Honestly we love this system! So easy and an excellent way to preserve our food! I feel confident that our food is safe and what a wonderful way to preserve! I love this system so much, we use it almost every day. It was so worth the wait, and we can't thank you enough! BRAVO for all your hard work, it's changed my life! 💕

From marinating meat in less time than before, to keeping cheese and other ingredients fresher for longer, Vacuvita has become an integral part of my kitchen. It looks great on my counter and receives a lot of interest as well as compliments form family & friends. Better still is how well it works and how quiet it is. Make no mistake, it can be heard, although it is a soft, easy sound. Using the bags took a little getting used to but after learning how best to place the hose it is a cake-walk. Looking forward to using them for cooking sous vide. Very pleased with it.

The unit works as expected. The only small reservation I have is about washing the lids. They should not be placed in the dishwasher, but with some thicker soups/stews the little corners on the bottom of the lid can be mildly annoying to clean. Soaking for a few minutes in warm water is usually sufficient. This by no means diminishes the usefulness of the system as a whole and I am very happy I bought it.

I'm thrilled to finally have my VacuVita installed and in use! Besides helping me preserve and extend the life of my fresh food, I'm excited with the vacuum seal bags as I am a big sous vide cook and these are perfect! I'm sure I'll find more uses as I use the system and see what others are doing. Thanks for finally getting this to market!

The Vacuvitita units were worth waiting for, and a genuine value for those of us that were early funders. The base unit, while large, is the simplest to use and has become our new breadbox — keeping rolls and bread fresh far longer. We have had excellent results with marinating steak and keeping spinach and basil fresh in the containers. We have yet to master using the bags — some have lost the air tight seal or liquid seeped into the hose. Some improvements could be made to product design: 1. create a space to mark contents with a dry-erase marker for those of us who do not wish to use an app. 2. Include spare rubber parts for the plug in the main unit, and the removable seals on the containers (they are bound to get lost). 3. Clearly detail how to vacuum seal the containers and bags in the printed instructions (we did not find any and it took a few tries to figure out the rubber seal / vacuum process). Though a bit fussy for short term storage, this system takes some getting used to, but has a promising future to extend the freshness and flavor of food. Overall, very well done.

I've been using Vacuvita for nearly two months now, and cannot believe how much food I've managed to save in this short period of time. I'm still trying to optimize--deciding the best use for the main unit and what to put in the smaller ones--but I love having things like spinach, fresh lemons and limes, and fish seemingly last forever. The only down side is that the vacuum cap that attaches to the plug-in line seems a little flimsy, and the unit seems to want a lot of downward pressure from my hand to get a solid seal. I'd say I'm still in the learning phase though. No comments on long-term durability, but I sure hope it lasts!

I received the Vacuvita system a month ago and am elated at the quality of the construction. It is solid and is very well designed with the electronics tucked away. We have ben using the products on a variety of food items and it is doing what it is supposed to do. Cereals, nuts and are fresh and crisp. Cooked foods last extra longer in the vacuum boxes (stored in the refrigerator) Have not used the bags yet. Thank you for delivering a good product. We believe this will be well received in the Home/Kitchen market place.

I've only had the product for a few weeks, but I'm loving it so far! I saw it online a few months ago, and wanted it right away. I was looking on and off at different vacuum storage systems, and loved the idea of the home base the Vacuvita offered. I can't wait to play around and try a marinade or pickle recipe.

To be honest, I had forgotten about it with everything going on during the holidays- that is until the FedEx guy brought me a big box with huge letters spelling "Vacuvita" along the side. The problem with this was that I didn't know it was coming. It was supposed to be a surprise for Christmas...I just happened to be home when it was delivered. Not exactly ideal when your family is trying to surprise you.

I get that its probably great for advertising, but you might want to consider sending the product in an unmarked box- Or maybe even specify this on the order page, so people can have it shipped to an alternate address if they choose. Not really the companies fault, just a small suggestion.

I ordered this unit through IndieGoGo. I ordered several of the bags and at least one each of the containers, in black. After having it for over a month now I can say I use it less and less. Issues

1. Sometimes the main unit will not seal. Not often, but enough to be concerning. I have to fiddle with it to eventually get it to seal.

2. More often the containers won't seal, and the pump just keeps pumping. I eventually get them to seal but I have yet to really figure out why they do not seal completely at first. This is very frustrating.

2. The transparent containers mean that I constantly want to open them to remind me what is inside, but that defeats the purpose, ya know? Yes they have the bar code and a mobile phone app but I don't want to go to all that trouble. They need clear containers.

3. The ziplock bags are very hard to open. They do not have very much plastic above the zip so it can be very difficult to open them, especially with greasy hands.

5. The ziplock bags are all one stiffness, which for delicate food like strawberries squashes them and makes them completely not something I'd want to eat.

6. And the ziplock bags are WAY TOO expensive. $1 each? So...

7. I contacted support and asked for them to provide a solution to work with regular ZipLock bags and they said it was not possible! After several email exchanges where I showed them competitive products that did exactly what I asked for they admitted that it was possible but they had no plans to address this concern.

