Yoga vinyasa Shala is definitely one of the best choices I made coming to India for my 200hYTT!
The teachers and people working in the school are all amazing, so knowable, kind and very patient with each and every student. It’s really like a family!
There’s so many things to learn and I feel like this has only been just the beginning in my yoga journey… I’m very happy with my experience.
There is a couple of things I feel like I should mention I wish I knew before coming though. The school grew a lot (which is a good thing) but therefor it has 4-5 different buildings and it is not given that ‘you’ are going to stay in the main building. So what you see on the internet, the beautiful views, the lovely studio and the sweet garden in front of the school, might not be your home for those 25 days. I was quite disappointed by that. It didn’t change our learning at all, all the other buildings have the same equipment, but the experience was still a little different.
Also, the teachers did not seem to communicate with each other very well. Sometimes they were saying things, referring to topics we haven’t even talked about yet. Unfortunately there were also topics in the manual we never got to discuss at all due to the lack of time. In fact, it’s not a 200h Training, it’s only around 180. Yet our schedule was CRAZY full! There was almost no time to relax or explore at all. The teachers kept telling us to study and rest and read and and and…….. it was quite overwhelming but still manageable at the end ;)
Regardless of that, I had an amazing, yet quite challenging time at Yoga Vinyasa Shala!!! I definitely recommend the school and the experience it’s giving you❤️

I have only started Yoga 6 months ago when I decided to join this course and Yoga has lived in my heart ever since. The teachers were lovely, supportive, and passionate, and the course was well-organised and easy to navigate. I will forever treasure the experience Vinyasa Yogashala has given me. Very good program - fast answers when you have question

A month before I came to Rishikesh, I met a woman who had said that coming to India is a life changing experience. And it’s definitely how I can describe the time spent at Vinyasa Yogashala.
It’s the place where you not only learn about asanas but about whole lifestyle that yoga is.
In 25 days you feel like you have a new home and new family on the other side of the world. You learn how to breath and how to live in accordance with yourself and nature.
Vinyasa Yogashala along with its owners, teachers, staff and students will always stay in my heart which grew 10 times bigger here 🧡🙏🏼

It's hard to narrow this life changing experience down to a few words... From the moment you apply, there is someone by your side, guiding you through. I myself arrived way too late due to missed flights and felt bad, apologized multiple times and all they said was "Okay, no worries." I felt safe and welcome, someone waiting for me at 2 AM, smiling at me and welcoming me to the school - wonderful people.
The room was everything you need, comfortable and clean. I woke up in the morning and was overwhelmed: mountains surrounding me, birds singing, the nature just being there and making you feel in peace.
The organization of the classes was amazingly structured, very thouroughly thought through. Everything just made sense. And the level of expertiece from the teachers is stunning. Each and everyone brings in their unique way of teaching with this infectious passion - wow.
Not only their knowledge, but their pureness of hearts is what makes them exceptional - thank you for sharing your lights with the world!
The food was incredible, the staff unbelievably sweet, taking care of all the special needs you might have. Once you enter these sacred halls you become family, a real yogic family.
What can I say... I went in one person and came back out another one. Nothing is the same anymore, no colour, no smell, no thought. They inspired me to live the best version of myself everyday and make the choice to take responsibility for my well being in order to be helping others. Because teaching is about so much more than just passing on informations or asana sequences. They empower you to live your life to the fullest with all the love, light and passion you have within yourself.

5 Stars… Ashish and Tanu are incredible owners, managers and teachers! They made me and all of the students feel welcome and cared for. All of the on-site staff including Rahul and Abishake were also amazing!

They were very generous and had lots of surprises along the way!

Food:
Healthy vegetarian food, very similar each day but easy to digest and had a lot of fruits (compared to other schools). Sometimes the porridge was not good depending on the chef. They had some special meals eg pancakes, pasta, noodles and toasties… these were appreciated! Esp the birthday cakes… yum!

Teachers:
Philosophy teacher was 5* although the subject was sometimes confusing. Anatomy teacher was incredible, the most amazing teacher! Hatha teacher - very good but strict! Vinyasa teacher - not very good, the only teacher that seemed to not care and put little effort into the class. Ashtanga teacher - strict but good. Pranayama - Tanu, excellent!

