I am delighted with my new car and with the service I received from Craig at your Edinburgh showroom. This is my first electric car and I was a bit apprehensive about the change over, but Craig was very informative in explaining everything I needed to know.
I am now enjoying a new driving experience.

Contacted this dealership regarding a Motability car for my wife. Specialist Paul Gordon could not have been more helpful, and the whole process from initial inquiry through to test drive and picking up the new vehicle could not have been smoother. Paul gave great advice, explained how Motability worked and dealt with all the paperwork. Excellent service and would highly recommend.

Our experience at Vertu Kia was excellent, staff member was very polite and professional in his role, made us at ease with our choice of car etc, there was never no pressure at all, which makes things on personal level welcomed

We came to the Newbridge showroom and were met by Craig Coleman. We had initially wanted to buy a used, 1 year old, car but Craig found us a brand new one, within our budget too.
From start to finish Craig was very helpful and kept us at ease throughout the whole thing, including a video of us pulling off the cover to reveal our new car when we picked it up.
We have bought lots of cars over the years but this is the best yet.
We wont buy another car for 2 years but when we do we will go back to the Newbridge showroom.

My initial contact was with Kia salesman Paul Gordon. Undecided as to which option was for me, Paul took time and explained my options, there was no pressure and I was left to make my own mind up. From then on until picking up my new car the process was seamless.

Love the car (EV3) It was an ex demonstration vehicle so it was pretty much brand new. The dealership went to the bother of putting a cloak over the car in their showroom & unveiling it, which would’ve been great if they had made an effort to inspect it first.
The first thing I noticed was a scuff on a door, then stone chips on the bonnet, It’s black, so was highly visible. To be fair the salesman took it away immediately & had them touched up. After I got it home I noticed that the car hadn’t been valeted. I found a dog poo bag (empty thankfully) along with a chip which had been left down the side of the passenger seat. There was grit in the door seals & under the floor mats. Whoever prepared this car needs to have a word with themselves. In short don’t bother with the fancy unveilings, just concentrate on the basics. I also feel Kia should make the effort to contribute towards the cost of a home charge point (like Arnold Clark does).
On the plus side the salesman went out of his way to loan me his wife’s 3 pin charger until I get my own one installed, he even came round to my house with it which I do appreciate.
Unfortunately I feel disappointed with that dealership.

Craig Colman , the Sales Executive who dealt with my wife and I was very helpful and personable. He very quickly and accurately assessed what we were looking for in a car. He discussed and demonstrated the car he thought might meet our requirements, which it did . He discussed the finance details of a purchase, so we were clear as to the costs involved. Overall he made the whole experience of purchase a pleasant one. He ensured we understood the operation of the car sufficiently at the hand over for us to safely drive away. While showing the good sense not to overload us with information but makng it very clear clear that he is availabe to help as we familiarise ourselves with our car. This is likely as the one fault with the car is the handbook which is not produced well and lacks clarity.

I would also like to say that although most of our dealings were with Craig, those of his colleagues we met at the Newbridge Branch were very pleasant and help full.

Max took time to explain all the Sportage's features and answered any questions we had. He is pleasant and knowledgable and kept us informed as to when we could collect the car. He even rang us to let us kow that there were tailbacks in the area so that we could avoid the worst of it.

My overall experience at Vertu Kia was excellent in every aspect.
The staff were superb very friendly ,helpful and courteous .
Kieran was extremely kind, professional and talked me through my options of which vehicle I would choose.
The whole process of selling and buying was straightforward. Kieran took the time to explain any area of concern or clarification I had.
Now the proud owner of a Kia Stonic.

Bought a new Kia EV from Vertu at Newbridge on Motability. Very good customer service with staff (specifically Gemma) and process was very straight forward. The car became available very quickly within 2-3 weeks but I was not able to collect it for personal reasons till couple weeks later. Only hitch was there was a problem in taxing the car on the day I went to pick it up, but that was resolved and I picked the car up couple days later.

My experience buying a car from Vertu Kia Edinburgh was extremely disappointing and unnecessarily stressful, involving repeated administrative errors, poor vehicle preparation, lack of communication, and months of chasing for basic documentation.

From the outset, the process was disorganised. After reserving the car remotely with a £99 deposit (with assurances that the 14-day guarantee would apply), it took 11 days to receive a correct invoice, and even then it later proved to be wrong due to an incorrect road tax calculation.

On collection day (06/09/25), after travelling over 1 hour 15 minutes with my son, no paperwork was ready, there was no service book, and no one had arranged to meet me at the station. I was left waiting while the salesman disappeared without explanation. I was then told there was “a problem with the car” but encouraged to take it anyway, with assurances that I would not be inconvenienced.

The car’s condition was unacceptable:

Significant paint defects and damage

Dirty interior with rubbish left inside

Blocked drainage areas under the bonnet

Damaged alloy wheels (despite being sold additional alloy insurance)

Faulty tyre and wheel shuddering at motorway speeds

Bonnet repair later returned in a different colour

There was also virtually no handover, despite this being my first electric vehicle and automatic car.

Worse still, the vehicle was still digitally linked to the previous owner, meaning features such as Kia Connect were unusable. I had to resolve this myself directly with Kia.

What followed was months of chasing Vertu Kia Edinburgh for:

Repairs that were repeatedly claimed to be completed but were not

A correct and legitimate service history (the car was incorrectly stamped by Vertu as having its first service when it had actually been serviced by another dealership)

Basic communication — many emails over weeks went unanswered

The car was collected and returned multiple times, once covered in mud, another time uncharged, and once returned without the promised service book. I was without my vehicle for extended periods and incurred additional fuel and insurance costs.

Escalations to management and customer services were slow and often ignored. At one point, the store manager was copied into emails for weeks without any response. Only after escalating formally to Vertu Customer Services did progress finally occur.

Eventually, in December, I was offered compensation options and chose two years of free Kia servicing, and I finally received a correct and complete service history — over three months after purchasing the car.

While some individuals did try to help later in the process, this experience fell far below the standard expected of a main dealer. The lack of preparation, incorrect documentation, repeated misinformation, and prolonged silence made what should have been an exciting purchase extremely frustrating.

I cannot recommend Vertu Kia Edinburgh based on this experience.
