to have full control (admin).

Google refuses to index my websites and root domain does not work at all so you must put www. domain .com otherwise you get error...........

Slow, complex and unreliable interface with really bad design flaws like not being able to expand a sidebar to not cover content (that mean if you nest something more than 5-6 times you just cant edit it anymore...

The webflow AI is not AI in smallest its just different name for using templates...

DNS, SSL or even a backend management is absolutely unreliable and not well documented that makes it hard to work with.

Their website builder is worth only for having a blog where you put a little bit of text not a functional website.

Everything is made so that the cancelling of a subscription is unclear and hard to do.

Canceled my plan because I was moving to framer, paid annual subscription, and they stopped hosting my website when I canceled. No refund, no explanation, no warnings before I downgraded. I figured that it would downgrade my account after the billing period.

You choose the plan for 500 sku's , but at 250 you are out of space. Webflow count each SKU as 2 units. Highly misleading is putting it mildly.

Webflow is a great idea — design without code, a simple CMS, the ability to export code and host it externally, support for variables, and a big community with lots of tutorials and learning resources. These were all the things I liked — and why I started paying for Webflow.

I was really excited about all the features and have used Webflow intensively over the past six months to build my portfolio. As a UX/UI designer with over 20 years of experience using design, video, and 3D software, I can say that very few tools have frustrated me as much. Maybe only Maya for 3D compares in complexity.

I wonder — has Webflow ever conducted usability testing with real users? If yes, when was the last time you tested your top 5 most-used features?

New features keep rolling out, yet for basic tasks — like placing text over an image — I still have to search for a tutorial, and the shortest is often at least five minutes long. That’s just not acceptable in 2025.

I don’t know if anyone at Webflow reads these reviews, but I genuinely wonder how you plan to stay competitive. Framer is easier. Figma is entering the market with serious momentum. I’d hate to see Webflow end up like QuarkXPress when InDesign took over.

If you're building a no-code tool for engineers, that’s fine — but then adjust your marketing. If you’re building for designers, listen to us. Ask for feedback. That’s what will make your product shine — and more profitable in the long run.

Avoid all at cost:

Their advertising videos look professional and even funny. But after paying for a plan, I realised how ridiculously hard and unintuitive their web design platform is. We can’t even do something as simple as dragging and moving the title or image around. The whole page looks like a complex photoshop with mini buttons.

I could easily build stunning websites in a week with all other platform. They refused to refund within the first month and said we as a user “could have spend time learning how to use webflow through their university site.”. With wix, Squarespace, we don’t need to. It was hard to move the domain out of Webflow too— they hide it so deep.

I DO NOT recommend any startup founder & entrepreneur to use this site. The results really isn’t more stunning or ‘technologically advanced’ than other platforms. Your software engineers may not need those export codes too!

The customer service said I can transfer the paid plan to other site or email. The promo code they sent didn’t work twice. If they can’t even do something this simple, forget about anything else. Plus they hide ‘Reviews’ section for their HQ address on Google Reviews. That tells you a lot about their brand! Huge waste of my money and time spent. Using this platform will only drags your product launch time and make you feel unnecessary stressed & incompetent when all other platform made it easy to use.

I moved on to bubble.io

Awful customer support. Its been over a week since raising a support ticket and no response still. Tried contacting them through the sales team but was just told that they don't deal with support. No number to call, no live chat. This is the last thing you want if your business is dependent on your website, what a shambles. Avoid them at all costs.

No support number to call or live chat with a human! If you need help urgently - forget it. You will have to wait for houra or even days before they reply to you via email - even for premium sites! This is a deal-breaker for us, as we're used to Wix Studio where they call you back free of charge within minutes or an hour at most 24/7.

WEBFLOW - you should really start offering better and instant support to your paying customers!

I wish I had never subscribed to Webflow for my website.

I was sold on "webflow is the mac version of IOS"... biggest lie and webflow is crap!

Save you the time and hassle. Everything is overcomplicated and worst part is once you set up everything they screw up everything on your website from time to time.

It can be navigator, page movement side to side, button not working.. they do stuff like this all the time to your website after you original leave it in perfect place.

I am convinced that Webflow uses lots of satanic psychology strategies against its users, etc. I wish I had never subscribed to Webflow, and I am ready to leave this hosting platform.

Currently, I encourage all my clients to use other solutions that work for businesses and not some pirate system to find ways to upsell you.