I am still using the main container for bread, but I am far less enthused by Vacuvita than I wanted to be.

My husband purchased the Vacuvita for me as a Christmas present. It has lived up to my expectations. I originally saw the Vacuvita on line was and was curious so I checked it out on your website and liked what I saw. Now that I own one I am very pleased with it’s performance and can see how it will help me in saving money due to cutting down on food spoilage. I can now purchase in bulk and repackage since there are just two of us and now worry about freeze burn. Thank you for such an amazing system.

I wanted to use the Vacuvita for a month before I wrote this review. If I get free bags, great. I'm 90% happy with purchase. Overall it's very beautiful piece. I waited over 2 years for this product, maybe 3, I can't remember. I was an early adopter on indiegogo. The wait was worth it. I watched this product evolve and they did a good job. It could have been great, which I will explain. Let's start with the main unit. It's big, I mean big. Have some room on the counter. It holds a lot, but for the space it occupies you would think it hold more. Still I fit 6 large baked potatoes and 5lb bag of red potatoes with ease. My only minor issues are with the containers. My main gripe is with the vacuum set up. I'ld prefer that I didn't have to remove the nozzle to use it after a few minutes. I guess the manufacturer felt people would remove it between uses. This is the feature I've been using the most. I'm worried taking the plug in and out will wear out the adapter. I prefer to leave it in and it be available anytime by touching the top button. The vacuum button is built into the top of the unit. It is LCD touch button that lights up when you place the tube into the rear socket. Would be nice to be able to start the vacuum with a button and I didn't have remove and attach the plug in the device. Instead you will have to reattach the vacuum tube to get the feature to work. The unit is very high tech and modern. It looks great in the kitchen. I'm using the app to track what I store. It's fun now, but I can't see myself getting my phone out all the time to note what's inside. A feature to add in the future is an area that uses dry eraser to note what's inside. The little window does help, but some items are hard to recognize. I own 10 extra containers and they all look alike. But using the barcodes is a good step. I could see fridges in the future that will read the bar codes, like in the Samsung commercial. The future is so wonderful. This product brings us one step closer to the Jetsons. I look forward to continue using this product. It's a great addition to my kitchen. By the way the potatoes are holding up great in the main unit. The food I place in containers seems to taste better after days. This storage system is doing what it promised. Great job, Vacuvita. You made a quality product.

I love love love this product. I didn't rush to review because I wanted to really use and test it. I originally helped fund this item because I liked the idea of the base unit storage for bread and crackers (I loathe frozen bread - and never got thru an entire fresh loaf without it spoiling or the crackers getting stale). It has exceeded my expectations! I love the app as well... it helps me keep track of what's in my freezer so that nothing will go lost in the freezer. Truth be told I totally forgot about funding this product and was pleasantly surprised when the shipping notification arrived in my email! Thanks for a great product !

One of the best vaccum storage devices. Easy to use. stores food for a lon period. My bread was fresh for about 7-10 days. very colorful boxes. neat and clean european design. Love it.

I was as happy as most of the other people reviewing the system when it first arrived. As a way of preserving food items inside the main container, it has worked very well. Only one attempt in using the bags and it wouldn't vacuum out the air. I'll try again; may be my issue.

I had an issue with opening the storage containers but the Help Desk got back to me within 24 hours with the solution. I didn't see that the rubber seal at the top could be removed to release the vacuum (I worried it was permanently attached and didn't want to rip it off). Might be worth a note in the instruction manual.

If my next attempt using the bags is a success then my review goes to five stars. Definitely delivering as advertised.

Product is sleek and stylish. It has been user friendly. I look forward to using this product again and again.

The system is amazing not only in how it works but in how it looks. Like the app letting me know the food that I've stored and when it expires. Highly recommend - well worth the price and the counter real estate.

After waiting for three years, we received the Vacuvita and excitedly opened up the large boxes. The base station is huge! It takes up a lot of counter space. With my order we also received four Vacuvita containers. After using it for a while, I'm here to share what we've experienced.

The base station seems to hold a vacuum. We have coffee and bread in it and there's room for more. Opening and closing it regularly is not a problem, and it's pretty neat how it automatically keeps a vacuum.

Using the containers, however, is another story. It take a long time for the system to vacuum the air out of the containers (perhaps because the containers are large?), and the containers can't hold a vacuum. After 24 hours, we have stale chips and stale crackers.

I plan on contacting customer service but so far this is lovely but disappointing.

This company is terrible! I ordered my VacuVita over 3 years ago with an estimation that I'd have my product in 3 months...Ridiculous! Finally in August I got an innocuous looking email asking me to confirm my address. Because it was not from Vacuvita it sat in my inbox for a month. I guess they figured if I forgot they'ed just pocket my money--nice. On September 15th I responded to my email and they said it would take a little over 7 weeks. Great. It will be hear by Thanksgiving. But these are people accustomed to working in a vacuum--so I guess they figured their 7ish week commitment was like their 3 month commitment...empty. So here it is Christmas and like their 3 month initial commitment came and went now there 7ish week commitment has come and gone and the estimate of 7ish weeks is still 7ish weeks. They suck, not just air, they suck time too.
