Excellent customer service

Customer service is at a level that is not found these days anymore. I am connected on Octopus intelligent go and one evening I was having charging issues. If you call octopus after hours there is no support - thier offices are closed. VCHRGD were also closed but I left a message and within 30 mins someone called me and assisted me in the night to sort out what was going on. I was so grateful and I really felt valued as a customer. Because of my experience I would highly recommend Vchrgd to anyone.

Top tier customer service

I’ve had my VCHRGD seven pro for 12 months now and it has been absolutely faultless. I had a slight technical glitch when trying to migrate to octopus intelligent go and spoke to Adam from Technical Support. What a fantastic guy who went above and beyond to sort my issue, not once did I feel under pressure by him. He guided me through step by step and even gave tips on charging once my issue was resolved. A real credit to VCRGHD and epitomises what kind of company they are. All in all a fantastic organisation with the customer at the heart of their operation.

Fantastic service.

Called Vchargd because my charger was in fault condition. No answer initially because their office hours are 9am - 5pm and this was nearly 8pm.
Not long after, I get a call back from the out of hours emergency support from a chap called Adam.
Super polite, friendly and knowledgeable. Fixed my issue quickly.
I'm really surprised they have an out of hours support team but I'm very glad and they're clearly fantastic.

Outstanding Service...highly recommend

Nothing is too much trouble and they have the detail at their fingertips. They walked thru the setup and migration to Octopus Intelligent Go. They know the details better than Octopus.

Absolutely fantastic

Absolutely fantastic. I’ve dealt with Vchrgd’s customer service team on a couple of occasions now and both times they fixed the issue quickly and efficiently.

On this occasion it was Adam Browning who served me. He was polite and knowledgeable.

I would recommend Vchrgd to anyone.

Seamless install and top-tier support from Alex at VCHRGD

I had my VCHRGD Seven tethered charger installed today by Smart Home Charge. The unit looks smart in its black finish, and it looks very tidy as long as you wrap the cable after use.

I did run into a minor hiccup getting Intelligent Octopus Go (IOG) up and running, but the support was fantastic. I called the helpline and spoke with Alex from VCHRGD; he was incredibly helpful and reassuring. He quickly updated the firmware and talked me through the IOG setup on the Octopus app. Everything is now working flawlessly. It feels like a high-quality bit of kit, hopefully, it's built to last!

Seven Pro

The Seven pro was fitted by an installation company. However the after sales customer service is second to none. One of the best customer care I have experienced for a long time up there with some of the best. Some issues I am having are the App which is very temperamental after a update causing me issues with scheduling and user friendliness of the app operation. I also had an issue with the module causing the LED indication not displaying this issue was dealt with in a very good timescale the App is being looked at and I hope a fix happens soon. Other than that very happy with the company and its engineers.

MEGA!!

Installation was perfectly managed: technicians were on-time, knowledgeable and professional. What’s been most impressive is the aftercare. On two occasions we have experience a fault with the charger. On both occasions Vchrgd have given near immediate remote support and fixed our issue. Brilliant and the Vchrgd team get top marks from us!

From 1 Star to 5 – VCHRGD's Support Changed Everything

Edit: Old review 1 star. My 1S experience was related to seemingly poor equipment, and poor support; however, I have since learned Powerverse that I use is actually a 3rd party software platform for this hardware and my issues relate more to them than VCHRGD. VCHRGD contacted me and made a lot of effort to explain how this all works and not only that contacted Powerverse on my behalf and provided what seems to be a fix for my problems even though in reality it's a Powerverse issue. VCHRGD are by comparison actually a really friendly team, and have taken time out of hours even to try and help me out and not only that, followed up the first support call to make sure what we're doing is working. In this modern world, customer support is key and they have nailed it. Thank you for your rapid response and support!

