It's now been over a month since my vehicle was handed over to Turners for repair. During that time, my MOT expired, something I made them aware of well in advance because I wanted to ensure their driver wasn't operating the vehicle illegally.

Today, I received a call informing me that my vehicle is finally ready. However, I was then told that my car is too large to be transported on their truck and therefore cannot be delivered back to me.

I explained that I cannot legally drive the vehicle because it has no valid MOT and that it is already booked in for testing on the 23rd. The response I received was essentially that they needed the courtesy car returned within a few days now that my vehicle had been repaired, and that my expired MOT was "not their problem". I was even asked whether I could simply leave the vehicle at the MOT centre the day before the test. I had yet to ask the MOT centre if this was allowed as I had only just got their call and legally I'm only able to drive the vehicle if it was to the MOT centre.

I expressed my frustration and said, "Don't cause issues for me because it's really pi**ing me off." This was then interpreted as a threat, and I was transferred to a manager. Rather than continue what had become an increasingly unreasonable conversation, I chose to end the call. The manager later left what I considered to be a rather unhelpful and sarcastic voicemail.

What I find most disappointing is the complete lack of consideration throughout the process. While the repairs were ongoing, nobody seemed concerned about when the vehicle would be returned. Yet now that it is ready, there appears to be no recognition of the fact that I cannot simply drive a vehicle without an MOT.

One thing is certain: if my insurance company ever suggests using Turners again in the future, I will refuse. Based on this experience, I have found their customer service and handling of the situation to be extremely poor.

Recently had a car being. sent to Turners Leeds Branch have to say 5 star service all the way the call handlers were amazing helpful and friendly the recovery driver was a true gentleman and went above and beyond my whole experience of this company’s service was absolutely amazing what a change in this day to find such courteous professional people who genuinely care old fashioned service with a truly amazing team many thanks to all of you 🙏🏻

Turners Doncaster had our car for 5 weeks following a non-fault back end pump, while in their workshop it developed a electrical fault leaving the headlights stuck permanently on. Instead of resolving the issue they attempted to push the car back to us, telling us to drive it to a main dealer ourselves to claim under our manufacturer warranty. I refused and insisted they take it to a Vauxhall dealer.
When they finally dropped the car back, it was dirty, had new damage, and the electrical system still had faults. An absolute disgrace of an approved repairer. If you value your property and safety, stay completely away from them.

Everything was in place when I took my car in for the accident damage repair. paperwork was all lined up and the courtesy car (via the Insurance) was fuelled and ready and waiting. The job was completed on time. I was given an update two days after the car had gone in for the repair to say how the job was going. And I was called in ample time to pick up my car again on the schedule date

Sheffield Centre - From start to finish the service was faultless. The ladies in reception friendly and explained everything an absolute pleasure to deal with. Everyone involved kept me up to date and the my car was fixed quickly returned in a clean condition. The body work completed was an excellent job. Would highly recommend this company they were excellent 🏆

The Sheffield garage was really helpful at every stage in sorting out repairs to our car - from initial assessment, through collecting the vehicle, to completing the work. All the staff were particularly good - keeping us informed, answering all our questions, and completing everything on time.

Staff are really helpful and welcoming, they went above and beyond with my repair and was so nice to me when I collected my car. They did a brilliant job I was very happy with results. Would me more than happy to recommend to anyone. Great company, service and people.

On attending the staff were unbelievable
They explained what was going to happen in detail
In 48hrs they had sorted my claim with my insurance
After that they kept me informed what was being done by phone or text daily
On the 11th of September l got a call saying my car was ready for collection
They had turned around my repair in 5 days
What can I say the repair was lst class
The customer service is 1st rate both verbal and phone
I will recommend this company to both family and friends and anybody who asks about a reliable garage

I was very well looked after by the team at Turners Doncaster. The process for my repair was fully explained to me. The whole experience went very smoothly and the repair completed very quickly. I was kept updated at all times

Excellent service
My experience from start to finish was excellent I could not fault the customer service at all. The staff were all very friendly and helped with my claim efficiently.
The arrangements made for my car to be repaired was also outstanding, nothing was any bother at all, car picked up and delivered back within 3 days - brilliant service

A good service , however it took 8 weeks from accident to booking and completing the repair. The communication was good, although a booked repair was cancelled the week before it was due.

Repair to my car was excellent. Ahead of the repair communication was great, on site people were friendly and very supportive and professional. My car is like new again.

Very informative throughout the duration of the repair which went very well , kept me informed at every step. Didn’t take as long as I expected to get my car back. Really great job no complaints at all.

I've had a 5* experience with Turner's (in Sheffield) who were undertaking the repairs to my car (which I'd only had for 2 months), after an incident mid-July (which was not my fault). The incident happened on a Wednesday evening and by Friday morning, I had been advised that my car was to be picked up that day to be taken away for repairs. My first interaction with the gentleman who picked up my car was great. He was very thorough and pleasant (I can't remember his name)! Throughout the process, I dealt with Mark who was the maintenance/repair engineer and he was incredibly helpful in keeping in touch with me regarding the repair process and ensuring that he went above and beyond to ensure I was happy with the repairs they were going to undertake. I've also had the pleasure of dealing with Kirsty and Bryony who have both been lovely and provided excellent customer service during the repair period (and even after, when I came to pick up my car and had subsequently left my water bottle in the hire car which they retrieved for me). Overall, I am really happy with the experience I received from all members of the Turners team and my car looks as good as new again. Happy customer all round :)

My repair was conducted through my broker the AA. The service was excellent.
The only frustration was the length of time between taking my car in and authorisation for the work to commence, but that was not the fault of Turners, but reduced the whole experience from a 5* to a 4*.
Turners, themselves were excellent in their organisation and personal service to me.
The three members of staff who were particularly helpful in booking in, advising regarding a hire car and then assisted in making the collection run smoothly were Kirsty, Bryony and Sarah, thank you for your updates and pleasant demeanour.

I would not recommend Turner’s Accident Repair in Sheffield based on my experience.

My vehicle was with them for almost three weeks. Instead of inspecting it properly at the beginning, they kept my car for weeks before telling me they wouldn’t be carrying out the repair because of alleged previous repair damage. This could and should have been identified much earlier, rather than wasting my time and leaving me without my vehicle.

Customer service was extremely poor. I repeatedly phoned for updates, only to be met with vague answers. On several occasions, the receptionist ended the call instead of dealing with my concerns or transferring me to someone who could help. It was almost impossible to speak to a manager or anyone who could explain what was happening.

Their website says, “We’ll do everything we can to get your vehicle repaired and back on the road.” Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I was left waiting for weeks with little communication, no clear answers, and no repair.

Very disappointing experience from start to finish. I won’t be using them again.

From collecting my car to return of the car has been an excellent experience. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They have an app so you can follow your car through the whole process, on top of that they send you a text at key points along the way. The standard of the finished work is exceptional and my car was returned with a showroom valet. I had to contact reception as I’d left my vehicle docs in the hire car, getting new number plates, and even that was taken in hand to ensure the safe return. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company and I will use them again if ever the need arises.

After minor repair to my vehicle front bumper / grill the parking assist does not work. Worked perfectly fine beforehand. Also after driving home the next day went to get in the car and water coolant engine warning showing. Hopefully they have not damaged it during repairs. When phoned to complain they said person I needed to speak with was in a meeting and would call me back. Still waiting to here back. I asked about where their quality control was and why did the not 'hand over' the car to me rather than just give me the keys. Couldn't answer.
