I had no idea who I was planning travel with when I found Amy at UME travel. She was amazing. Always available and very professional. We had the best guides. All our taxis were waiting for us and the people were very kind and patient with us. Late July was very hot and humid so I would choose a different time. Amy warned me about this!! It was a very good trip

We had a great trip to Japan. The booking process was easy. All guides and drivers were on time and friendly. There was a small hiccup in the reservation for one accommodation but the response from my travel specialist (Steven Hu) was swift and he took care of the issue.

We had an unforgettable experience exploring the beautiful cities of Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, Osaka, and Hiroshima. Every part of the trip was thoughtfully organized, and everything went so smoothly.
Our tour guides were absolutely amazing! Gary was exceptionally knowledgeable and gave us a fantastic introduction to Japanese culture, history, traditions, and local food. His passion and enthusiasm made the experience even more special, and we learned so much about Japan.
It was truly a magical and unforgettable trip. We are also very grateful to our wonderful drivers, who took such good care of us throughout the journey and always made sure we were comfortable and safe.

My sister and I, who are 73 and 87, looked at a lot of travel companies to help us plan our 14 days 13 nights trip to Thailand. After contacting various companies and looking at reviews, refund policies, costs, etc. we decided to use UME Travel. We knew what we wanted to see and do and decided to plan a 'tailor made itinerary'with the help of a travel advisor. We contacted UME Travel and heard back within a day from a travel advisor named Ivan. From that point on our trip was planned fast and efficiently based on what we wanted to see and do, motels we wanted to stay at, etc. Ivan was very professional, helpful, and informative and answered all of our questions and concerns. Every detail of our trip was taken care of! We had plenty of time to make any revisions and changes to our itinerary if we wanted to. When the day came to fly to Thailand we were very excited Our flight was out of Miami and that flight and 2 others after were delayed. On the third flight everyone on the plane had to deplane due to a flat tire. While entering back into the airport my sister fell and fractured her pelvis, sacrum, and a lower vertebrae in her back. Our trip to Thailand was over before it started! I contacted Ivan at UME Travel and told him what had happened. I understood and did not expect that there would be any kind of refund on our trip. He told me he and his team would contact all vendors, drivers, motels, etc. to see if anything could be done regarding any kind of reimbursement to us. Due to the circumstances of my sister falling, UME Travel was able to refund us 50% of our trip! We were so grateful for that! It was unexpected and greatly appreciated! How many travel agencies in this day and age would do that? I would highly recommend Ivan and UME Travel and Ivan for their professionalism, helpfulness, and honesty!

UME was everything a traveler could hope for. They really took care of me, provided me with updates and confirmations, were priced fairly and best of all provided me with the most wonderful guide and Driver. They really made my trip so lovely and always were patient and kind and accommodating. As a solo female traveler having this kind of confidence in a company is of monumental importance. So I thank you greatly and I'm so so very happy.

Our trip was wonderful. We loved the planning and the suggested route to get to know Japan and enjoy its culture, its food and its people.

The transportation was excellent — very clean, and the drivers were very attentive and punctual. The train tickets were perfect because we were always close to our luggage and very comfortable.

The hotels were comfortable and lovely, and the staff was very attentive to our needs at all times. The location of the hotels in each city was perfect: easy to get around, and in very nice, modern areas.

The guides were very friendly and always attentive with us. However, we feel they could have been better — they didn't know much about the history of the cities or the places we visited, and they could have offered more important cultural information. It felt like they were there mainly for company and translation.

Aside from these points, we think everything was incredible and a lovely way to spend our honeymoon getting to know another culture.

It’s our first visit to Thailand and our 5 nights in Bangkok have been smooth and interesting and so much fun with our amazing guide Kook 🥰 Carrie from Ume planned an excellent itinerary and Kook made it super special for us. Kook is bright and helpful, friendly and knows her way around, she very quickly understood the way we like to travel and the things we might like to try, including some fun Kareoke! 10/10 we would recommend Kook to be your guide. 😎

Unfortunately I tripped in the airport and instead of going to Thailand, I spent 3 weeks hospitalized. Ivan did a great job on putting together the trip and included everything we requested . He answered our questions promptly.
Should we decide to try this trip again we would use UMETravel.

