I have actual goosebumps at how powerful this software is. It saves so much time that is it inconceivable. Trint is intuitive and feature rich - it is clearly deigned and thought out by wonderful humans with very big brains. The quality is amazing and it works straight from the box. Thank you TRINT!

Trint English transcriptions are more accurate than other automated transcriptions out there (also more expensive), but they have many things to improve.

For instance:
I usually use their platform for creating captions/subtitles, but every time I split the transcription into small sentences using their online editor, it will mess the time coding, and I will end up fixing them manually.

They didn't allow me to change the email linked to my account "for security reasons." When I asked James Jenkins what those security reasons were, he just decided not to reply to my email. I was paying a monthly plan, and therefore, I expected at least the kindness of being answered.

I'm very disappointed with the service. I give it one star because it's quick and straight forward. However, the transcriptions were terrible, full of errors, which took me hours to fix. Not worth the money at all, I could have transcribed my interviews myself.

Tried to transcribe an interview in Dutch through this software but the software has a mind of its own. It translated many English words that are commonly used in English to Dutch (come on, I didn't ask for translation software surely?!) and also tries to interpret the sentences people create which means it has issues when people don't finish their sentences. Wouldn't recommend at all.

Terrible. Upload never works. When I signed up the website did not clearly state that credit for hours would expire after two months. I’ve since tried to get the money back and they’ve refused. Given they didn’t provide a service I’m still working with my bank to get the money back. Definitely not worth your money. They are banking on people signing up and forgetting about it. Other websites will always prompt you when things you have paid for are running out or in good conscience, would refund money for services not delivered. Not this one.

I was not happy with the accuracy of the transcription, so I sought a refund. I was met with fantastic customer service by James. He responded promptly and warmly and worked with me to get me my money back. While I wouldn’t use trint again right now, I’m optimistic about their future due to the high quality of their staff and their evident concern for the satisfaction of clients.

Very clever piece of tech. As a journalist this is a game changer for me and my day to day transcription work. Yes accuracy improves with a good quality recording but that has been the case with all automated transcription tools that I've used over the years. Its all about the editor - far more cleverly nuanced than others out there. A little ray of sunshine every day :)

Poor customer service. They auto charged me $120 and when I told them I was unaware of the auto renewal and did not need (nor did I use) any of the hours they responded rudely and told me they do not issue refunds to people who make that mistake.

I really want this to work. As a journalist who does a lot of interviews and features, reliable transcription software would transform my productivity. Have given this a couple of tries and sadly it's not great. I can see where they are going with it and really hope they can improve the accuracy of the transcription. Far too many errors (many of them completely off the wall) and far too much fixing required. It's debatable as to whether it saves any time at all versus just transcribing it myself as usual. Good luck to the team though, if they can improve the accuracy I'll be back.

I signed up and have not been able to upload, drag and or drop files to this platform.. I reached out to trint for technical support only to get an email of a youtube video that I've already referred to prior to contacting support. I've reached out again and there's still no resolution or assistance. Now I am trying to contact by phone however there's no telephone number .. this is so annoyingly a complete waste of time... something that should have been seamless turns out to be extremely cumbersome..

I looked around for a range of options, prices and tools before setting about transcribing dozens of hours of interview data using Trint.
The Trint interface was easy to learn and has quickly become an essential tool in my research kit.
The scales of subscription have made it easy for me to adjust according to my work load.
The team at Trint have been available and very supportive!
I simply cannot imagine getting through the workload without Trint.
Very happy user here and I recommend this platform!

Like others this has revolutionised my workflow as a video-editor. No more endless listening through interviews with this inexpensive transcription tool. The transcription is very good - not totally accurate, but the salvation is you can play the voice back at the points where you need to check and correct it on the fly. You can then export the transcript in various formats, including SRT (although some additional options wouldn't go amiss here). The transcript is time-coded and you can even export to EDL, although I haven't quite got this working yet. (a few tutorials would come in handy!) Trint are keen to improve and take feedback and are actively developing this project, so I'm looking forward to seeing more embellishments shortly. If you need to change the spoken word into text, this tool is a must have.

I have passionately loathed transcribing interviews for my entire career. I've even blown deadlines because of it (yikes). I've used manual transcription services in dire emergencies, but they are too costly for the volume I need. When I noticed that Apple started auto-transcribing my voicemails, I was curious and began to search for an auto transcription service. I found one, but it was very hit and miss. Heavy on the miss. Today I stumbled upon Trint and it's like sunshine breaking through the clouds. I was flat-out shocked by how accurate my first file was. Not perfect, no, (manual transcription services are rarely perfect either) but I probably had to fix less than 5%. That's a solid win. I'm practically bouncing off of my cubicle walls with happiness. I immediately recommended Trint to both editorial teams I work with. It's a game changer for any writer or journalist. A million thanks Trint.

Just started using Trint. Great concept in transcription services. The "Ai" technology has worked very well with correctly spoken American english accents. I love the word processor and it's synchronization of the video to its transcribed text. I did have some issues in using my preferred browser and made the change to the Trint recommended or supported browser. The technical support was fast, courteous and most importantly, they actually fixed the bug that was causing my issue. They graciously extended me a credit to re-transcribe an interview when a bug deleted it by accident. I would like to see some additional features added to the word processor, but would also like to congratulate the Trint team on what they have achieved thus far!

Trint has totally revolutionized the way I work- I'm a freelance filmmaker and documentarian and I have saved so much time and money. What used to cost hundreds of dollars and take days to do now literally happens INSTANTLY. I can't recommend Trint enough- the voice recognition is incredible, but the best part is the editing platform which can add timecode anywhere you need it and has really handy playback features for quick and easy corrections. Trint is the best!!

Excellent app, and loving the new features on mobile.

Spanish translations need some extra work, but audios in English tend to work pretty well.
I also love the customer support service, they've always answered to me within 24hrs.

The program is very useful but God forbid you should need some customer support. I've submitted to requests for support with absolutely no response and there's no phone number to call. Not good.

Just started a new company called The Making History Channel and am new to the media world. I needed to transcribe a speech from one of the documentaries I am profiling and went to the web to find a solution ... what a horrible experience. I had almost given up when I found your ad, went to your site, signed up and had a transcript in less than ten minutes. OMG have you guys gotten it right.

Trint is one of the best things I've discovered recently! It's saving me an enormous amount of time transcribing my interviews, and at a much more reasonable cost than paying someone to do it (plus the transcriptions are usually ready within 10 minutes). I couldn't rave more about this service. Thanks so much, Trint!

Trint has cut hours of production time off my podcast and student projects. I've tried other machine translation services, and Trint is the easiest and most accurate so far. And it's affordable! Thanks for making such a great product!
