They try to offer discounted memberships for job seekers. My experience with them has been good.

Just another freelance job site that makes money by selling subscription for their service to artists. As a senior designer with a solid portfolio most of my application emails weren't even read by the clients. After 5 months and many applications I didn't score a single meaningful engagement. I doubt if all the job listings were even real. The budgets for most jobs are way below reasonable if you want to make a living from it and pay for all your software, rent and tools. They spam LinkedIn with sometimes long outdated listings to get artist to subscribe to their service. Avoid.

Twine is a great platform to try to find remote work. I have enjoyed using the platform

Great experience

Really strange stuff going on here... You guys either don't care about who is posting on your platform, or you keep it on purpose. Both are really bad.

The offer is full of generic things that even have websites of 'companies' that are a total scam. And apparently these 'clients' answer back (rarely but sometimes), and they set up a screening meeting... where you get to speak with some people who barely speak English, but obviously follow some script. And then you get an invite for a 2nd interview, and then no one shows up. But it's important that you've managed to set up your payment/subscription strategy well...

Waste of time and effort. They post jobs on other platforms to lure you in to sign up to their platform. Then when you try and apply for a job you are then prompted to upgrade to a pro account costing money. So you can't do anything without paying for the privilege to simple apply for a job.

Easy to maneuver platform. Great updates via email. Qualified applicants ie candidates. Appreciate that Twine vets its professionals who use its services. Overall good experience & will use Twine again as needs be, & recommend it. 😁

It’s simple, structured and you get a lot of offers. Worse paying. Also I haven’t found a job yet. I’m happy that I found this page

I enjoy using Twine and have found several interesting video editing opportunities. My biggest challenge is receiving responses from clients and standing out among many applicants.

Twine’s interface is clean and applying is easy. Job quality looks high. My only issue is I’m yet to get matched to a project since joining. Hoping Twine can improve visibility for new freelancers without prior reviews. Will update after I get work.

I’ve had a very frustrating and concerning experience with Twine, especially since I started paying for the platform.

Over the last couple of weeks, I applied to several jobs that later disappeared or looked highly suspicious. Since my paid plan only allows 50 applications per month, losing applications on questionable or removed job posts is a serious problem. In my case, at least around 10 applications may have been wasted this way, which represents roughly 20% of my monthly allowance.

What makes this even worse is the amount of suspicious behavior I’ve seen from so-called clients. A repeated pattern is that someone posts a brief, freelancers apply, and then the “client” tries to move the conversation outside Twine. This is a very common scam pattern on freelance platforms, and Twine seems to have a serious problem controlling it.

I want to be clear: I am not claiming to have proof that Twine is intentionally allowing this to happen. But from the perspective of a paying freelancer, it looks terrible. When suspicious jobs consume paid applications and then disappear, it naturally creates distrust. It also raises the question of whether freelancers are being properly protected, or whether we are simply expected to absorb the cost of fake, unsafe, or low-quality job posts.

The support experience has also been awful. Twine’s support system is extremely poor. The website loads badly, the communication with support is unclear, and when you send a message there is no proper confirmation by email or on the web that the message was actually delivered. I also tried contacting them through the chat window in the bottom-right corner of the website. My message disappeared, and I never received any answer.

The whole company feels like it is in limbo: nobody replies, nobody takes responsibility, and nobody seems to be properly dealing with the huge number of scammers or suspicious users who can apparently open accounts and post jobs very easily.

As a paying user, I expected a professional platform with real client verification, reliable support, and some protection for freelancers. Instead, my experience has been suspicious job posts, wasted applications, poor communication, and no real support response.

Twine needs to fix this urgently. If a job is removed because it is suspicious, fake, inactive, or against the platform’s rules, freelancers should not lose one of their limited monthly applications. Paid users should not be punished for the platform’s failure to properly verify clients and control scams.

I'm a beginner user of this platform, but I have high expectations because it's very self-explanatory and provides great support. I'm very satisfied so far.

A platform where you are sure of getting well-paying gigs. Give it a trial!