We had a great experience from start to finish of our Japan trip. Our experience with our travel advisor Steven was great and he was so flexible when we had to change our plans when my sister could not join us in the trip. Having our own tour guides, driver and car was awesome it allowed us to adjust the itinerary based on weather and what we can do that day. Both drivers made sure we were on the right place at the right time and helped us navigate the crazy tokyo train station. Both Gwen and Yayu were great as they helped us communicate my son’s allergy when we were figuring out where and what he could eat. We hit like 4-6 things a day and provided history and background to what we are seeing which was a tremendous help. The hotels were great location and were perfect for our family. It was also really hot towards the end of our trip and our driver provided us constant water supply in the van. I would definitely recommend them to all my friends and family….Worth it for the convenience, support and ability to make adjustments to our needs. The tour guides listen to what we wanted and provided great recommendations that fit our family better. Will use them again for whenever we come back to Japan!

This being my first visit to Japan with my two daughters, I was anxious and somehow unsure about many things and adjusting to the same. Eva Wang coordinated all my pick-ups and drop-offs and ticketing to various places and made sure to check in with me from time to time to make sure we were okay. Her services were exceptional and very professional.
I have got a travel partner now, and I will not have to worry, as she went out of her way to explain other destinations that the company operates....I think our next destination is Morocco or maybe Cambodia....????

Planning for a multigenerational family trip can be overwhelming and an international destination even more so! This is where Ume Travel and Eva our travel agent helped to make everything seamless and easy. Our family of 14 ranged from kindergarten to senior citizens. I started on their website to search their different Japan tours that would fit our families interests and Eva was able to further customize the tour to our needs and interests. Having our own private tour guide and transportation was the only way to manage such a large group.
We had great tour guides in Masa and Gary- thank you!! Gary was wonderful and very knowledgeable about Japan and it’s culture.

We visited Bangkok from 30 July until 2 August. Our guide, Note, truly transformed this trip from simply visiting beautiful places into experiencing the heart and soul of Thailand.

His knowledge of Thai history, Buddhism, the royal family, traditions, and local culture was exceptional. Every temple, ruin, monument, and village came alive through his fascinating stories and explanations. He answered every question with patience, enthusiasm, and genuine passion for his country.

What impressed us most was that he didn’t just tell us facts—he helped us understand the meaning behind everything we saw. From the ancient city of Ayutthaya to the reclining Buddha at Wat Pho, every stop became an unforgettable learning experience.

Our family recently returned from a two-week trip to Japan planned by UME Travel, and I honestly can't imagine having done it without them. First time visitors!!!

Our itinerary took us through Tokyo, Hakone/Mt. Fuji, Kyoto, Nara, and Osaka, with an incredible mix of sightseeing, Disney, Universal Studios Japan, TeamLab, temples, shrines, baseball, Pokémon, Sailor Moon, and so many other unforgettable experiences. Looking back, I still can't believe how much we packed into two weeks, yet the trip never felt overwhelming because it was so thoughtfully planned.

The biggest thank you belongs to our Senior Travel Consultant, Lan Liu. We worked together for well over a year, and she was the heart of this entire experience. I'll be the first to admit that I'm a bit of a handful—I ask a lot of questions, I like to think through every detail, and I probably changed my mind more than once. Not once did Lan make me feel like I was asking too much. She met every question with kindness, patience, and genuine enthusiasm, and she always made me feel like our trip mattered just as much to her as it did to us. She somehow took all of our ideas and turned them into an itinerary that fit our family perfectly.

I'd also like to recognize the incredible team that helped bring everything together while we were in Japan. Kiran and David were the quiet force behind the scenes, making sure everything ran smoothly and that we always had support when we needed it. Laila made us feel like we were exploring Tokyo with a longtime friend. Tao was thoughtful and attentive, adjusting our day at Mount Fuji to suit our family's pace and interests. Yuya's knowledge, kindness, and passion for sharing Kyoto and Osaka's history made every stop even more meaningful.

What stood out most was how much everyone genuinely cared. We never felt like just another booking—we felt looked after from the day we started planning until the day we arrived home.