For the physical asana they only do demonstrations on the men. This is probably because they think they are more comfortable but I wished they also asked the women in the class.

Timetable:
Our specific timeline for 200hrs group, A was great but I heard 300hrs and group B 200hours was not as good. 6:15am start, 7:30pm finish (after dinner).

Exams:
A lot to learn but everyone passes the exams so it’s ok and they spread them out, which is great!

Hygiene and other services:
Awful main bathroom at the school, if you are not staying in the main building you will need to ask to use other people’s bathrooms. The main one is disgusting.

They do not include any change of sheets for the whole time. They also never clean the room. These should be included perhaps at a small additional fee.

There is a separate laundry option which is good.

I am a Personal Trainer based in Dubai and When I turned 53 years , my wish was to become better in Yoga, get certified and start teaching. I was referred by a past student and straight away enrolled at Vinyasa Yogashala, took my flight and came here. I found all under one roof. A School with extremely qualified tutors, A home with amazing accomodation and healthy food, wonderful support staff who made my stay and learning priceless with a total lifestyle change. I am now able to teach, do lots of basic and some advanced poses and ready to share my experience with the world. I highly recommend it for any level student wishing to take Yoga to the next level.

I really enjoyed this school's classes and had a great experience with their program! The editing of their videos wasn't always necessarily polished, however it was clear that while video editing wasn't necessarily their strong suit they really understood the content of the program they were teaching, and their passion for teaching really shined through. Would definitely recommend!

I have started my journey with Vinyasa Yogashala in April 2022 from pure desire to expand my knowledge. I have been working as a therapist for many years and yoga was part of my weekly routine, giving me that stress relief and grounding feeling i sometimes needed. Having a desire to learn more I enrolled in 200-hours teacher training program at Vinyasa Yogashala school. I can only say that this was a life changing experience for me!
I have learned so much, from practicing asanas to meditation, mantras, yoga philosophy and so much more. The whole team is so knowledgeable that you just have an urge to learn even more.
Any questions i had where addressed fast and accurate, overall this experience pushed me from my comfort zone so much that i decided to go to Rishikesh and finish 300-hours teacher training in their school 😊

Here we are! It's been already a month that i spend to Vinyasa YogaShala School, this incredible school. The end of this course is looking barely unreal. I meet so many powerful and lovely persons, some persons living for the love, the knowledge and the passion of Yoga. But on top of that, they are literally teaching a new vision, a new philosophy that i never thought possible. At Vinyasa YogaShala School, you will found another way to live without anger, without fear, they will definitely make you create the BEST version of yourself. More than I've imagine. More that you can imagine. This course is very intense, let's be honest about it, but this feeling is just indescriptible.

Words have boundaries when it comes the time to express my deep gratitude, all my love to theses amazing persons. They did changed my life and I will never, never forget that.
Ashish Ji and Tanu Ji have the most brightness soul that I've seen in my entire life.

When I first found Vinyasa Yogashala I had no idea just how much it would change my life. My experience in vinyasa Yogashala was really beautiful. This school does its best to make you feel like home. The whole time I felt safe, very inspired and loved. And thats the most important for me. All these people do their job with passion and they treat you like a family member. Which I think is very unique. The teachers have a lot of knowledge and also make you motivated to push your own limits in a very caring way. Which is the best combination, in my eyes. I have learnt a lot during this month and honestly I feel soooo good in my body now! :) thank you thank you thank you, i can only recommend this wonderful school, wonderful place to be.

My experience in vinyasa yoga shala it's been absolutely amaizing ❤
I have no words to describe how beautiful it's been.. all the staff that work here are lovely, the teachers are very profesional and at the same time very warm and friendly and the owners are a beautiful young family. Everyone here put so much care and love on teaching us and making us living the best experience.
The food was delicious, the accommodation was good and the energy of the place is beautiful.
I would repeat my experience 100 times and I fully recomend this school. When you love what you do things always goes good, and they love yoga and put their effort in teaching their knowledge to us.
