Bedankt voor uw beoordeling van de huur in Edinburgh. Fijn dat u de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding goed vond. We nemen uw opmerking over de lange wachttijd bij het ophalen mee; een vlottere start van de huur is belangrijk.
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! They did not rent me the car to me because they needed an issue date on my license which Australians don’t have. In the email that tells you what to bring it wasn’t included, nor in the terms and conditions attached. When you check the conveniently different terms and conditions on their website it says you need the this proof. Absolute rip off and seems like many others didn’t get a refund because of similar reasons and what a great way for a dodgy company to make a quick buck.

We understand why being refused the car over the licence issue, after you say the requirement was absent from the email and attached terms, was upsetting. We cannot determine the applicable document rule or refund position from the review alone. Please send your booking reference, the terms you received and any correspondence privately to ics@cs.usave.com so customer services can review the decision and explain the refund position. — U-Save
These people cannot be trusted
Very friendly staff. Very low prices. Located off the airport - so a bit cumbersome to take out and return car. We were scammed. Charged GBP 2000 for a scratch that we documented with photos that were there when we took over and delivered. We have repeatedly contacted agency with no response. They are speculating that we will not do anything. These guys cannot and should not be trusted.

Thank you for recognising the friendly staff and low price. We understand why the off-airport location was inconvenient, and we take seriously your dispute of the £2,000 scratch charge, especially as you say you have photos from collection and return and have already contacted the agency without a response. Please forward that correspondence, your booking reference and the photos privately to ics@cs.usave.com so customer services can review the vehicle records and explain the charge. — U-Save

The car was ok but the £2000 waver damage was unacceptable considering we had paid easyJet a waver.
It was just to try and sell you their damage waver insurance. Not expected but in the small print .
Next time I will not use this service

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad the car was satisfactory, but understand your frustration about the £2,000 damage excess despite the cover you purchased through easyJet. Cover bought through a booking partner may work differently from cover offered at the rental desk, and the applicable terms need to be checked against your booking. Please contact ics@cs.usave.com if you would like our customer services team to review what was explained and the options presented.

Merci pour votre retour sur la prise en charge et la restitution à Édimbourg. Nous sommes ravis que ces deux étapes se soient bien passées et apprécions votre recommandation.
£800+ bill for damages received.
I will try to keep my personal opinions and feelings out of this review, and supply only the facts:
1) When I purchased my flight with easyJet, I was offered the option to hire a car with U-Save Car & Truck Rental at Edinburgh Airport.
2) Since the hire company was provided by easyJet, I was given an amount of confidence that this was a reputable company.
3) Before I had even received the keys to my hire car, the U-Save office staff asked me to leave a positive review for their service.
(I declined on the basis that I couldn't honestly review a service that I hadn't yet used)
4) I was asked by the office staff if I had taken out extra insurance, which I had.
5) Before accepting the car I followed the request of the insurance company and took photographs of the car.
6) I could find no damage to the car.
7) The hire car was presented to me with an empty fuel tank.
8) During the rental period I drove the car very carefully and had no accidents with it.
9) Before returning the car I took another set of photographs.
10) I found no damage to the car.
11) I followed the return process of depositing the key in a mailbox.
12) There was no opportunity to discuss the condition of the car with a member of staff.
13) Prior to arriving home I received a bill for damages to the total of £883.69
14) I contacted the insurance company and asked how I could challenge these charges.
15) The insurance company instructed me to make a claim.
16) I submitted a claim for the unexpected damage charges.
17) My claim was paid within the hour.
18) I will never willingly do business with U-Save Car & Truck Rental again.

Thank you for taking the time to describe your experience in Edinburgh. We understand your concerns about the fuel level, the return process and the subsequent damage charge, especially as you say you have photos from both collection and return. We also take your comment about being asked to review before receiving the keys seriously. We cannot determine the circumstances from a public review, but our customer services team can examine the rental and damage records alongside your photos. Please contact ics@cs.usave.com so this can be reviewed privately.

£2000 Not released after 30 days.
