A rewarding experience
A pleasant young man dealt with us very professionally but also in a very friendly way which made us feel both respected and comfortable with service he was offering.

Simple service to use. Very helpful, friendly valuers / staff. Very pleased with offer made. Phone them up, check when next in your postcode area & pop along with your unwanted valuables. So much better than Vintage Cash Cow all round. I can guarantee that!

Avoid
Attended 2 roadshows 1 on Friday in Wallington and 1 today in wimbledon.
After a bad experience the 1st time we decided to give it another go today. And have come away with the same feelings.
I would avoid at all costs! The Irish man was rude. He threw items back on the table which belonged to my parents who are sadly not here anymore.
Seemed un interested in what we had. No signposts up had to navigate my way to locate them.
Was told they are looking for vintage not retro. The website is very misleading as some of the items we had are exactly like the photos on the website! Both events they packed up early, so not helpful for anyone who is hoping to get in before they supposedly close.
All in all I wouldn't waste your time. No respect for the items you are selling or the people who are attending. The roadshow is nothing like it's advertised on their website.

Hi Claire,
Thank you for bringing your experience to our attention. We're sorry to hear that your experiences at both our Wallington and Wimbledon roadshows left you feeling disappointed, particularly after choosing to give us a second opportunity.
At our events, we aim to welcome every visitor courteously and to handle all items with care and respect. We also understand that many pieces brought to us have significant sentimental value, and we're sorry that you felt this wasn't reflected during your visit.
As a business, we buy a wide range of vintage and collectible items. However, not every item presented will be something we are able to purchase, as our buying decisions depend on factors such as condition, authenticity, rarity, and current demand. We appreciate your comments regarding our website and will review how we present the types of items we're currently looking to buy to ensure this is as clear as possible.
Sincere apologies,
The V&C Team

Good experience
Went to a local roadshow and sold several items that had been declined by another company. A friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Happy with the outcome.

Beware!
I can't speak for the Company itself, however I can speak for one of its representatives at Trinity Hall in Blackwater on Monday 20th July. Unfortunately I can't remember his name, only that he was Irish, very rude, unprofessional and totally disinterested in the items we took, even calling my husband a 'melt' when we walked out in disgust, although I don't think he really understands the meaning of the term! I really hope he didn't rip anybody off because he gave the impression that's all he was there for. Should really report him to Trading Standards as a typical rogue trader.

Handy venue with free parking
Handy consultation near to where we live. The two gentlemen appeared knowledgeable and we're polite. Their offer was fair and £ was handed over after valuation though we were offered bank transfer. Fortunately the room was almost empty but I feel screens could have been put into afford more privacy.

Efficient
Happy they gave price there and then and payment was instant, however a little disappointed that none of the many coins I bought along were really looked at or examined I felt they were only interested in the gold, but overall very polite and courteous people.

Gold, jewellery or and watches unworn or broken worth money
I took items that were not being worn or broken. Some I was unsure if they were valuable. I was given the answers and a good valuation for the things I wanted to sell. The team were all very helpful and gave good advice. Payment was immediate into my bank

Beware
Beware - very low prices paid for precious metals. Took a 9ct Gold Watch case in today. Initially they just said it weighed a couple of grams. Fortunately I had already weighed it at 6g. They then claimed that the strap bars were probably not gold so offered £120 for 4g i.e. minimum scrap price of £29/g. Foolishly accepted it and now regretting it.

Hi Jonathan,
Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We're sorry to hear this.
Our offers are based on several factors, including the precious metal content, weight, purity, and current market prices at the time of valuation. Any non-gold components, such as spring bars or other fittings, are not included in the precious metal weight. There is never any obligation to accept an offer, and customers are always welcome to seek additional valuations before making a decision.
We appreciate your comments regarding your experience and will share them with our team.
Kind regards,

A waste of time
My husband and I went to the Heene Community Centre with various items. The person who attended to us made us feel very uncomfortable right from the start, acting as if we had nothing of interest to offer. I told him that the way he was treating us made me very uncomfortable, but nothing changed. He offered us £3 for a 130-gram silver piece, and £5 for a ladies' Omega De Ville watch (steel and gold). He proceeded to dismiss every single item I showed him. Not only did I not sell anything, but he also made us feel like trash, showing absolutely no respect for our age—we are 78 and 84 years old. I do not recommend this company at all.

Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are very sorry to hear the experience encountered, as we aim to treat every visitor with courtesy and respect.
Our valuations are based on current market conditions, materials, condition, collectability of each item, and there is never any obligation to sell. While we understand that valuations may sometimes be disappointing, they should always be delivered professionally.
We take comments seriously and will discuss them with the team. If you would be happy to contact us with the date and approximate time of your visit, we would welcome the opportunity to look into this further.
Thank you again for bringing your concerns to our attention.
