Excellent customer service. I emailed Humax support with a problem regarding no sound on certain channels and received a response within a couple of hours. I carried out the suggested fix by Marcus and all working fine now.

Delivered as advised to replace old one that was giving major problems. Great to use and working well.

It is important to realise that my Humax 2000T HDDR is used at home by family members ,each of whom has a different attitude to and method of using remote controls.Therefore, in the course of time these essential pieces of equipment lose some of their functions and need to be replaced.This is my 3rd replacement and I am very lucky that Humax still has the remotes available.Full marks!! So, both I and the younger generation can still enjoy what the 2000T provides.Thank you !

Setup instructions are not very clear & unnecessarily complicated. When will get Netflix?

Turned up quickly hand set needed programming one phone call working like a dream.

The Humax Aura APP is one of the most temperamental, unreliable I've ever had the misfortune to use....It crashes, fails to record selected programmes and the EPG has just crashed AGAIN..... Surely, for a device like the Aura that was first released years ago, you would think Humax would have got it right by now!!!
Also, I have eyesight issues and the fonts are still way too small for me to read clearly on our 32" TV even when set to maximum...I wish Humax would address this too..

Its been over five years since the set top box I use was last produced. When it developed an unusual defect (clearly software) I did not hold out much hope for getting it resolved.

However, customer service sent me a clear procedure to follow, which worked at the first time of trying.

Wrote to Humax about a problem with the Aura app not showing a program guide. Received a prompt and very informative reply from Melisa and within a couple of days, which was during the Christmas period, the problem was fixed. Melisa sent me a follow up email which was much appreciated.

DHL a bit shambolic for delivery but otherwise ok. The instruction manual for the box is hard to find because there are three different unlinked Humax websites. And the manual doesn't match the functionality of the menus.

Humax Aura 4K Android TV Recorder purchased direct from Humax in March 2025.
It sat in my rack and performed faultlessly through 2025.
In December 2025 it started making a clicking noise and overheated. A strong smell emanated from the rear of the unit and a thin film of viscous liquid formed on the underside of the unit. Something had obviously malfunctioned.
Humax's response:
They cannot repair it and they refuse to replace it:
"Unfortunately, the only available option is to upgrade to, or purchase, a new box."
Please be aware that Humax may refuse to honour their warranty if your device breaks down - unless you are prepared to go to court (see update below).

EDIT 12th January 2026: Humax finally agreed to replace the unit under warranty and the exchange has completed. Humax deserve to keep the one star rating for refusing to fulfill their statutory obligations until I threatened them with legal action.

I had a small issue with the Humax I had just purchased. I spoke to Malisa who sorted it out in no time. All ok now .

Excellent quick service, ad a small problem but was quickly sorted.

Really quick delivery. Freeview box is excellent.

Unit appears to do what it’s designed for however my biggest complaint would be the lack of information to set it up and how to record etc! We have managed to figure it out but the lack of information is the issue especially for those not technically minded.

Very pleased with the service, the unit arrived quickly. I haven’t used it yet as we are finishing watching programs on our old unit.
