As a microtechnology design office engineer, we can heavily rely on Misumi, which is essential for us, whether it's for accessories for plastic injection or any mechanical components. Misumi makes our life easier.

I'd order as a company with a valid billing address, but they refused to ship to my home lab because their policy only allows "officially registered company addresses" — no home offices. So I'm supposed to order to our company address, and have my colleagues reship the parts.

This is infuriating. We've done business with hundreds of companies and never encountered such nonsensical B2B rigidity. This policy doesn't serve anyone, only alienates prospective customers.

If, according to Misumi's slogan, my time is really their priority, then they don't add so much friction.

Given the above experience, I don't want to support them, and I'm actively looking for an alternative supplier.

I ordered a pack of T nuts in April and had to pre-pay as I don't have a credit account with Misumi. The process of pre-paying was difficult, involving a bank transfer. The order didn't arrive and I requested a refund in June. It's now August and I'm receiving requests for payment of the invoice, which Misumi say is overdue, even though on the invoice they attach with the request it clearly states that the invoice is pre-paid. An amazing level of incompetence for such a large company.

Such a variety of useful stuff, the search tab is very advanced, can find anything with ease. Ordered some negative tolerance dowel pins, 6mm and 8mm ones. The quality is top of the line, with radius chamfers all around and measured their values to be 7,995mm and 5,995mm respectively.