Firstly thank you for your review, it’s greatly appreciated and we can only apologise that you’ve had such a negative experience to date.
We just wanted to ask, do you use our charger with a third party application? Because we can’t find you in the system under the VCHRGD Home App network and don’t have any records of our team ever speaking to you. We’d love to be able to clear this up and have a call with you to understand in more detail your concerns and issues if you’d like to call us on 01494370524 to speak to our technical team.
Regarding the intelligent tariff integrations. It’s absolutely true that we don’t have the direct Intelligent Octopus integration like Ohme does, in fact they were one of the first to have it. But this is something we ourselves are very clear on when we sell to cusotmers directly, again we’re so sorry but we can’t find any record of having sold the charger to you, so we just wanted to check who you’ve purchased it from.
Unfortunately whilst we’d absolutely love to have these integrations, it’s not something you can opt for as a manufacturer, it’s technically lead by the Octopus team and until that can be resourced and we’re allowed access to the integration, as much as we’d like to offer it to customers we can’t at this moment in time. However this may be changing very soon, but again this would be through our VCHRGD Home app and not third parties.
We apologise that you don’t enjoy the experience on the installer app, the main reason for this historically has been that third party applications such as Monta, Powerverse, Tap Electic etc. are used with our hardware and this means that for a centralised way to control WiFi configuration across all the platforms, we utilise the installer app to set up WiFi as it’s not always possible to have the function set up in those apps. But again this is something we’re actively working on in our own VCHRGD Home app and have plans to develop and launch in the coming months.
Finally with regards to being able to change the session charging times to top up, boost or adjust your schedule throughout the day, this is absolutely something we offer in the VCHRGD Home app. The only variation from this is when a session has been actively ended by the user themselves. Becauee we utilise the Open Charge Point Protocol, which is quite common in the EV charging space, as a sort of unified standard) once the user has ended a session we’re required to set the charger into a finishing state, from there it needs to be unplugged before being plugged back in to start the next session.
“ In an OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) charging session, "Finishing" indicates the session is ending and the charging station is preparing to be released, but the vehicle is still physically connected. The OCPP standard mandates that the charging station must send a "StopTransaction" message to the central system after the charging session has ended. After receiving confirmation of the stop transaction, the user can then unplug the vehicle and cable from the charging station”.
The main reason for this, is that if for example a customer has their app set up to not require an authorisation before a session starts, then if they were to end a session, there would need to be a clear instruction to start one again otherwise the charger would assume that the session should start automatically.
Again, we’re incredibly sorry to hear that you’ve had such a negative experience, and I’m sure that if you raise your concerns with the company that you purchased our charger from (potentially the same company that the app you use to control it comes from) then they might be able to discuss your desire for a refund in more detail.

⭐️⭐️Awesome Customer Service

Had my Vchrgd Seven Pro fitted recently which is very good but the installer was unable to connect the user app to WiFi. Contacted Vchrgd and at 20.24 on Saturday evening I got a reply and was sorted with in minutes the installer wasn’t aware of the new connection process. All I can say what an amazing company to reach out late Saturday evening ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Excellent technical support

We’ve just had our VCHRGD Seven Pro installed by Ascent Energy Services. I was very impressed with the technical support provided to the Ascent engineer on a Saturday morning by Alex at VCHRGD because of an issue in connecting to our WiFi. My wife and I are very pleased with the charger as well as the installation.

Exceptional Customer Service

We have just had a Vchrgd 7 installed and the customer service we received to resolve a problem, which was completely our fault, was exceptional.
We have only used the charger once since the install but it worked faultlessly and looks good.

An Installers Perspective

I am an electrical engineer and have fitted many Vchrgd chargers. I especially find the 7pro very tidy and so effortless to fit. When installation is finished it looks like a smart piece of kit. In addition the installers app is uncomplicated and easy to set up. As a last note the technical help is 2nd to none, every time I have called response has been quick and very helpful. I am looking at having my own EV next year and will be keen to have this charger myself.

Fantastic customer support. Alex rang me on Sunday night to go through the technical faults which my charger was experiencing (no fault of VCHRGD). Couldn’t recommend this company enough for their support and quality chargers

Amazing service and support

I had never heard of this company or the charger as it wasn’t in the list when googled. But I took the risk and I am glad I did. Customer service and support is outstanding! They go well above and beyond and I have learned so much from these guys. I would not hesitate to recommend this product and this company.

The customer support from VCHRGD is…

The customer support from VCHRGD is second to none. I was having trouble with my charger so rang the Helpdesk. They picked up almost immediately, ran several tests and concluded the charger was faulty. They then quickly arranged for a replacement to be sent and an electrician to come and fix it. Throughout the whole process I had one point of contact- Adam. Adam was very helpful, and always did what he said he would. I can’t recommend VCHRGD enough- the product is great and the customer service is too.

PS the electrician who fitted my charger commented on how good the chargers are, and how easy it is to work with VCHRGD.
